Help with Ipod Video

Hey,
I'm trying to get videos on my Ipod Video,but it wont go on the library. The files are MPEGs but if these arent compatible with the Ipod then is there a program for me to convert it to something compatible?

Use a program called Videora iPod Converter. It will convert your AVIs and mpgs into mp4 files (ipod compatible video)

One other question,what file should I convert it too? It has diffrent ones.
