Which one is better?
What EVs should I give it?
-with merely 340 Speed, its enough to outrun even the fastest Sceptile, Alakazam, Starmie etc as long as they don't have + Nature.
-Jolteon and Electrode will be a problem always, its gonna out run Aery anyway because Aery's Speed isn't 31IV and its not Jolly nature.
-Giving it Defence/Sp. Defence/HP won't do much (imo) and is pointless since its defences suck anyway, (its gonna be a CBer in Frontier)
-I'm giving it 252 ATK EV no matter what you guys say, its the rest that I need help.

Ability: Rock Head (all 3)
Nature: Adamant (all 3)
Moveset: Aerial Ace, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Double Edge
Aerodactyl 1&3 are Male, 2 is Female.

I think that's all you guys need to know about them. Please tell me which one is best to train.

I would say 3. I mean, it's got the attack and speed the same, but its Hp is the highest. It doesn't need Sp.Attack.

Too much speed in my opinion.... EV train it on Attack so it can OHKO almost everything.... speed is nice too, rest goes to HP i guess

Jolly Nature is better. Keep breeding.

Jolteon has the same base speed as Aerodactyl. So that means if you're lucky enough to get a Jolly-natured Aerodactyl with a Speed IV of 31, it can get a speed of 394 with 252 Speed EVs.

thanks. I went with number two, it got 31 IV for attack, I checked. The reason I chose this is because it was male (I made a mistake in my first post, I thought 3 was male or I would have gone with that) I am not sexist, Its just in case I want to breed for a Jolly one, I need a male to pass down: Earthquake and Aerial Ace since I have no more AA and I need my EQ for something else, perhaps a Tauros or something. Although... its pretty stink its got Max IV in SP. Attack, makes me wanna cry, wish it was speed X(

Luck? ROFL. My luck lix. If I had luck, I'd have the knowledge symbol by now. I hate that prick Noland. Anyway, I just breed until it MAKES itself max IV. I bred around 80 eggs for these three. And this was in emerald with the trick with everstone. I'll try get a jolly one after christmas. What really SUCKS about Aerodactyl is the fact that its speed IV, between 20-31 is 20 (jolly) which means you have no way to tell if its max/near max. Like attack is 18 (with + nature) its easy to tell, its either 30; or 31.

Oh, and you DO realise I mean in-game right? Jolly is better in Netbattle, what can outrun this prehistoric beast in-game? (besides Jolteon and Electrode, but they are rare to see anyway, total no. seen in frontier: 0) Sceptile, alakazam and friends can just give up.

The thing is, you would NEVER leave Aero in on Jolteon, and vice versa. 50% chance is never a chance you should take. Which is why some people (mainly Onimusha) who dont put max speed on aero.

not to mention this is ingame, not netbattle so if you dont want to keep breeding, you dont have too.

And I'd go with #2. Thats ofcourse if it has 139 def and not sp attack... Thats sorta hard to read there bud.

I'd say definitely go 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Sp.Atk for your EVs, and adamant nature is better for the Frontier IMO. Your moveset looks good.

main reason for jolly over aerodactyl is one word: jolteon

It was down to my last adamant aerodactyl vs a jolteon in battle arena vs trainer #55 and was ready to do earthquake when jolteon made the first move and OHKO'd my aerodactyl with thunderbolt. Had I had a jolly aerodactyl, I'm sure I'd be facing greta that next round instead of having to go through facing 55 trainers all over again before finally getting the gold vs. greta.

how do you know that Jolteon was Timid? It could have easily been Modest. What IVs are your Aero?

Not really. Like I just said, Aerodactyl and Jolteon have the same base speed.

Timid Jolteon is almost always faster than Adamant Aerodactyl. Assuming both Jolteon and Aerodactyl have Speed IVs of 31, It takes only 124 Speed EVs for a Timid Jolteon to outspeed an Adamant Aerodactyl with 252 Speed EVs.

The only time in which weight is involved is when Low Kick is used.
