Help with daycare

I have Adamant Magikarp lv5
Im to lazy to ev train it with an Exp. share...
So if im letting him there till lv 19 did he gained ev's??
So did i messed hes ev's up if im getting him back..
so i cant evtrain him anymore..?

they wont evolve in daycare but will try to evolve at every level after they reach the level they usually evolve at eg. you put a charmander in daycare and keep it in there untill Lv.22 it will still be a charmander. raise it one level and it will evolve normally. same should work for any pokemon that doesnt require a special evoloution.

any way, imo gyarados is not a strong pokemon.

No, he won't get EV's because EV's only come through Battling, so your safe there, So yes you can EV Train that Magikarp, It'll just be a bit behind.
 
No EV's for daycare pokemon. =O
You need to defeat pokemon for EV's and since the daycare pokemon don't gain EXP. by battling, you get none.
