Here's an intresting theory of mine...

I'm thinking Shini is working for Team Galxy and is there to keep a watch on Ash and maybe have Shinji try to get Ash to join Team Galxy in the end. That would explain why Shinji seems to be following Ash pretty much. He could have a tacking device and he could be saving Ash becuase he's trying to get Ash to join. The battles could also be stregnthen Ash any ways what do you all think about my possible theory?

And I respect your opinion and why don't you think they'd come with an idea like that? Cyb also felt they wouldn't have Hikari enter in Pokemon Contests and look what happend. Like I said before I respect your opinion ^_^

*shrugs* I dunno, it just doesn't seem like something that would come from Pokemon. They usually flesh out the characters and show their true intentions or whatnot within the first episode they're introduced. Of course, there have been exceptions, but still. Pokemon episodes generally stand on their own, and it just seems improbable to me that they'd have some underlying conspiracy that spans a storyarc or so.

Though I do believe that there's more to Shinji than has been revealed (such as what made him believe Pokemon should be treated in such a way), I don't think it's something so major.

Well Shinji could be hiding stuff, I mean he seems to be following Ash around and wanting to battle him...It would explain why..

I dont think so Shinji is more likely against TG. It seems likely he has a relation to the lake and wouldnt want to destroy the lake. He also appears to be a good guy just mean and rude.

I honestly don't think he's a newbie trainer, no newbie could catch a Pokemon the way he did in today's episode. Ask for a possible grudge agaianst Team Galxy that could be possible too.
