Unfortunately, those kinds of petitions hardly work. In addition, we have already been suggesting letters for some time at:
http://www.serebii.net/dub.shtml

Whether it will work or not remains to be seen, but chances are more personal letters like those will be much more effective than simply signing an internet petition in which your odds of getting to work are one to a million.
