Now that you've been following Keldeo's path for a few days you find that you're nearing the portal to Camp Half-Blood. A small voice informs you of this, and you prepare yourself. You're about to head off on the journey of your life, and nothing will be like anything you've experienced.

All first posts must include reaching the portal and at least arriving at camp. You can get a tour, but you cannot go into the mansions yet. There'll be a meeting thing after everyone has arrived where I'll have everyone go to see where they'll be sleeping. Also, please include this at the top of your post:

Sora - Celestic Town ;467;

Sora walked out of the Pokémon Center and around to the outskirts of town. It was still early in the morning, with not many people awake yet. Despite the sky being still pale without the sun fully in the air, Sora could still see the path Keldeo had in the air. The blue was very distinguishable no matter what time of the day it was. As Sora approached the route connecting Celestic to Solaceon he could see the path disappear into the dense fog.

Without looking back he walked straight into the fog-covered area.

The fog seemed to envelop him and block out anything that wasn't a foot ahead of him. Even when he looked back where he came he couldn't see anything. As a precaution he reached into his pocket and released Magmortar to stay by him. Unfortunately the flames on the Pokémon's body didn't give off enough light to pierce through any of the fog.

The two walked for a good ten minutes without finding anything of interest. Sora knew there was a waterfall and a few rivers in the route, and knowing that made him more worried that he would fall into one if he wasn't able to see anything soon. Just as he thought all hope was lost, there was a snap of a twig and a shadow could be seen walking towards them.

"Hey!" Sora called. "Could you help us?"

Magmortar grunted when they got closer, but Sora ignored him. The figure finally got close enough that Sora could see the person clearly, and he wished that he hadn't.

The person's skin was extremely pale white, with no color at all. Two dark, tired-looking eyes remained emotionless on the man's face. He swayed slightly as he walked, almost like a zombie. The dark matted hair on top of his head made him look almost zombie-ish.

"Oh, sorr-" Sora began, but the person opened their mouth and let out a long, hollow wail. The ground shook a little until the person stopped and closed their mouth. There was a a noise that sounded like a whisper, and soon there were black, shadowy clouds of smoke swirling around. First they moved slowly, and then they burst all around and through the fog.

Two of them swooped at Sora, and Magmortar quickly responded. He shot a large flamethrower that destroyed one, but the other was able to dodge and continue to Sora. He would've been hit by the thing but a thin, silver arrow pierced the cloud and made it dissolve with a whooshing sound. Sora looked around and saw a man - wait no, half a man, with the other half... Tauros? - running towards them. He fired a few more arrows, which then dissolved a few more dark clouds.

The zombie thing made a clicking noise with his mouth, and the four remaining clouds retreated and remained lingering in the air. The half-man, half-thing stopped at Sora's side and huffed.

"You shouldn't have come into here alone, demigod." The half-man glared forwards. "That's Talus, and he's extremely dangerous."

"Tal- huh?"

"Talus. He's a monster created by Darkrai."

"But he's just a human..."

Or so Sora thought. As he stared at Talus longer he saw the monsters image flicker, slowly coming in and out of view.

"He used to be a human. He went around at night and would praise Darkrai by burning the shrines to the other Gods. Meloetta personally attacked him and took away his voice; she would've killed him too, but Darkrai was able to protect him and give him some of his powers."

Before the man could continue, Talus groaned and the clouds whirred around until they formed what looked like large, cloudy Machop. Two red eyes appeared on each one and they all roared.

"Get ready!"

Sora desperately looked around as soon as the four creatures ran towards them all. Marmortar started shooting multitudes of flames from its mouth while the man launched a lot more arrows. Two of the dark clouds disappeared, but the other two were able to defend themselves and continued charging. Both Magmortar and the man ran forwards, as if they knew what each other were thinking.

"Go into the waterfall!" the man shouted. He didn't even look back to make sure Sora heard.

What waterfall? Sora thought desperately. He looked around but saw nothing, unfortunately. Then, through the cries and sounds of battle, he heard the faint crashing of the water. He saw Talus grinning from ear to ear, and soon realized why - behind Talus was where the noise was coming from.

"Just go!" the man yelled, seeming to read Sora's mind. "Don't worry about us, we'll make it!"

Sora pondered the thought of not moving, but realized that would get him no where, both literally and figuratively. Without second-guessing himself he dashed like a madman to where he assumed the water fall was. Talus's grin became wider - if that was possible - and he moved to block Sora's way with incredible speed.

As Sora got closer he started trying to think of a way around the monster. Every small change in direction he seemed to make was followed by Talus moving that way too. The monster opened his mouth, which Sora assumed was to summon more of the cloud things.

He wasn't sure if he'd shouted "NO!" out loud or in his head, but either way the result was the same - his hands instantly got hot and a large ball of fire shot from each of them, at Talus. One hit him, causing him to make a choking sound while the other hit the ground in front of him and made it catch fire. With the monster distracted, Sora sprinted for his life to the waterfall, which he could now see. It was maybe twenty feet away... fifteen feet... ten...

And then Sora saw it, jumped, and blacked out.

***

There you go~ After I post this I will be adding a Sign-Up for monsters in the SU thread. Please post there with any ideas you have so that we can get an array of enemies to battle >3 I'll post Talus's SU asap. Also, no one else is allowed to be attacked by any monster in their first post, including Talus. This was just my example of how a battle could take place. You guys can however be attacked by the cloud things (known as "Krides") which are the basic monsters of Darkrai. You can also have a satyr arrive and assist you if you'd like.

Happy rp-ing. :)

Alice Albright - Resort Desert Entrance
Ani628MS.png

A new day started to rise as the bright moon fell to sleep as it went down to the other side of the earth. Okay, a new day, thought Alice Albright, Yesterday is behind me. Today is going to be a great new day. She was trying to convince herself, with no luck. Alice looked around, quickly got out of her night-black sleeping bag and rolled it up. Feeling a little vulnerable in only her white T-Shirt and panties, she threw on her pink skinny jeans and hoodie sweatshirt.

She looked to the north from her camping spot that night, she could see the glow of Raimon City in the morning dawn, and in south she could see the tall buildings of Hiun City. And to the east, she could see the desert, with an odd outline of something dark… it gave Alice a case of the jitters. It had a dark vibe. Alice quickly looked to the sky, she noticed a feint blue… road? It looked like a highway in the air, shooting straight for the eerie outline.
Alice continued to stare at it, it seemed to be calling to Alice. “Follow the Road, follow the mist.” It was hard for Alice to disobey, it was like she was being forced to do it. She wanted to follow the misty road. Then she had an idea.

“Wargle, come on out!” she shouted as she clicked the little red and white orb that was on her belt. The moment that she did, a giant bird came flying out, you barley could see it, it looked like a giant red blob with white dots on it, after gliding in the air for a minute, it came back to Alice. “Hey buddy, nice to see you,” Alice told the bird, it actually made her smile. After she quickly massaged the eagles beak, she was midair heading for the eerie building.

When the building was good enough to see, Alice recognized it as a Castle, it gave off a sinister vibe. “Wargle, land in front of the building, please!”
The bird gave off a little “hoot” of satisfaction, and started to glide to do as its master wished, it was onl about a hundred yards away from the steps of the evil castle when suddenly a two black waves of what looked like smoke waved past Wargle.

Not long after that, it made a horrible squealing sound, and before Alice knew it, she and Wargle were flying. Alice looked to the left, Wargle was trying to keep gliding, he looked to the right, the wing was bent down, clearly broken. Blood was falling.

Alice closed her eyes, afraid of what was going to happen. Before she knew it, she was crashing into the ground. She blacked out.

Alice flung into the castle, shooting straight through the doors and onto a ledge. She looked over the ledge, and what she saw surprised her. Below the ledge, was a pit of what looked like sand. Alice looked the other way, the two black figures were starting to form.

“Go into the pit!” a voice yelled, it was a male, clearly annoyed. “Kid, just do it or I’ll push you into it.”

The voice annoyed Alice, a hell of a lot. “I’M NOT LEAVING WARGLE” she managed to scream.

Alice started to see the man… or what she thought was a man, the “man” was a man, but with the legs and behind of a Torous.

