Hello, I'm new to this forum and I really like pokemon especially emerald and the FR and LG versions
Well, I know this might be the wrong place to post but I've seen a lot of this threads here so I'm gonna try it
Here it goes:
I decided to make a team with no ubers or starters so i chose this pokemon
Metagross
Heracross
Absol
Jolteon
??????
¿¿¿¿¿¿
As you see there are 2 pokemon missing and i have no clue on what they can be, I would please like to hear suggestions and also what attcks should my pokemon have and what ev's please I'm new in Ev's and also on combintaing attacks well thank you anyways
I hope someone answers
:)
PD:I got LG also, i`m playing emerald and i got a ds so its gonna be hard to get a gba for poke trading so please only post emerald pokes (I got eevee from a friend but he hasen't got 2 gbas anymore)

If you can, I'd suggest Regice. You lack both a Special Wall and decent Special Attackers(Jolteon's good, but it's not going to last very long; bad Defenses).

Try a Starmie, too. Starmie are great Pokémon. They learn a ton of good, strong moves and can do good damage to the other team.

Regice: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Rest/Psych Up.

Starmie: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Recover, Psychic/Surf.

Should get you through pretty well. I'd advise against Absol, though. It's not really all that useful. You can make use of it, yeah, but it won't do you as much as some other Pokémon will.

an entire thread about EVs and IVs. the part you're looking for is:

"VERY IMPORTANT—Stat gain from EVs is NOT added up all at once, but gradually as your Pokemon gains levels. At LV 100, your Pokemon will have all the stat gain from EVs it is supposed to, but you may not see large stat gains all at once. For example, if you have a low level Pokemon battle 20 Zubat, you will not necessarily see a +5 gain when it levels up. However, you probably WILL see this kind of gain in a LV 50 Pokemon that’s just starting to battle."

Ok thank you very much, now i can start training my heracross
:)
By the way if i battle pokemons that dont give attack or speed Ev's or hp but give spattack does my maximum ev capacity downgrade?
For example my heracross is lvl 5 so should i first battle pokemons so i get 6hp/252att/252speed or doesnt it matter?

max out the relevant stats first, otherwise you'll get EVs where you don't want them, and you won't have as much of the important stats.

SwordofAeons

Degeneration X
For the last to try:
Snorlax-Leftovers/Chesto
Careful
Curse
Rest
Return
Shadow Ball

Try a Gardevior
Gardy-Lum
Modest/Timid
Psychic
Calm Mind
Will-O-Wisp/Hypnosis/Ice Punch
THunder Punch/Ice Punch

Ok so we got:
Jolteon

Heracross

Metagross

Jolteon

Regice: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Rest/Psych Up.

Gradevoir
Modest/Timid
Psychic
Calm Mind
Will-O-Wisp/Hypnosis/Ice Punch
Thunder Bolt

What would the atacks of the other pokemon be?

Jolteon twice?

Metagross: Either Meteor Mash, Agility, Explosion, and Rock Slide/Thunderpunch/Earthquake(Earthquake > Explosion if you don't like wasting a moveslot on it, but I personally like it) with Leftovers, or Meteor Mash, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Explosion/Shadow Ball with a Choice Band. I prefer the Agiligross variant personally, as it's difficult to take out once you have an Agility under your belt, but the CBGross kills just about everything that doesn't resist its attacks.

Heracross: Either Brick Break, Megahorn, Swords Dance, and Rock Slide with Leftovers, or Rock Slide, Facade, Megahorn, and Focus Punch/Brick Break with a Choice Band. I like the CB version more, but it's your choice.

Jolteon: Substitute, Thunderbolt, Baton Pass, Wish/Agility. Ideally, Hidden Power Ice/Grass would be in there, but I doubt you'll find that on your Jolteon. Awesome if you do, but don't hold your breath =/

overheat hothead's sets > CB's, imo, mostly because EQ is a must on metagross, not an option.

but if you go for megahorn/brick break/rock slide/swords dance heracross, make it jolly.

I use this on Hera in-game:

Heracross@Lum Berry
Adamant/Jolly
Earthquake
Megahorn
Rock Slide
Brick Break

For Competive uses, use Choice Band

Witht his set, you don't have to worry about which ability is has. Luckily, my Jolly Heracross for Colo has Guts, but I used Facade on my beloved Octillery (The poor thing gets hit by T-wave and Toxic constantly :<)

I liek this fun set for Jolteon:

Jolteon@Lum Berry (Yeah, I use Lum alot >.>; )
Modest/Timid
Thunderbolt
Bite
HP Special
Filler
