Thanks for the crit!

Venochnid's legs are a vibrant green, because vibrant green and purple are the 'colors' of poison.

Frutlop's neck is very large, you're right, but the head...I don't see it. I'll thin the neck out towards the top.

Kipporisu is just an overall weird Pokemon. If I could, I wouldn't include it, but seeing as that's not my decision, he's here. I'll change the width by one pixel, and maybe change the placement of the right leg (it's left).

Venurzer doesn't NEED a design, but I think you're right in that it could use one. It seems a bit boring when it should be a very intricate pokemon.

Tornadon will be resprited. I'm not fond of the sprite. I understand exactly what you mean.

NOW FOR MORE SPRITES.

Coblaze. A fire snake Pokemon.

(now, keep in mind. I'm not doing all of these right before I post them. Most of these have been done for a week or so.)

Everything is going up on the first post.

I really like these new sprites you have, Aquakip. Mossachuset has a brilliant name, and I can really see him lumbering around and perhaps pretend to be a moss-covered boulder.

Twittle looks adorable, and sprited perfectly in the Pokemon style. My only concern is perhaps adding antennae, so people are easily reminded it's a bug.

Ah, Coblaze. I had a similar name for a Fire snake starter a long time ago. It has a nice, simple design, though I think the eyes could be bigger so we can really see what's going on with them.

I absolutely adore Cougoose, and wasn't expecting to see that kind of design for a Zangoose evolution. I'm particular fond of the black ruff of fur. It contrasts great with all the white.

I edited the first post with 23 new sprites. Check em out and tell me what you think!

i like the wattweiler sprite. i have very little criticism for any of your sprites, you've definitely developed concistency within your style.

i'm particularly a fan of the ghost candle line.

there may be spots where there are excess black in reoccuring instances with your sprites, but other than that there isn't much to criticize.
nice job on this dex, sprite on!

Aw, they are all so cute!
Like WillyCoyote said, you definitely have a specific style.
Which its good, they all fit in with each other.
I've never been a fan of Zangoose, but I love its evolution you've made for it.
All your starters look fantastic and your little flower ballerina, so cute :)

I actually forgot about this thread. xD

Wilycoyote@ Thanks. It took FOREVER to develope a style. Seriously. And now I can't seem to shake it! Which is good! :D When you talk about the excess of black, are you talking about the fakemon with black as part of them? Ex: Munkadro, Venurzer, and the candles? If so, that's my style. :/ If it's black, it's meant to be dark, so I don't like giving it a lot of shading.

loky277@ yes. I did scratch them all. :D And about the pseudo god: there's something very... regel and large in our dex (If my wording is correct. I'm not sure). But, that's all I'll say. You'll just have to wait and see for the rest. :D

Pokechuppa@ Thanks! I love Cougoose. He went through MULTIPLE changes. We couldn't find a design for him. We wanted him to look vicious and strong, yet fluffy and soft on the eyes. And thus Cougoose was born!

Now for the update. There's a large dump of sprites. Seeing as we have...69 consecutive Pokemon now. :D

Sea Urchin Pokemon
Water/Poison

I really think the first one needs a design overhaul big time. Its just the head of a snowman...

Also the other two lines I have quoted, while I realize they won't be next to each other in the dex, I could very easily see myself thinking the sea urchin's final stage evolving into the spirit dog's final stage. You really have to mix up your colors more, you always seem to use fairly bright, saturated colors. Which while I realize you want to have a solid theme that all the pokemon follow, you can still go a little off your usual style and have it work.

Speaking of color, I would suggest changing parts of the sea urchin line blue, as they seem more ghost type than they do water, or even poison for that matter. I think it might be because, it seems like most people consider poison to be connotative with a more a purple leaning to the red hue, and ghostly to be more a purple closer to the blue hue. I think that may be why it seems like a ghost type to me.

Lastly, if it really matters, just based off gut reaction these are the ones I think are the best you've made. All of the starters and their respective lines except the fire starter itself, Munkadro, Mossachuset, Marmozap, Tulipied, Jawlithe and Marrosaur, Gysteam, Evereeze, Wattweiler, the second unnamed sea urchin. Out of that group, I would say Marmozap, Gysteam, and the second unnamed sea urchin are the best you've made.

Like I said, its my gut reaction, and I obviously wouldn't want my opinion put over anyone elses, but I would personally base the other pokemon to be made off of what you did on those.

Hey, everyone! I'm back to updating this thread. And now I shall post the extended dex(of what we have). :) I'll be editing the first post to have every fakemon on it and their names. So...bare with me, it might be a while. :p

So, that's the dex as of yet. Please comment with crit, praise, or concern. :p

EDIT:

due to various reasons I have taken down the dex. sorry.

Your sprite style is consistently amazing, and probably one of the most refined I've seen in a FakeDex. They don't always match the style of spriting Pokemon uses, but your style is just as good if not better. :)
The only concern that stood out to me was the outlining on the head of the Tropius pre-evolution.

I really LOVE the way you recolored Corchin to be a more water type, although I think urchid's purple should be a really dark blue, but it still works.

Also, I think through finding a problem in my fakemon, it might also be why I dislike some of your fakemon, but like some of the others. And I think it happens whenever the idea of the pokemon overshadows the pokemon itself, it ends up making it too simple, and like the pokemon itself doesn't really have a personality.

For example, aereon, its a cat, with wing ears and nothing else. Cool, but will it be cool knowing its gimmick, and seeing it the tenth time? I find this type of thing for Domindo, who's just a robot with brain, and Atamie, which is a typical hooded ghost with no personality.

One of the other things that I dislike about many of those I just listed, is could you see them in other biomes of the pokemon world? I don't know about you, but I could not see Domindo strolling through a forest like its normal.

I do realize there are pokemon like porygon in the real games, but they aren't dominated by their ideas, and I could see a porygon as looking at least more fit to blend in with forest pokemon than a complete machine.

Amazing Pokémon sprites

Those are some excellent Pokémon sprites you have there. I really do appreciate the fluffy, smooth art technique you used, instead of the normal, sharp, digital-style most others do (including me). Although, I do have a feeling you got a little lazy on some of the later Pokémon, it's overall amazing.

My only suggestion would be for you to put the names of the Pokémon in the chart, rather than below it, for reference and such. Keep up the great work.

I've always liked your spriting style. It just goes to show how a sprite doesn't need many shades to look good. All your concepts are eye catching, and there's nothing that the sprites lack.

As much as I love your fakemon evos/pre-evos, I prefer your original concepts.

Keep up your great work, and I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your work.

And like I've said (I think) the water starter still looks like the left fin for us is coming out in front. I bet you'll tell me that that's how you want it to look XD

Ilove your sprites! But I think the Tropius pre-ev needs it's legs more fat, they don't look like they can support it's large body
I think your Seviper evo needs to look a tiny bit more like Seviper, it's sorta hard to tel it's even a SEviper evo

And last, I gotta ask, HOW doyou scratch fire?! It's so hard for me to scratch, how do you do it :O