The Touros man screamed, “WARGLE, PLEASE, I GIVE THE STYRES BLESSING.” As two arrows suddenly burst through the dark beings, making them turn into dust. But that was all she saw, before she knew it her back-pack was being scooped up by her own Wargle, and she was being dropped into the sandpit, Wargle right behind her.

Alice blacked out.

Iris Boudreaux- Mt. Coronet 1F ;478;

The girl shuffled in the alcove and eventually found her shaky way to her feet. Finding shelter this effective was certainly a blessing- and the rest of her journey from Snowpoint had been quite fortunate as well. No attacks, she had boundless energy, found suitable food and wood for fire, and had slept quickly and deeply. Iris felt grateful for this, as she knew many other travellers would have frozen to death. She just supposed it was the adaptations of Snowpoint. Nothing else.

She got ready quickly, and slipped out of the cavern in which she had spent the night, looking back wistfully for a moment before hiking out into the morning sunlight. She had slept in- the dew had evaporated and the sky was a bright blue. Almost the perfect day. The trail of a more shimmery, sparkly blue was also in the sky, highlighted by the sun. She had been following it for thirteen hours the day before, and had only slept not because she was exhausted, but because she felt that she would need the energy tomorrow. And today was tomorrow! She moved quickly through the grasses, keeping to the shadows as the ancient architecture of Celestic Town came into view.

As was normal for Iris, she explored. The trail was hardly urgent and she had no desperate need to follow it right now. The urge to experience the new place, with all the foreign sights and smells, was overpowering. She slinked around, testing out foods and purchasing odds and ends, sampling the culture. It was blissful, if not perhaps completely enthralling.

Eventually, it was the evening. The sun had sank down behind the trees, and Iris knew that it was time for her to move on. She would have been happy, but the urge for the journey that the trail was offering was once again invading her systems. She could taste it. Her path was blocked by a suspicious old lady as she made for the market's exit.

"Is there some sort of party on or something? I saw another boy, just like you, your age, wandering off onto yonder Route! So bright and early in the morning the Starly were barely up yet! I was darning my socks when I saw him!" the old woman shook her fist and Iris was struck with a mental image of Celestic Town a hundred years ago- did anyone say yonder nowadays? Honestly?

"Just the one, ma'am?" asked Iris, with a sly smile. It was obvious what this old lady was trying to insinuate, but perhaps her logic needed work, "There are many people my age who enjoy exploration. You have simply encountered a coincidence. After all, a party is comprised of more than two people, correct?"

The old lady narrowed her eyes, "You have a smart mouth, girl. You had better make sure you don't get yourself into trouble with that silver tongue of yours. Perhaps somebody a great deal more older and sensible than you will cut it off! Kyahahahaha. Er-herm."

Iris smiled and tried to evade her, but the old lady was too quick and charged into her path once again. "Your eyes are certainly impressive, girl. Why do you hide them beneath those glasses?"

"Because I need to see, perhaps? Stand aside, please. It was very nice to meet you, but I really must be going." Miserable hag. Iris was quick to run off at this. Why were people so interested in her eyes? She had always worn glasses. Dad had them custom-made. Apparently she needed a certain type of glass, even if the optician never said anything of the sort, and she was always told only to take them off if she shut her eyes right away. Something to do with some sort of condition her mother had, and to always be careful in case it surfaced, and so to wear the same pair as her mother did. One of the few facts she had heard about her mother. She had eye problems and had something to do with Lake Acuity, which was why she was never allowed nearby, was smart, funny and a good debater, and was unbelievably beautiful in a modest way.

Why was she thinking of her lost mother? Eyes. How idiotic.

She walked carefully out, and was aware of the dense fog surrounding her slowly closing in. The atmosphere here was unbelievably creepy, even as the water crashed in in the background from some sort of waterfall. Other than that, all was silent. Still as a corpse and quiet as the grave. Lovely death analogies for the girl named after flowers laid on said graves. She shuddered- the cold wasn't what was causing it, but the feeling that a being of true evil was close, had been here, and that something terrible had happened.

Despite herself, she found herself standing on the edge of the water. And it was beckoning. The waterfall was beckoning. The trail was high in the sky, gleaming like jewels. Was this what the trail was? Leading to her suicide? Flinging herself into the water, and to be claimed by the depths? Was that the reason for all these thoughts of death and despair? Ha. If that was what fate was offering to her, then the trail wouldn't be going inside the waterfall. Perhaps...

"Froslass, please," she flung the red-and-white orb at her waist out to beside her, revealing her trusted icy companion. Immediately, the air around felt a lot colder, but Iris didn't care. She immediately raised her hand, "Let's have some stairs and a bridge, shall we? Ice Beam."

A light blue ball formed in front of Froslass's face. She then fired light blue beams from the ball at the water of the river, freezing it into a beautiful crystalline structure, almost hypnotic in elegance and style. Froslass bowed and returned to the Pokéball even as Iris walked slowly down the iced staircase and down the pathway. The waterfall was beating down, and Iris could feel the spray of water on her cheeks. And the noise. Oh, the noise.

Perhaps a more dramatic entrance was appropriate? Iris felt a need for it. She walked back down the pathway a while, and was shocked to see her bridge melting behind her into the water. There was to be no delay. She ran, and jumped at the last minute into the waterfall, feeling the water battering down on her.

And then there was silence.

OOC: Sorry, no combat here. Or drama. Just her. What do you mean foreshadowing about possible powers I see nothing and certainly nothing to do with seeing Uxie's eyes erasing your memories. Hey, other people get fireballs.

Franco Asalto - Resort Desert ;523;
The desert expanded on, it went on forever... but no longer.

Franco Asalto gazed out towards the castle-like structure he could see ahead, shielding his eyes against the sun with one hand. Beside him, his noble Zeburaika gave a snort, pawing the sand.

"There it is," Franco said after a slight pause, gazing up at Keldeo's blue path to verify this. "The path leads there." He stepped forwards, turning his gaze towards the castle again. "Let's go... I want to see what's there..."

-

The two moved on across the shifting sands, sun beaming down on them as they trudged on resolutely, determined to reach the castle.

They drew near, and Franco took in the impressive structure, its enormity surprising him slightly, but he remained calm outwardly, walking onwards towards it.

Then Zeburaika gave a warning cry, and he ducked aside as a shadowy scythe ripped across where he had been an instant before, then a flash of lightning painted the air beside him and the Kride was instantly torn apart by the light and force.

Then more rose from the sands, stalking closer in a variety of forms, some Pokemon, some not, but all looking very evil and menacing. Zeburaika leapt forwards, power crackling across his form, and then bolts of lightning lanced from his body, spearing more of the shadow monsters and blasting them apart.

As more Krides advanced, electrical charge crackled around Zeburaika and he charged, tearing across the creatures in a flash of force as Franco tailed him, sprinting desperately after his friend as wisps of shadow struck the sand on all sides from where the Pokemon's attacks had torn down the Krides.

They burst into the castle, only to be met with a girl and a Wargle falling into a pit of sand down below, and a half-man half-Tauros wielding a bow and arrow staring down more of the shadow monsters.

Thunder boomed as lightning burst down, Zeburaika unleashing power and fury into the ranks of Krides, annihilating them in arcs of light.

The half-man-half-Tauros looked up to see them. "Get in the pit!"

"What?" Franco answered after a second's consideration.

"I don't have time! Get in the pit!" He loosed three arrows, impaling more Krides and sending them crashing to the earth. "Go!"

Flashes of lightning joined the arrows, ripping the air and obliterating more Krides from existence. But still more came.

"Go!"

"Zeburaika!" Franco called. "Let's do what he says." The zebra-like Electric-Type gave a neigh of sorts, before twisting and charging, running beside him, and they leapt into the pit...

Then the world went black...

Romulus ‘Rome’ Caesar’- SS Marina on Sea Route 40 ;059;

The sun was rising over the open ocean, and most were still retired in their room on the boat because it was so early. On the deck was a young man named Romulus Caesar with long dirty blonde hair braided down his back and next to him was a large orange, black and white pokemon known as Arcanine. The young teen with a feminine appearance stared out into the rolling waves; his hazel eyes almost match the color of the water. There was calm, relaxing air about him as he so quietly looked out. His occasionally would look up at the sky as it followed a blue streak in it that was seemingly nonexistent to everyone else. After quite a while on the ship began to change course slightly as they entered the Whirl Islands area, the last thing they wanted was to be suck up into a whirlpool. The streak, even as the boat turned, still pointed in that direction.

