Greetings. I'm Moonsied. I've been haunting these boards for a little over a year now and finally decided to become a member. Let's see... I've been into Pokemon since I saw the anime way back in '97. I currently own the Red, Gold, Ruby, Emerald, FireRed, and Gale of Darkness games.

I love the show (even though there were moments when stopped watching the series during the Johto arc), although I have been thoroughly impressed with the Hoenn arc so far. Unfortunately, given my location, the episodes shown here are probably a year behind the US (the last episode shown was Gulpin It Down), but I guess the upside is that it comes on 5 days a week at 4:30pm.

I guess my favorite characters from the show would Ash, May (though I'm not a shipper, and I don't entirely know what that means), and Team Rocket (mostly James) on occasion (they tend to bug sometimes). As for the Pokemon themselves, um, well, I have been told that my tastes in Pokemon are odd. I tend to like cute Pokemon (Clefairy, Chansey, Skitty, etc.), Moon-based Pokes (Clefairy again, Umbreon, Teddiursa), and some Dark and Ghost types (Misdreavus, Banette, Absol). At some point, I'll probably post my faves in a sig (when/if sigs are enabled, and I have read the Sig/Avatar thread in the Announcements forum, or at least 30 pages of it).

As for non-Pokemon stuff, I'm into anime, music (mostly from games, ala Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Pokemon, Megaman, Sonic, Gunstar Heroes, etc.), and games. Actually, I just started (under peer pressure) playing World of Warcraft. Don't know if I like it or not. Blah. Anyway, I'm 21 (I feel old, especially with people telling I should've stop playing Pokemon a long time ago), and plan on spending most of my young adult life travelling the world (Italy's a beautiful place, BTW).

Hmm, I feel like I'm posting too much for a first post (and yet I keep typing). So...yeah, I hope I'll enjoy my time here on the forums.

BTW, you'll probably be seeing a lot of parentheses and random show/games quotes whenever I type. Just giving a heads-up.

ALSO, this is my first post is any forum on the internet, so I'm still getting used posting (it seems easy enough).

Wow, I love you already! Thank you for that great info on you, since you are the only one to really explain yourself that much so far. Anyways, I'm glad to see you've read the rules already, and this sticky will help you out if you ever find yourself confused (though I'm sure you've already read it). Also, I was born in Italy and lived there for about five years. I love it as well too (of course). And finally, don't feel like you are too old, there are plenty of people here who are your age and even older. Have a great time.

Wow, and I thought I was overdoing it with the intro. Thanks, everyone!! And I have read that thread you posted, Blue Star. I'm only in Italy for two years (been here for about 8 months as of now) and I'm planning on travelling a bit more during the summer (beaches, baby!). And don't worry about me breaking da rules, at least not on purpose...(goes to read rules again) Yeah, I won't be doing any of that.

Wow. Impressive introductory speech. 21, lurking for a year, and first time on a forum, eh? Reminds me of myself...

Anyway, I can already tell you'll fit in great around here. As you've probably already observed, the people are overwhelmingly friendly and accepting. And they particularly love the mature, articulate types such as yourself. Welcome to the party; I hope you enjoy it!

Ooh, nice introductory post and I certainly hope you remain an active and rule-abiding member of SPPf. Feel free to contact me by PM (private message) system for anything, and don't worry, the stickies are always there.

About the sigs/avatars announcement, Serebii/Joe also made another one in regards to that so you are free to have avatars and signatures again. Be sure to make sure it abides by the rules and if you are ever unsure of anything, remember to check the stickies here. They are very useful, especially the Newbie Help Topic and FAQ.

And you can apply to be a newbie to be adopted, in the Adopt-a-Newbie Agency, where I am the temporary owner because the founder is forced to stay off the computer for nine weeks.

So, have fun and stay out of trouble. ^^
