;319; worked well for me but you have to train it dark and water type moves

I think you should should use a very strong water type Pokemon (since Lunatone and Solrock are part ground types), or a strong dark type.

I recommend Nuzleaf/Shiftry and Manectric. Why? Because w/ Nuzleaf/Shiftry's Chlorophyll ability, you can go the distance against Tate and Liza... Lunatone and/or Solrock won't be able to do any damage against Shiftry, or at least not make it faint, because of Shiftry's higher Sp. Def., even w/ Solrock's Flamethrower.. However, if you have Emerald, Xatu can haunt you, that's why I mentioned Manectric as a pokemon you can use. The best time to use Manectric is when Solrock and Xatu are out, because if those two pokemon aren't out, and Lunatone/Claydol are out instead, then Earthquake and/or the Hypnosis/Calm Mind/Psychic combo will probably make Manectric faint... If that's the case, take Claydol down w/ Shiftry before it even gets the chance to use EQ...

A Blaziken could destroy your chances of winning being a fighting-type and the gym leader's pokemon are psychic's. A dark-type is sure to give you the edge you need to win. Also a pokemon with surf will help you. FYI you have two threads about the same thing...>>

Use a Sharpedo to help you out. It's dark type moves will help you and so will it's water ype moves. Use grass types and ghost types to give you a boost. Might I suggest a Shiftry and Banette/Dusclops?

That's My Rule!!!
Level 45 Manectric and Wailord. Use Wailord to finish off Claydol, and Manectric to finish off Xatu. Make Wailord surf again once Solrock comes out. Solrock dies, go Lunatone. Make Wailord surf again, and use Manectric to bring down Lunatone if ever it still has some HP left.

As many other people have posted, Sharpedo is one of the best pokemon to go against Tate and Liza with. Blaziken can also be useful if you raise it to high levels. I've always beaten Tate and Liza with my Blaziken. It was about 15 levels higher than their pokemon though.

The Pokemon I used were Swellow and Sealeo. I used Swellow by: Swellow has a move it can LEARN by TM and it is called Steel Wing, I used It against Lunatone. Then I used Sealeo's Ice Ball against Solrock. If you were using Emerald then I suggest Swellow and Sealeo and Manectric. I used Swellow like in my other description and then I used Sealeo's Ice Ball like in my earlier descreption. I will suggest Manectric because if it know Thunder then you will be good for Xatu! Then as well for Claydol I combined the attacks of my Swellow's and my Sealeo's attcks and I thik that is it. That is how I beat them! Oh and Really like everybody else don't use Blaziken!

I beat them always with my Blaziken and Absol. I think they;re hard but if you are a good trainer no-one can stop you.

Dark, Water and Ice types are the best for them.

the best pokemon to use is a grass type and a dark type psychic attacks
will not effect a dark pokemon and grass are super effective against lunatone
and solrock/claydol

Definately don't use Blaziken, since the Claydol and Solrock are ground and psychic types, I fought with Blaziken first, and it took me forever to beat them.
I would recommened a Water type, Dark type, Ghost type, or Flying type to avoid the annoying as hell Earthquake -_-.

You could try a Ludicolo/Dusclops combination. Surf and Giga Drain from the Ludicolo would be good against the rock and ground types that their whole team has, and the Dusclops would provide excellent Ghost-type damage, and you can alternatively have either use ice beam on the Claydol and Xatu against their ground and flying aspects. Pressure is kinda fun to have too, and maybe one or both of confuse ray and toxic. Pfft, you could even find a way to give the Ludicolo Thunderpunch and swing that Xatu's way.