“You’re almost there” A voice whispered in Rome’s head, “Keep heading straight.” The teen nodded then suddenly removed his running shoes and socks. Forcefully stuffing the objects into his bag wrapped around his waist, he did something that got the few people who were woke attention. Even the pokemon with him looked absolutely shocked at what he was doing. He stepped over the bar holding on to it he looked down at the water.

“Hey kid, are you crazy?! You’re going to fall off the boat!!!” One the men of the boat shouted out at him, his blood was definitely pumping seeing something a normal person wouldn’t do.

“This is my stop,” the teen replied so tranquil. “I hope you have a nice day.” After that line he let himself drop. He dove into the water staying under for a moment before surfacing. Looking back at the ship he could see the eyes of people and the fire pokemon. He in all honest hated leaving the pokemon like this but something told him that it was better he didn’t come. Rome didn’t even want to bring him along but the Arcanine had hunted him down and followed him this far. The pokemon had a round-trip ticket attached to his collar so if nothing else it would be able to get back to the mainland hopefully. As the teen started to swim off to the Whirl Islands a loud splash arose behind him; he turned see the dog pokemon with a pained expression struggling to stay on top of the water. It winced in pain and quiet whimpers came out but his eyes locked onto Rome in it struggle. The pokemon simply refused to leave the teenager without a fight. “Ash…! Returned.”

After the pokemon did such a reckless action the boy began searching for the pokemon’s pokeball. He luckily found it quite quickly. The long-haired boy sighed it look like the pokemon was coming whether he like it or not. Storing the ball safety in his bag he continued swimming. Luckily for him the waves were working with him instead of against him though the occasion splash to his face would make his eyes sting. Swimming in the ocean was different than a lake but Rome manage quite well without exhausting himself.

He could physically see the islands, when suddenly something snagged his leg and forced him downwards. As he kicked his legs wildly trying to get free he opened his eyes as he tried to see what caught on to him. It was a strange dark cloud fish thing... a new pokemon? As he tried to get it to release him, but it clench tighter as the still pulled him deeper. At the limit of holding his breath after being surprised, something struck it and it disappeared. He didn’t seen exactly what it was because as soon as he was released he began swiftly swimming back up for the air. Thankfully he made to the water surface and with a big gasp returned the air to his lungs; his deep breathing lasted quite awhile afterwards as he bobbled in the rocking water.

“Hurry, go into the whirlpool. Do not worry demigod, the Spirit of the Sea will guide you,” a female voice screamed out to him. The sixteen year old looked to where it came from but whoever had dove back into the water before he could really see anything but a flash of blue. Even though the voice told him to go towards a whirlpool he wasn’t going question it: he had already followed a blue streak in the sky, listen to voices tell him to where to go, was nearly drowned by some strange creature and saved by another strange lady; so it only seemed right to follow the instructions to the end. He thanked the one that save him then began to swim as fast as he could.

The saltwater splash of high and sparkled in the sun and getting a close distance of the actual whirlpool the power of it pulled him in; he remember to take a deep breath. Everything was a blur, so he closed his eyes and let the water whip him around. It wasn’t as long as he thought as he felt the chilling breeze hit his face and his feet touch mushy ground. There was no sign of how Rome had even gotten there. A short trek to the shore but before exiting the water completely he turned back to the ocean’s water.

“Thanks for your guidance Spirit of the Sea,” he politely thanked it even if he didn’t directly meet it. He bowed with respect before stepping on the wet sand on the beach. It was interesting feeling on his bare feet, different than the mud and grass at the edge of lakes. There was a cliff surrounding the sandy area of the beach and in the distance there appeared to be a docking area. Shaking his head making water fling off his hair, he was completely drenched but that didn’t bother him even with the chilling breeze; he began walking down the shoreline toward the building at the water’s edge.

Ka-Ra-Tay!
Steven Stelle – Route 127 ;321;

There is an hour of the morning when the sun has not yet peaked over the ground, when the clouds are purples and reds, and oranges. It is a time when the air is still, when no bird Pokémon flock through the skies, when everything is at peace.

Sadly, however, Steven woke up much later, when the sun lit up brightly in the morning sky, and the air was nothing but a chorus of cawing Wingulls and Pelippers looking for a tasty treat. The light stung his eyes, the caws were deafening. In the brief second that he awoke, he let out an inhuman groan, shielding his eyes against the sun. Morning, the worst time of the day.

With a grunt, he pulled himself up into a sitting position, rubbing his eyes, and leaned on the giant’s back. What a night it had been! Nothing but the constant sound of the sea and the cawing of some nocturnal creatures. He was lucky no Sharpedo had come to see his Wailord as a tasty snake. Wailord was powerful, yes, but frightfully slow, especially during the nighttime hours. Standing up, he stretched and looked around, examining the scenery.

Suddenly, he felt a tremor rush through his vessel as Wailord let out a loud moan. Unphased, he quickly adjusted his balance – he had learned too many times what falling off of a two-story building into the ocean felt like – and walked over to the Pokémon’s head, being careful to avoid the blowholes. A gush of water blew out of Wailord’s nose, covering Steven with a shower of sea water.

“You’re awake.” He said, ignoring his drenched clothes. Wailord looked up and grew a sheepish smile in apology. Steven flashed a thin smile before adding, “How far do we have left to go?” The Pokémon looked around, licked the sea water, watched the bird Pokémon, and, finally, let out a lost moan. With a sigh, Steven looked up into the clouds. The blue trail was still there, still being followed. How had his Wailord managed to follow it while asleep? Truthfully, he didn’t want to know the answer. He walked back to the middle of the whale, ready to fall back asleep…

“Hey!” A voice broke Steven out of his thoughts. Spinning around, Steven met the speaker… and the strangest sight of his life. A man, paddling through shark infested waters… with a canoe. Better yet, it was a man with Tauros hooves instead of feet and a lower torso like that of a goat. Perhaps the goatman noticed his dismay, for, with a smile, he stood up in the boat and waved a white cloth in the air.

“Ahoy, matie!” The goatman shouted with glee, “Mind if I board yer vessel?”

Steven raised an eyebrow. Honestly, did this… whatever-it-was expect him to let him ride his Wailord? He wavered back and forth between the options of getting Wailord to eat the creature or letting the creature on and punching it in the face. But before he could respond, Wailord had already moved lower into the water, allowing the stranger to clomp onto its back, carrying its canoe with it.

Steven watched with malevolent indifference as the creature balanced his canoe on the whale’s back. With a smile, he turned and stumbled over to Steven. Steven flashed a sneer; the thing’s hooves were obviously not meant for sea life.

“Whew!” the goatman continued, “Thanks for letting me on board! I thought I was going to have to row the entire way to Sootpolis!” He put a hand behind his back, smiling sheepishly. Steven’s eyes narrowed. This thing was going to Sootpolis as well?

“Who are you?” Steven asked, the malevolence in his voice easy to hear. The goatman grinned and answered, “Oh, I’m just here to make sure you get to Sootpolis. Just think of me as an escort… of sorts.” Sighing, the goatman looked around, smiling at the scenery before asking, “So… how’s trip been so far? Getting sea-sick yet?”

Steven glared at the creature, his fists already curled into a ball. He didn’t trust this monster one bit. And yet, he had a strange feeling that he shouldn’t throw the thing overboard. It was like the other feeling… the one that had told him to follow that darn blue line…

“Stay out of my way,” Steven growled, and walked over to Wailord’s head. Groaning, he sat down, glaring into the horizon.

With a sigh, the goatman stumbled over to his canoe and sat down. " 'One of the nicer kids,' they said," he muttered, "Sure, sure..."

It had been only ten minutes before the goatman’s was echoing across the entire area. “They’ve found us! They’ve found us!” Steven stood up and turned around just as two hands landed on his shoulder. “Get ready, kid,” the goatman said, his voice grave, “They’ve found us.

