ei there...after several days of breeding for a good slugma, i know have one with these as the starting stats:

Slugma - lvl 5 - Serious
HP: 20
At: 10
Df: 10
SA: 12
SD: 9
Sp: 8

So...Can anyone help me on the movesets, ev's and stuff?

Well, the srious nature does not affect slugmas stats at all.
A level 5 serious Slugma with max IVs and 252 EVs in each stat has
HP 23
Attack 13
Defense 13
Special Attack 16
Special Defense 13
Speed 11

A level 5 serious Slugma with minimum IVs and no EVs has these stats.

HP 19
Attack 9
Defense 9
Special Attack 12
Special Defense 9
Speed 7

Your Slugma appears to have minimun Special stats that it is possible to get at that level.

This gives you some options.
You can
1)EV train it in special stats so that it can be more balanced.
2)Or base it around physical stats.

Slugma and magcargo both have a higher special attack than attack so you may want to use special attack on it.

If you are planning to evolve it to Magcargo, Acid Armor and Amnesia are good at giving you a chance of surving an Earthquake or a Surf. Magcargo has a VERY high Defense so it may be able to survive an Earthquake anyway.

imo Torkaol is a better option than Magcargo because it gets Curse, it has higher stats, it has a better ability, and it does not have any 4x weaknesses.

My favorite Magcargo moveset is
Acid Armor (For raising you already high defense)
Toxic (For draining away HP while you build up defense)
Flamethrower (To end the battle quickly or to defeat the opponent when you think your defense is high enough. It also gets STAB and it is Magcargo's main attacking move. It will be in most movesets that people give you)
Reflect (For the same reason as Acid Armor. You can also reflect then switch out to another Pokemon who could do with extra defense for 3-4 turns.)

Obviously, this moveset only really work with leftovers. If you have a bold nature, then this moveset will work best.
This moveset is based on building up defense. So if a Pokemon that may know surf comes out, switch to a Lanturn or something.

Some people will give you movesets like
Sunny day
Light Screen
Amnesia
Flamethrower
This agains works best with leftovers, but it is used mainly for being able to survive Surfs. Sunny day, Light screen and 3 Amnesia make Magcargo only take a 16th of the damage it would have done without any aid.

Magcargo also makes a good annoyer with a moveset like
Swagger (It can cause the opponent to damage itself a lot. Magcargo can survive the opponents augmented attack stat because of its good defense)
Attract (This is obvious...)
Body Slam (For paralysis and for Ninetales, etc.)
Flamethrower (It is Magcargo's main special attacking move)

I just though I would mention that Acid armor is available through breeding. Try getting a L.34 male Grimer with Acid Armor with a female Slugma or Magcargo.

For EVs you should try:
252 defense
129 HP
129 Special Defense

For Magcargo, base it around defense and have Flamethrower.

Try toxic or sludge bomb with a good attack and an annoying move then a pretty normal attack HP and Defense are good stats to raise

...okay, I did a bit more breeding and i was able to get better stats
but the nature's still the same:

Slugma - lvl5 - Serious
HP: 20
AT: 10
DF: 10
SA: 12
SD: 10
SP: 8

I raised it 11 more levels (to lvl 16) and calculated the IV's. I got the ff:

HP: 29
AT: 29
DF: 29
SA: 20
SD: 29
SP: 20

much better isnt it? anyway, do u think it would do good to increase its speed?

Don't put any EVs in speed.Slugma is so slow, that even with speed EVs it still can't outrun many things.Don't bother with speed, give the EVs to special attack,200 to special defense.
You can give it
@leftovers
Yawn
Fire blast/flamethower
protect
light screen/rock slide.
Yawn + Protect might surprise someone, or if you have good prediction you can Yawn things on the switch and Protect when your oppenent is going to attack, then switch to maybe set up another Pokemon.

Overrall,I don't like Sluma very much.It is too slow, and gets killed easily by water or ground.

Cool i love Slugma is one of my fav fire types and i have trained one on my team in colloseum and Sliver.

I would say the following moves...

Rock Slide- since its evo Magcargo is a rock type and it will give u an advatage over flying pokemon.

Flamethrower - as your main fire move with its average hp and great accuracy.

Overheat - as your POWER fire move. Using it in big battles and against stronger or hiogher defence pokemon. (beaware that it lowers sp attcak sharly) but if used at the right time it can be worth it. (if u don't wanna risk the state drain use Fire Blast as the cost of accuarcy).

Yawn, attract or earthquake- Yawn is gd as u can use it 2 put water types asleep leaving u time 2 give them some damage no matter how small. Attract is also good at this aswell.and may work even better than yawn. from exsperience i can say it is worth using as i have used it 2 defeat an garydose followed by an alakazam with my type disadvantaged Nidoqueen in Garys leaf green elite 4 team. Earthquake if u rather have it a powerhouse. Uasing it 2 take out them ground/rock or figthing types that may b a problem.

I just figured out that my Slugma's Hidden power would be Water: power 30.
lol. ^_^

Kinda sucks though...

No, it doesn't really 'suck'. HP[Water], might surprise a lot of people. Plus, as a Slugma, being weak to both Rack- and Ground-types, HP[Water] would be spectacular. So, it depends what you want. But yes, it's quite weak, lol.

New Question: How EXACTLY do you place "Heat Wave" on a Slugma? I just recently found out that it was one of Slugma's Egg moves...
