My piece of advice: in the event that you should require a rescue, go post your SOS mail on the gamefaqs forums. The veterans there are much more willing to help out.

Whew, thanks. I didn't want to bring advantage types because they might accidentally KO some Lapras that I'm trying to recruit. Skitty is my lead and highest leveled, Lv. 97.

I still recommend you bring in type-advantaged Pokemon; you can simply turn off their moves (while having the IQ skill 'Exclusive Move-User' switched on) if you don't want them dealing the finishing blow. X-Ray Specs on your leader helps you keep a lookout for any approaching Pokemon - be they the Lapras you want to recruit or otherwise.

If you don't already know, the Amber Tear and Golden Mask from B40F Zero Isle West and B70F Zero Isle North, respectively, will substantially increase recruit rate.

P.S. Your Skitty's level is obscenely high. My own team isn't even half that.

Ahh, thanks for the tips. I already have the Golden Mask. But the Lapras just don't appear, it's always like that. Need rescuing again. THIS time I'll escape right away.

Incidentally, what point of the game are you currently at? I would assume someplace before Marine Resort; you haven't evolved your starter (unless you didn't want to?).