Instinctively, Steven threw the goatman’s arms off him, sending the thing stumbling back.Who the heck was he talking about? Before he could ask, a black cloud whipped by his side, taking with it a piece of her arm. He winced, glancing at the newly formed wound. “What the…?” Another flash of black whizzed by him.

“Krides!” Whatever that meant, it probably wasn’t good. Frantically, the goatman leapt into his canoe to hide. The black blob stopped in mid-air, turning what appeared to be its head toward Steven. Gurgling, burping, sizzling, it began to form, taking on the shape of an Aerodactyl. Smiling, it let out a roar.

“Kid!” Steven spun around toward the goatman, who was peaking his head out from inside the canoe. “Here! Take this!” He threw something sharp and shiny toward Steven, who stumbled to grab it. A plain dagger.

“I’ll hold him off from over here!” The goatman said, waving a bow above his head, “You’ll need that more than I will!”

The Aerodactyl charged with incredible speed, almost knocking Steven off of Wailord. The Pokémon itself shuddered as the Aerodactyl flew into it. Frantically, the goatman fired two arrows in the thing’s direction. The creature roared in pain as the arrows hit, and swerved over to the goatman, about to strike.

“Hey!” The Aerodactyl turned to see a dagger tear through its wings. Shrieking, the creature stumbled back, towards Wailord’s blowholes. One swift sneeze later, and the thing was spiraling into the water, landing inside with a loud hiss.

There was silence as the drama died down. Panting, Steven patted Wailord on the back. “Thanks,” he whispered. Wailord beamed with pride.

“Not bad, not bad,” the goatman said, taking his dagger back from Steven, "But, you know, I did all the hard work back there." Noticing Steven’s glare, he added, smiling, “Hey, c’mon! I’m just joking, alright! No need to get upset about it! Besides,” he pointed off towards the horizon, “it looks like we’ve arrived.”

Muttering under his breath, Steven leapt off of the Wailord’s back, his drenched clothing making squishing sounds as he landed. Whose bright idea was it to build a city that could only be entered underwater? And as to how he had gotten in here… he brushed the memory into the corner of his mind and looked around. People were eying him strangely, him and the- He blinked and spun around. The goatman was gone.

“Hey!” A familiar voice shouted from somewhere up high, “Over here!” Turning, Steven spotted the creature standing above some strange cave in the middle of the city. How he hadn’t been noticed yet was only Steven’s guess.

Silently, he recalled his Wailord and made his way up the ancient steps of Sootpolis. The blue trail had fallen to the ground now, and he stepped through it, twisting his way around the old artifacts and even older people. Curious eyes landed on him – what was a child doing, going to the Cave of Origin? He stopped in front of the cave, eyeing the old man standing in front of him. A nod, and the man stepped inside.

With a deep breath, he made his way into the darkness.

((OOC: No, that was not some magical dagger I handed him. It was just a plain ol' dagger from a plain ol' satyr. So yeah...))

Ruby in the Diamonds
Proto Cumulus ~ High above Route 123 ;334;

Mt. Pyre, far down below, howled with the spirits of Pokemon passed. Some people call it the place where Life Ends.
High above this haunted and mystical mountain, flying elegantly and gloriously, flew a blue bird Pokemon, surrounded by a cloud. To be exact, it was far more than a single blue bird. It was actually, one of the majestic Altaria, the Humming Pokemon, flying along a flock of Swablu, which when all pushed together in the way they were, resembled a large, fluffy, almost cute, cloud.

The numerous birds were not alone, however, as in the middle of thier small flock, directly on the back of the Altaria, sat a human, male to be precise. His black pants stood out insanely, at least from a top-down view, as from underneath, literally nothing but the clouded wings could be even the most keen sighted Pokemon. The flock moved fast, and covered almost an entire route in minutes. But even then, it was a long, tiring fly, and with the added weight of a human on her back, the Altaria was on the brink of collapsing.

Proto Cumulus, the Son of Rayquaza, was the human sitting on the back of the Humming Pokemon, trying to spot the small flickers of the golden trail. While it would normally be simple to spot, from high up in the sky, the golden trail was almost the exact same color and brightness of the sun. Proto looked down to the blue head of his Altaria, as she made a high pitched, smooth, melody, while simply humming. Of course, it was not as soothing as its normal melody. This one seemed more strained, like it had too. Proto leaned over, and scratched his birds head. "Hey buddy? You okay there?"
The Altaria cooed, and motioned to the many Swablu, which suddenly scattered as immediately the suns setting, and the orange sky showing itself to Proto, its wonder and amazement bringing him to feeling one with himself.

"Oh man, I love the setting sun. Its so..." The suns rays suddenly burst over and through a passing cloud, and nearly blinded Proto, who swore loudly. "Ahh! Its so frickin' lovely, eh?" Proto sighed, and pointed down to what looked like a huge, white, eruptive crater. the Altaria swooped, and the two moved to the old city of Mossdeep. The swooping bird Pokemon flew down over the walls, and gracefully landed on the small island, which housed the Gym. Proto looked at the large doorway, and sighed; once it had been his dream to be the best. But at a young age, it simply extinguished. Proto climbed off, and looked over at his Pokemon, as she slumped weakly.

"Oh man, okay, c'mon, lets go to the PokeCenter."
And with that, the Pokemon was returned to its black Pokeball, and the trainer made his way over to the PokeCenter, to heal his Pokemon, and hopefully find a place to sleep.

---

Proto awoke, to a new day, and a new dawn. He clambered out of the rented bed, and walked in the direction of the flowing trail. How no one else saw it, he didn't know. Walking out from the small building, crafted from white stone, he saw the trails bright light in the somewhat dark morning light. It led up a trail of stone steps, and into a large, stone cave. Proto sighed, as he made his way up. The steps went for a while, but he didn't mind in the end. Upon reaching the top, Proto looked down on the city, and smiled as he watched a young boy swimming over to the Gym house, raring for battle. "Well, good luck kid."

Proto spotted an old man, standing in the way of the cave entrance. Proto pulled out his Altaria, who blew out with a glowing golden light, and immediately began sining. The melody could drown out even a Loudred, as the man slowly fell asleep, unaware of the presence of the Humming Pokemon. Proto stepped over the old mans body, and patted his back. "Sorry old man, but this seems important." With a shuddering hiss, he stepped into the never ending darkness.

---

The tunnel went on for hours, the shadow and darkness gave him a surrounded feeling, as he swore he could see Absol, Geodudes, and other Pokemon in the dark. But eventually, Proto could see the light at the end of the dark. He clambered over a large boulder, and suddenly felt the simplicity of soft, calm snow on the top of the boulder. Wait, snow? The boulder rumbled, and in a split second, a bursting hot flame spat out of the large crevice in the rock, and lit up the entire cave. As Proto leapt back and avoided the fiery mass, he was able to recognize the mass of stone; Camerupt. the monster turned, as the lava sitting on the ceiling of the cave lit up the room just enough to allow the human sight. The enormous stone Pokemon made him feel so insanely intimidated, that he had to quickly duck underneath the beasts chest to escape the roaring flame from its might mouth.

"Go Altaria! Use DragonRage!" The blue Pokemon burst from the thrown Pokeballs, and instantly let out a flurry of red and blue flame, hitting the beast in the side, and nearly toppling it over. But it shrugged off the attack, and let out a deadly and hot flame, known as 'Solar Beam'. How it was being used under ground, Proto didn't know. "Altarai! Move it!"

The two moved to the left quickly, as the enormous blast burnt a deep, searing hole in the side of the cave. These numerous attacks were turning the room into a steam house, and it was even getting somewhat lighter. But Proto needed to get out of here, and so, with one final attack, he would.
"Altaria! Use your special attack! HYPER BEAM!"
The Humming Pokemon charged up a white ball of energy, and as the Camerupt did the same, reading another SolarBeam, the blue clouded bird let out a powerful, enormous white beam of energy, knocking the Camerupt onto his back, and turning his boulder-like form, into simple stones, scattered around the cave. Not an easy fight, but not a hard one either.

Proto turned around, and saw a room filled with blue and red jewels and diamonds. As soon as he walked in, he was suddenly overwhelmed by the immense shining glory, and tripped down a single step, before landing on a pile of stones, and with that, blacked out.

