;058; Hey everybody.

I'm brand new in this world of Pokemons, so I hope You'll help me on some basic things.

I lookede at the pokedex on this site, and I find it very good and helpfull.
I have a Graveler, and to upgrade him I have to "trade" -what does that mean (I know what the word trade means, but here I am a bit confused.)

On some pokemons the pokedex say that it needs love to evolve -how do I do that?

I have LG, and I havent come far yet -It is my first try on Pokemon games, and I find it quite fun. And i hope that you wil take some ime to help me out so I kan enjoy all of thsis fantastic world.

Thank U.

hello hello eva :)

I have been studying and playing pokemon since it came out :p

by trade they mean that u need a friend who play pokemon colluseum, LG/FR/R/S/E/XD and trade the pokemon with him/her and then trade it back

by evolve the mean:

evolve by level i.e. bulbasaur to 16

evolve by stone i.e. use moon stone on nidorina and it will become nidoqueen

Yeah, if you want your Graveller to evolve into Golem you have to find someone else who has another Pokemon game on the Gameboy Advance (meaning only Leaf Green, Fire Red, Sapphire, and Ruby) and trade with them either with a link cable or using the wireless adapter.

As for the hapiness, you have to use the pokemon a lot, not let it faint, give it plenty of items (the sooth bell helps a lot), and also walk around with it. But do take note, unless you have the National Pokedex your pokemon will no evolve by happiness until you get it.

Have fun.

Hmmm.. I thought they ment something like that by trade. Pretty bad -I dont know anyone who play these games, and I dont have an adapter...

They're pretty smart.. Making good money on that.. but.. I'll just have to try to find my way without it.

Thanks to you all for answering so fast. It will not be the last time I use this forum.

Thanks again. -nd sorry for my lousy english *LOL*

Oh.. by the way.

If I should buy another game -to trade etc -which game would you recommend?

I personally like Emerald a lot. It has lots of nice features such as the Battle Frontier. You can also get a lot of new Pokémon that way.

Awaiting October.
an easy way to maek the pokemon happy all you have to do is give it alot of proteins, calciums and them sort of items it will make it happy and then level it up one and their is your newly evolved pokemon.

Welcome.

Trade means that you must have two GBA's and two Pokemon Games, they need to be able to trade to each other though. You can do it with Game Cube, Colosseum or XD too. IF you don't have two games, gba's or whatever, you can't get Golem.

Some pokemons evolve with love, like Chansey or Cleffa, you need to train them good, not let them faint when in battle, give them good items, not bitter items such as Energy Root.
The best way is to give your pokemons Protein, Carbos, Calcium, Zinc, Iron and HP Up. Give some of them to the pokemon you love and it gets happy.

Hope I helped.

To trade, you must have a alternate gameboy with a alternate cartridge, and have a link cable, connect them and go to the trade center on the pokemon center. And happiness is soemthing you get from battleing your pokemon and feeding it viamins/.

First of all, congrats for trying something new, and unfortunately, no, you can not use a ds to trade. The good news is that gba are pretty cheap nowadays, especially the old non sp models. It wont cost too much to get an old sp and used pokemon game. <PM me if you need any additional help>

when a pokemon evolve with trade, that means that you have an other gameboy with a pokemon game, and trade it to the other game. You can trade ypur pokemon in the second floor of the pokemon center, when the trade is complete, your pokemon will evolve.
And when it says that your pokemon evolve with happiness, that means that you have to train your pokemon until it evolves in a certain level.

You have a DS? Well, I dunno if it works this way with the DS pokemon games, but maybe if you get one of them (Diamond or Pearl), go through them until you can actually trade with the GBA games, then you could actually get them to evolve like that. Of course, you'll have to wait until those games actually come out first.

I dunno if it's possible. It just sounds feasible though.
