Can anyone tell me:
1. how do you take Bonsly back to the little girl? and
2. What do you have to do in order to be able to start the lucky egg quest?

10x a lot for your help!

Bonsly thing:

first of, you need to have seen it on the S.S Libra, after that, it'll appear in the pokespots at random.

if you do spot it, you must move verrrry slowly... just slightly touch the analog stick to make your character move slowly... otherwise Bonsly will be spooked and run away.

once you've approached Bonsly, you'll automatically end up in ONBS and you'll get the Bonsly card for Battle Bingo.

Lucky Egg:

first of, you need to beat the game to get access to Orre Colosseum, you only need to beat the first round. However, this is quite difficult and you'll need perfectly EV trained pokemon to win the round.

once you do that, you'll be able to do the Lucky Egg quest.

Perfectly EV trained Pokémon on a game where everything is trainer battles? Or is XD different to Colosseum in ways I wouldn't expect?

No it is full of trainer Battles but it's really hard to beat the orre colloseum!
I'll suggest that you train your pokes as good as possible on your GBA Versions and than try to get through it. Wish you good luck cause it can be really frustrating when suddenly something comes up that you didn't expected and owns your team with ease. So good luck!