THE!MID!NIGHT!BEAST!
Jade Everheart - Ilex Forest ;407;

It had been at least twenty minutes since Jade had thought it would be a good idea to run off without letting anyone know where she was to follow a blue trail in the sky that she'd felt a 'connection' with. Pffft. This had to be one of the most ridiculous ideas Jade had ever had. Her stupid emotions had tricked her into feeling 'something' and now she was lost in a forest. Since the trail had led her south of Goldenrod and then past the old couple's daycare centre, Jade was pretty sure she was in the Ilex Forest. Wait, the Ilex Forest? As in the stay-away-from-the-Ilex-Forest-or-you'll-get-killed-for-sure Ilex Forest?

"Roserade, come on out!" Jade commanded as she released her only Pokemon. Upon its landing on the forest floor, the bouquet Pokemon twirled around before facing its trainer, its scarlet eyes blinking as it waited for its next order.

"As you can see, we're not anywhere we've been before, and we're all alone. Lost. In this forest." Jade deadpanned, her hand gesturing to the forest. "Anyway, it's up to you to lead us out of here...somehow. Think you can do it?" Jade taunted, raising an eyebrow mockingly at her Pokemon.

The Roserade narrowed its eyes at Jade. They were the best of all friends, but there were sometimes hiccups like this at times when things were tense. Sure, Roserade was more of a plant than an actual living thing like an Arcanine, but that didn't mean she was worse than them when it came to skills out of battle. Without warning, the Pokemon suddenly dashed off, racing further into the forest as it left its trainer with no choice but to chase after it. Finally, both Pokemon and trainer emerged from the tangled mess of the forest, only to enter a clearing that was completely empty apart from a small, wooden structure, all the while still surrounded by huge, towering trees.

"This isn't the exit, this is just some weird signpost-thing. Nice going, Roserade." Jade snorted as she shook her head and sighed. "God, why did I rely on a plant to get us out of here?"

Roserade's eyes flashed angrily as the colour of the bouquets on its hands intensified and its poison bubbled with fury. Enough was enough. Time to show Jade what a 'plant' could really do. Taking in the few rays of sunlight that had managed to fight its way onto the forest floor, Roserade directed its hand to the opposite side of the clearing before firing two blinding beams into the forest, creating several explosions to wherever it had managed to reach within the forest.

"Nice Solarbeam," Jade began, before she was cut off by the faint sound of something buzzing. Both trainer and Pokemon turned around, confused, as the buzzing got louder and louder until they realised-

"BEEDRILL!" Jade screamed in horror as a swarm of completely furious Beedrill got closer and closer until Jade decided it would be a good time to run. Only the sound of two pairs of feet pounding the ground in desperation and fear and heavy panting could be heard as they tried to outrun the Beedrill, but it was no use. Just as the two rounded a corner, they almost ran straight into a mass of overgrown vines that had a tiny entrance in the middle of the mess. Quickly looking behind to see the Beedrill, Jade's heart sank. They were at a dead end, no doubt about it.

"It'll be fine! Just dive in! Do it! Before it's too late!" Jade heard somebody whisper. The voice was soft and gentle, and sounded like whoever had said it meant well.

Jade looked to the right, wondering if Roserade had heard the voice too, only to discover that her Pokemon had already jumped into the overgrown wildlife already. Without wasting another second, Jade jumped into the vines just before the entrance closed up altogether and the Beedrill all smacked into the now concrete-hard mass.

OOC: Since it's been three days since the last post, I will allow for everyone to go to their cabins at such now. Something important to note though is that we all arrive at camp in the order that we posted. This is important because if you posted after someone, you can't wake up next to them unless they want to wake up next to you (i.e. Mr. Joker can't have his character wake up next to mine on the camp, but if I have mine wake up next to his, that's fine). Also, no bunnying.

@InnerFlame, no nicknames for Pokémon, it says that in the sign-ups.

@FallenSanity, this isn't huge big deal, but could you please format your posts better by pressing enter twice after each paragraph, this way they look like everyone else? It's easier to read that way.

@GoldenrodGirl, the entrance to camp for Kanto is Cerulean Cave... I'm not sure if you character was trying to enter camp through Ilex Forest or not, but that won't work, sorry.

Oh, and since I'm the GM, no one can have a character that goes past the time that mine is on. This will probably stay for most of the game to keep it easy. And I'm also changing the thing that you put in bold at the top of your posts; check the first post to see what's different, or just look at my post and see if you can figure it out :p

Sora - Camp Half-Blood ;146;

Sora woke up with his back on a sandy beach. His head throbbed and at first his vision was cloudy. As it cleared up he tried sitting upright, ignoring the ensuing head rush. Looking around his he saw a vast ocean lapping its waves against the sand. That was what was in front of him, and when he turned he saw a large, grassy area. It seemed to spread out for a good fifty yards. Once he felt better he stood up carefully and walked over to the spot.

He got there after a minute or two and continued to wander. Soon he came upon a lake, which glittered in the sunlight. A few kids his age were either swimming or relaxing on the sand. One of them was a girl with long, blond hair. She was laying on the sand in a red swimsuit under a large umbrella. Sora walked over to her cautiously. As he walked down a few steps that entered the area he began to smell a fresh, homey scent that made him feel like he shouldn't be nervous of this place.

It only took a minute for him to reach her, and when he did he said, "Hello?"

The girl's eyes opened and she quickly got up and looked around. When she spotted him there was a flash of light that blinded Sora for a minute. When it cleared he was suddenly up against a rocky wall. The girl held a red-hot dagger at his neck - and he knew it was red-hot because of the heat he could feel a few inches away from it - and had her free hand on him so that he couldn't move.

"Who are you?!" she yelled at him. Sora noticed a few people in the lake stop to watch. He looked back and forth between them and her before answering.

"I-I'm Sora Corone. I came here because Keldeo told me to, and some satyr said I needed to be here."

The girl narrowed her eyes at him like she partly believed him. Then she slowly took away her dagger, which then disappeared into thin air.

"Damn Keldeo," she muttered under her breath. For a moment Sora noticed a vicious blue shimmer appear in the sky, but it left just as quickly as it appeared. Then she called, "Hey ice princess, you have a visitor!"

"Huh?" Sora asked, but the girl that had the dagger to his throat went back to laying down. A second girl ran over to him from somewhere a few yards away. As soon as she came up to him the air felt a little colder. Her hair was blond like the other girl's, but this new girl had some blue streaks and extensions in hers. She wore a light blue swimsuit that matched the blue in her hair, which Sora thought was weird.

"Hey! We finally have a new member!" she happily exclaimed. She didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around him. As she did Sora noticed that she felt very cold. Ironically enough, as he though this she said, "You're so warm too!"

"Hey, snow fairy, can you go somewhere else?" the other girl asked, who was only a few feet away, "You're making everything turn into your little winter wonderland."

"C'mon!" the girl said excitedly, "I want you to meet everyone else!"

***

I'm going to make the SU's for the counselors, so please don't post if you were planning on including one of them in your post. Feel free to still post if you need to get to camp, but as for everyone else please hold off on meeting your counselor(s). EDIT: Discussion thread is up.

OOC: Sorry for this being late, been really busy.

Joel West - Outside Cerulean City - ;171;

It has been a long day for Joel. He had been walking around bored mainly looking for women around the area but for some reason either they have been locked away or he wasn't looking hard enough. "Wait, shouldn't they be looking for me" he thought walking around the city waiting for something to do while his house was being cleaned.

It was a cloudy day around Cerulean City but the heat was still there and Joel was feeling it. He had his trusty Lanturn with him in his Pokeball. "It seems dude, that you're a water Pokemon that I can even use to be of good company but hey you are the great swimmer" he said out loud with no one around Joel which at least gave him some hope that he wasn't going crazy or that people thought he was crazy.

"Might take a walk around here" he thought as he looked at the sky and then started to walk. Joel was a tall big unit, who was quite strong and fit. He has dark brown hair gelled up on the front working with his light blue eyes. He was wearing a white shirt that was overlapped by a dark blue jacket and dark blue pair of jeans.

