Helpful Purification Circles

I searched, and hadn't found anything, so...

Can any of you give helpful tips on, in the Purification Chamber at the lab, what are the best combonations of Pokemon to use in order to get full power? As you can guess, I'm trying to purify Shadow Lugia, and I have about two or three more slots to fill up with full power. Do any of you have some good combonations?

I heard about having it go hoppip>hoppip>hoppip>hoppip, since the flying type is super effective against the grass type and hoppips are flying/grass types.
