Helping hand effect doubt....

What is the effect Helping Hand does exactly?


Does it only boost ATTACK status based moves
(I.E. Earthquake, Rock Slide etc.) or both ATTACK and SP. ATTACK?
Or what does it do? I need to know to check if it is a good option of a Flareon, in an attempt to make it a sweeper/ supporter pokemon...

it multiplies the power of the move your partner uses that turn by 1.5, no matter whether it's a physical or special attack.

It works on both special and physical moves, multiplying them by 1.5 for the turn. IMHO Helping Hand isn't a good move at all.

for in-game play, i agree, but it's saved my butt a few times in xd. but yes, i wouldn't suggest teaching it to Flareon unless you plan on competing in alot of double battles.

The best Helping hand Pokémon are Latias, Umbreon, Miltank and Dusclops.

It acts like a STAB for the recipient Pokémon.

Helping hand is a great move for competitive battles, example:

Return+STAB+Helping hand+Choice band+Slaking= It´s so outrageous that I can´t explain!

Or:

Explosion+Helping hand+Choice band+Metagross= ³

Yeah, Helping hand has it's moments, but theres better things you could be doing in 2v2.

it's not that predictable. a lot of people forget that helping hand is the XD move for duskull, so they don't expect it.