He continued to walk around the outskirts of the city without a single thought in his head. Joel was simply a guy who used his charms on the ladies with mixed success and this was aided by his looks which he did treasure a lot. He walked and walked without any direction within himself on where he was going. "Dude, I wish sometimes life wasn't so boring" Joel said to himself while he was kicking a rock forward with his right foot.

He walked past a few parts of the outskirts which coming from the city wasn't the best choice. He saw all the stares that were coming towards him from the people who lived in the outskirts. "Creepy" Joel thought while avoiding their eyes, it was like they were piercing him and it was just very unsettling to the young male. At least no one tried to attack him but that was just too soon as a group of males around his age walked towards him. Between them all, Joel was the odd one out coming from the city and the clothing in comparison to the males, it was inequality in status right there and now.

"City punk, what are you doing here?" asked one of the group as they stared Joel down. "Walking, have any problem with that" Joel remarked quickly as they started to get mad because of Joel's attitude towards them. "What?" Joel added "Should I be scared of you guys, it does seem a waste doesn't it?" They started to get really mad at him, "That's it City Punk, you are going down" yelled one of the males as Joel smirked, "You have to catch me first" With that Joel started to run off with them following him.

He didn't however count on a dead end near the forest. "Not good" Joel thought as he was corned. One of the males threw a punch but Joel dodged it however at the same time another of the group punched him the body making Joel step back in pain. Joel started to fight back with 3 against 1, he had no hope. He tried and tried but he was going nowhere. "I'm going nowhere with this" he thought as he tried to land a punch but that caught. The male who caught that punch, pushed Joel nearby a hole in the ground near a little cave.

Joel smirked in pain, he tried to run to them but then he tripped on a rock and then fell into the whole. The gang of boys laughed as Joel started to black out. He was bleeding a little, bruised, falling down a hole after tripping on a rock and now unconscious.

Iris Boudreaux- Camp Half Blood ;480;

Iris stirred. She slowly began to move, but didn't stand upright at first. Instead, she felt the sand around her. It was fine and golden, kind of like a dream resort, and she wondered about where exactly she was. She knew that she was on some sort of coast- the gentle lapping of the tides told her that much- but even so, there was something odd about the place. She could hear people around her age, faintly, and also other, more unusual sounds. She ignored the unusual sounds for the time being, as they sounded like swords clashing and weapons being deflected off of shields. She hadn't washed up in a warzone, had she?

She slowly sat upright, wincing as the pressure equalised and her vision went fuzzy for several moments, rubbing her eyes just to realise that her glasses were still on. Amazing. What exactly had happened? She had leapt into the waterfall and then... Nothing. Well, she had an unusual dream that saw two girls beckoning to her, but that was hardly imperative. Her dreams were weird all the time, and none of them ever came true. Then here.

She stood up, and surveyed the land for a few moments. A large field seemed to dominate the place for almost as far as the eye could see. There were occasional trees and then a large forest on the outskirts. Was this perhaps an adventure theme park or something outlandish? Reality television? All her hypotheses were shot down by basic common sense and logic, so she resorted to gingerly walking up the field and keeping her gaze squarely ahead. If she looked down she feared that there would be something looking at her.

Instead, she noticed a group of teens on the outskirts of the field. Most of them were thin, blonde and tall, but she noticed something else far more alarming. They all appeared to be wearing the exact same sort of spectacles as her. The same frame, the same glass, the way it hugged their ears... She found it rather shocking. One of the girls just happened to turn around at this point, and Iris found it hard not to cringe, for the girl had a big smile on her face. The rest of the group were now examining her even as the girl walked up to her.

"Hi, I don't believe we've ever met before but you're definitely one of us!" said the girl happily.

"One of what?" replied Iris with suspicion. She had already decided that it was weird. That, and all of them seemed to have some resemblance to each other- but also to her. Were they long-lost brothers and sisters or something? This was a creepily large family. Perhaps on her mother's side? It would make sense.

"Yes," said the girl simply, and then tapped her right temple with a knowing grin. What, telepathy?

Yes, said the girl again, only this time her mouth didn't move, By the way, my name is Sophie! What's yours?

One of the boys spoke up now. Unlike his creepily-similar group of friends, he was the only one who actually seemed to be speaking using his mouth in the background. Presumably, everyone else was communicating via the whole telepathy thing, which must have been a blast at parties. He navigated to beside the girl Sophie and smiled simply, "She doesn't really know anything about us, sister, although she will of course be a great asset mentally. Perhaps we should take her to see the counsellor first before telling her anything else? She doesn't even know the significance of the glasses yet. Of course," he turned to Iris, "You appear to be taking things rather well. One of the girls actually fainted when Soph chatted to them the first time."

"Oh, be quiet, Dai!" screeched one of the girls in the group, "Can't you meet one person without telling them that?"

The boy merely smiled and extended his arm for Iris to take, "Come, I'll walk you to the counsellors. One of them should be in. By the way, where are you from?"

"Snowpoint. I was training to take over as shrine maiden," Iris noticed the odd look in the boy's eyes, but decided to say nothing. Instead, she changed tack, "You said something about being 'a great asset mentally' but... I'm not really well-educated on geography, or history. All I've ever learnt is about Gods and demons and myth. I can ward off an evil spirit and exorcise those possessed but that's of no use."

They passed two fountains and for the first time Iris noted a large lake, almost ocean-like in length and width as the boy laughed, "That'll be of more use than you think. My specialist subject is etymology, because of my father. At least you'll have a chance of being chosen for important things... but that's getting ahead of things. Who is your father anyway? I presume he's an intellectual?"

There was a large archway made out of stone, and the two of them walked through it. Iris could now see six buildings, five in a pentagon around the central larger one, and made sure that no surprise showed on her face. Did they actually live here? Then she thought about the telepathy and realised that he could hear what she was thinking. Wonderful.

Instead, she nodded, "He's a researcher. He's also into myth as well. All very exciting and going on archaeological digs and such-forth. He likes living so close to Lake Acuity for his research, but at the same time it makes him upset for some reason. I just don't know what."

Dai made a sympathetic noise and gestured to the building they had stopped outside. It was the bottom-left one, and it appeared to be very relaxing and homely. The shrubbery appeared to be from Sinnoh as well. "This here is where we sleep. I'll wait outside but the counsellor should be just inside and she'll chat to you. And I presume you already know to never take the glasses off, apart from when you sleep?"

"I understand," smiled Iris, "Thank you."

She knocked on the door, then slowly walked in.

Harper Fulbrick – The outskirts of Cerulean Cave
Ani494MS.png

I made it.

The journey here hadn’t been exciting, particularly strenuous, or interesting to recall, but Harper Fulbrick fell to her knees in wonder anyway, glancing up at Cerulean Cave, breathing the very breeze wafting from the maul of the mysterious rune, where the cavern shadows cleanly swallowed her indigo compass. While it was possible the trail continued past the entrance, for some reason—instinct, Harper would deem—the grainy slag felt like the conclusion. In this chapter where the orange-haired Celadon native followed a supernatural beckoning in the form of a compelling blue trail, her earthly ending came here. The interesting part would, most definitely, be the epilogue, whatever followed from here.

The cave was an interesting landmark itself and, as she could gather from Cerulean residents, it had quite a reputation, catalogue consisting of misfortune, danger, and failure for the inquisitive and brave stupid enough not to adhere to cautionary tales. Earlier, while looking for a boat to ferry her on Route 124, since her Absol was capable of drowning in three feet of water and was not an intelligent replacement for a flotation device, Harper had been littered with outrageous depictions of the cave. Lsince her Absol was capable of drowning in three feet of water and was not an intelligent replacement for a flotation device, Harper had been littered with outrageous depictions of the cave.

Looking now, intently, it seemed like an average construct, disarming in its simplicity. Weathered bedrock was opposite her, the beady harassment of acid rain evident on the otherwise curled waves texturing the wall. The actual mouth was quite a bit larger than her, eyeballing it to be able to fit a bulldozer or something else, curiously. At one point, she’d heard the gossip that the cave could’ve possibly been man-made for some illegal experiment conducted by Team Rocket, but she couldn’t imagine this cave being touched by humankind, so worldly and imperfect in a way beholden to nature. Imperfect beauty. Should she have had a camera, she would’ve taken a picture to show her hometown, but for now, she’d be sated with her memory.

In her observation, there was a slight shift in the shadow. It was almost imperceptible, such a small gesture, but cerulean orbs had glanced at and Harper reached for her Pokeball. At first, she heard the sound of… Clapping? Thunderous clapping roared inside the entrance, reverberating off the ceiling and walls, amplifying in volume, abusing Harper’s eardrum and leaving an eerie impression. With that cacophony of sound, she almost lost the faint ruffle of soil being dusted by hooves. Furrowing her brows, Harper ran through the possibilities of hoofed Pokemon in her mind, waiting for the sun to illuminate an amused Rocket, flanking a Stantler, Girafarig, Camerupt, or a Tauros.

Only one body came out, though her assumptions weren’t too far off the mark. Still, the girl openly gaped, thrusting a accusatory finger towards the newcomer, looking for the proper words to describe what she was seeing. Right now, Harper hoped, “Wha-buh-how-where-whaaaaa?” was sufficient.

Standing in front of her, still clapping, was a man… Kind of. From his dark-haired spiked tips to his abdomen, he was indistinguishable from any other human male, rubbing two palms and producing applause, an amused smirk curling his lips, hazel eyes half-lidded in boredom. Continuing from there, however, was a mass of fur. A layer of sandy fur covered his tender thighs, bowed out like they were from a Tauros’ hindlegs, his hips awkwardly balanced over a pair of tiny, black hooves. Speculation floored her, but Harper deemed only two as plausible.

Either A, she’d stumbled upon a lab of scientists intending to make hybrid creatures and this was their bodyguard. Or B…

Collecting herself, Harper asked, as calmly as she could, “Are you my spirit guardian?” but she couldn’t help a slight tint of excitement coloring the question. Solution A was too clinical and did not coincide with the supernatural trail, but her second conclusion was obviously more plausible. Obviously.

Apparently not. The half-man, half-bull outright laughed, shouting in-between hiccups, “You’re an odd one, demigod! I’ve never been asked that in my years of guiding. Unfortunately, no, I’m not your spirit guardian.” Abruptly, he sobered, smiles and laughter dissipating, glancing at a spot behind her head with a serious expression. His tone was commanding as he ordered, “Head to the cave, demigod,” pulling out his sheathed sword in a deliberate manner, head tilted to see that thing that was hovering behind her.

The hairs on the back of Harper’s neck rose as the satyr tensed in front of her, giving little warning before he galloped towards her, waving his sword around, a menacing, decidedly animal, roar escaping from his very human lips. She barely had time to duck as he cleanly leaped over her head, listening for rather than seeing his heavy landing, and the metallic clap of his sword intercepting ghoul-y flesh. Behind her, she could hear grunts and clangs of sword and combat occurring, but she tried keeping her eyes on the cave, willing herself to stand. Harper’s spirit guardian had directed her to the cave and she best move before whatever he was battling received an advantage. However, the symphony of violence had her mesmerized and she was frozen stiff, in a bewildered trance.

“Get going, demigod! To Camp Half-Blood!” At that rough bark, she found the mechanics to pull herself onto her feet and sprint towards the cave, turning back only one time to engrave the satyr and his opponent in her mind. Harper wanted to remember her introduction to Camp Half-Blood, burning the image of a signed fog forming a cutlass out of its mass into her mind before the shadows of the cavern darkened her vision…

Ka-Ra-Tay!
Steven Stelle – On a… beach? ;379;

Gold and jewels, shimmering in dim light. Shouts, reverberations, echoes of fighting. Explosions – BOOM! – fleeing winds. Falling, grasping, weakening…

…Darkness.

The memories poured back into Steven’s mind, an unrestrained flood, overwhelming his senses. A red heat stained his eyelids; strange, loose dirt echoed a swish-swish in the wind. His eyes fluttered, shocked by the sudden stream of light coming from above. How could there be so much light in the deep recesses of a cavern? He was no longer in the Cave of Origins.

A groan escaped his mouth as he pulled himself off the ground. He shook himself awake and went to the task of brushing the fine sands off his back. To his surprise, the sand did not stick, falling back to the ground on its own accord. Curiously, he scooped up a cup of sand and watched in awe as it fell smoothly through his fingers. Was it even possible for sand to be this fine?

He looked around, his eyes wide. The dreary rock walls of the cave had opened up to create a beach that rivaled those of Slateport. Where there was a dark, damp ceiling, there was now one of the clearest skies he had ever seen. The faint silhouettes of people… wait, people? He rubbed his eyes and double-checked. Yes, there were people on the far side of the beach. Some were laying in the sand, enjoying the sun’s rays. Others were surfing on the waves. And still one other person was soaring across the sea like a bird…

… Oh yeah, he definitely had a concussion.

In one swift movement, he spun on his heel and walked away in the opposite direction. Something was seriously wrong. Could he, maybe be… dead? There was certainly a heavenly feel around here. But no, it couldn’t be; he’d never make it into heaven even if he tried. Then, if it wasn’t heaven, maybe it was an illusion? A curse? It didn’t seem likely, but perhaps it was the only viable option…

A red flash illuminated the sky, and Wailord appeared, smiling as it landed in the beach’s cool waters. A cue from Steven, and the Pokémon lowered itself as best it could in the shallow waters. Sighing, Steven tried to host himself onto the Pokémon’s back. His hands shook slightly.

Three tries later, and he could see everything from the top of Wailord’s back.

In front of him was a wide plain, filled with people chatting, reading, doing whatever. To the right, an area filled with what looked like boxing gear and climbing walls. To the left, the faint traces of water – another beach, perhaps? He could just barely make out the shapes of some buildings far away.

He glanced at the beach dwellers, some of who had paused from their activities to look in his direction. One girl pointed in his direction, smiling to her friends. They seemed to know what was going on, and yet they acted so… casual. Like they knew this was going to happen or something. The thought of such a thing ignited sparks in his eyes.

He slid off of Wailord and went towards the beach’s exit, looking around at the entire scene. Thump! Something almost caused him to slip. He glared down at the tripper, and, startled, backed up. A boy with a leather jacket and a tight green shirt was lying in the sand. He kicked the kid lightly. No response. Was he breathing? Steven checked. Yes, he was breathing. He had probably just fainted.

“Wailord,” Steven commanded, motioning the giant whale’s gaze toward the unconscious stranger, “Water Gun.” He stepped back towards Wailord and moved out of the way. The Wailord released a light Water Gun from his mouth, brushing a stream of water over the guy’s face. Unconscious… perhaps, just perhaps, he had been in the same situation…

He watched, his eyes narrowed into slits.

Ruby in the Diamonds
Proto Cumulus - Beach Half Blood;384;

The soothing sounds of waves flowing over sand, the calm rays of the peaceful sun, and the calming whir of the slow wind, each an element that makes this beach its own glorious relaxation spot. Or in Protos case, an awakening spot.

The Child of Rayquaza stirred silently, moving with the calming breeze. His tall body felt strange, as if something had coated it in liquid. Proto slowly parted eyelids, and stared directly into the yellow sun, nearly blinding him. He leaned over, and heard the noise of wind, fire, water, rock, and... metal? He could hear, barely, the clanging noises of sword on sword, shield on shield, and man on man- wait, didn't the sound of wrestling and fighting mean people?

Hadn't he been in a dark, dreary cave not even a moment ago? What had happened to the Cave of Origin? The stone ceiling, injured and ruptured, had expanded endlessly, into a giant blue sky, one which all beings of the earth lie under. The stoney walls, imbedded with red and green stones, resembling that of diamonds and mineral stones, now had changed numbers of times, into buildings, trees, people, and who knows what else. Meanwhile, the cold rock floor he had been lying on the second before darkness, had changed into a soft and fine sand, or at least, the rock beneath him had. He could see green grass overlaying areas, and blue sea water flowing over.

Proto sat up, and before he was able to study the situation, he could feel water, flwing off his jacket and clothes. He was soaking! It was almost as if a Blastoise had just... unloaded into his chest with its cannons! Or, in this case, it was more likely to be the enormous Wailord out in the sea. Proto felt the cold, and stood, brushing off the muddy sand, which even when wet, almost fell off. It was very fine sand, almost like particles of fabric. If it got windy soon, this sand was gonna hurt, and bad. Proto, still somewhat confused, looked over at the other side of this supposed beach. The blue water of the ocean and sea enveloped the soft cream sands, and the green grass blended into the beach brilliantly, like paint.

He could see people swimming, people playing, and a Pokemon flying. Or at least, he thought it was a Pokemon. He could see very little of the area around him, but he could smell freshly cut grass. He looked behind him, over his shoulder, and saw large green trees, through which he could swear he spotted a boxing arena, and a set of other people. What was going on? Where the hell is he?

The many people over the beach acted very normal. Maybe he was just on one of the beaches of Hoenn... No, there aren't enough umbrellas. He must be on some uncharted island in the middle of nowhere, were Pokemon ruled over people, and this was a rebellion, and he was going to have to fight to win, coz he is on the Planet of the Pokemon!

Eh, never-mind.

Proto looked over at the boxing arena, and contemplated joining in sooner or later. But before that, he needs to deal with the whole 'Where the heck am I?' situation. A few other people over on the grass seemed to be wearing green tops as well, and even seemed to be similar in height. Heck, he could see someone that looked taller than him! Maybe he could go and talk with them later, after talking around.

Proto looked over to the other side, and instead of seeing a large set of amazing things, he saw a single, clothed, somewhat confused looking person staring back at him. The man, or more deserving boy, looked almost like the trunk of a tree, his thick body attached to small thin arms, like branches and twigs. His black jacket, decorated with odd grey spirals, hang lifelessly off his body. Lifeless like steel. Proto looked behind him, and saw the large Wailord, which is most likely the cause of his wetness.

"Uhh... Hey?" The kid was was squinting, and Proto couldn't help feel somewhat surrounded by his stare. Clambering onto his feet, Proto realized that his Altaria was no where to be found. Or at least, he wasn't, until the sky flashed and the blue clouded Humming Pokemon shot down hastily, before instantly slowing down to land next to its master, purring happily as it nuzzled up against him. "Hey buddy. Where have you been?" Proto scratched the bird, and looked back up to the other person. "So... Uhm, what's your name?"

Ka-Ra-Tay!
Steven Stelle – On a beach ;379;

Movement. The unconscious other stirred, brought back to reality. Wailord smiled in pride at his first rescue.

The boy looked around the area, looking perplexed and lost. Maybe… he had been in the same predicament? The kid looked in his direction, as confused as he was.

“Uhh… Hey?” The other boy said, pulling himself to his feet. It had been hard to tell before, but he noticed that he was incredibly tall, skyscraper tall. Steven knew he had never seen him before, and yet, there was something familiar about his appearance. Like… a Pokémon, maybe? An Ekans? Arbok? Well, it probably didn’t mean anything, anyway.

A streak of blue flashed by in the corner of his eye, and he turned to see a fluffy blue bird soar and land by the other kid. "Hey buddy. Where have you been?" He scratched the Altaria and looked back up at Steven. “So... Uhm, what's your name?" A pause.

“…Steven,” Steven managed to say, his voice as cold and blunt as usual, “Steven Stelle.” His eye wandered toward the rocky area to the right. A flare exploded somewhere behind the rocks, yet no one seemed to notice. It was followed by a cling-cling of knives against knives, metal against metal. Funny he hadn’t noticed it before. Then again, he heard sounds like that almost every day…

A strange brown dust covered littered the kid’s clothes; Steven squinted at it. Bits of mineral deposits. “You were in the Cave, too,” he stated, “I guess you’re just as lost as I am, then.” He paused, following the kid’s gaze toward a group of similarly tall people. Was it just him, or did everyone look like someone’s twin around here? He glanced at the beach again. Pockets of similar-looking people dotted the beach. Fortunately – or was it unfortunately – no one looked like him.

He returned his Wailord in a flash of red light and sauntered over to the end of the beach, toward where the flare had come from. A clicking sound resounded with his footsteps, the echo of his pocket knife flipping in and out in his pocket. The homey scent of trees and flowers reminded him of his grandmother’s house.

“Disgusting…” he muttered under his breath. Sighing, he turned his gaze toward the other kid, who was looking at the equally tall people hanging out in the nearby grass.

“Take my advice.” The words that came out were more of a warning than advice, “Don’t get to comfortable around here.”

Something was terribly wrong about this place…

Alice Albright - Camp Half Blood [Swimming Lake]
Ani643MS.png

Where, where am I? Alice thought. All she could see was pitch darkness, she couldn't hear, taste, see, or smell anything, but she could feel. She felt like she was floating in water, which was strange because she never learned how to swim. She was treading the water, she thought.

Suddenly her sense of hearing came back to her, the sound of waves crashed with her sense of hearing. Her sight also came back, what she saw amazed her. She was in a crystal blue lake, the water was a transparent blue color, she could see the tan sand glitter about 50 feet below her, she saw tons of things in the water. Schools of various marine pokemon, a group of beauty Finnion caught her eye. Her smell also started to come back to her, the smell of a fresh sea breeze and what smelled like BBQ filled her nose.

The lake seemed like it belonged on a fancy magazine, the ones multimillionaires read. Well, maybe this is Heaven. After all, I have been to hell and back today. Am I dead? she thought. Suddenly, she heard someone screaming.

"Man overboard! Man overboard" a young man was shouting, the voice seemed fairly close.

Before she knew it, she was being picked up by the man and being placed on the rocky back of a pokemon. Woah... this pokemon, it's a Lapras. I have never seen one before. Alice noted.

Alice had a better look of the man, he was around 18 she guessed, he wore a black swimsuit and a white windbreaker. He had black hair with a white streak running through it. Alice also had a better look of where she was. To the north she saw the outline of what looked like a forest, to the west and south she saw ocean and to the east she saw green plains.

"Lemme introduce myself, my name is Zeke, son of Zekrom." he said.

Did he just say his dad was Zekrom?

"..." Alice replied, trying to keep her eyes off of Zeke.

"Ah, a shy one. Well, what's your name"

"Alice"

"Pretty name, I figured you to be a Britney" he replied

"Figured wrong.. so where are we?"

"Camp"

"That explains a lot"

"Kherin will explain, I really can't say anything."

"Who."

"You'll see."

Once the duo reached land, Zeke asked, "Any idea who your parent is"

"Yeah, my dad is Tim Albright, he's a college professor"

"Ah, so a Goddess is your parent"

"Why do you keep saying things about the myths? It is absolutely ridiculous that you would even imply that the gods are even possibly re-" she stopped talking.

Twenty yards in front of her, her Wargle floated in a veil of silver... dust? Alice and Zeke quickly ran up to it and started bawling. Wargle wasn't breathing.

Zeke quickly yelled "MEDICS HELP" and not even two seconds later about a half dozen... Touros men were trying to heal it.

"GET AWAY" Alice yelled. No-one touched her pokemon. No one.

"He needs to be looked at Alice" Zeke tried to explain, but Alice wasn't having any of it.

"NO" she said, her sadness turned to anger. No one would listen to her. Suddenly she felt a tingle in her. She closed her eyes and let her anger out.

When she opened her a ring of fire was burning around her and her Wargle. Zeke and the Touros men were outside it, unable to touch them. "It'll be okay.." Alice told herself.

She turned around to look at her injured bird, but before a voice yelled "Child. Please, calm yourself." The voice was soothing. The ring of fire died down and the Touros Men took the Wargle.

She looked up at the owner of the voice to see another Touros man, but he was different.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood" he said.

Proto Cumulus - Beach Half Blood ;384;

“…Steven,” His voice was so dull and uncaring, like a robot. “Steven Stelle.” As the guy looked away, a flash of light could clearly be seen from behind the rocks, which were behind Proto, who was unable to look at them until after hearing the clanging of weaponry and metal. Proto really didn't care; he just wanted to know where he was. Before he was able to speak however, Steven interrupted.

“You were in the Cave, too. I guess you’re just as lost as I am, then.” How Steven knew this, Proto had the faintest idea. He doubted it was the small grains of sand and rock on him, because who really could tell where a person came from due to minerals? Please.
Proto was still staring over to the other similar looking people, contemplating wether to speak with them or not. In a red flash, the large Wailord disappeared, and the Steven fellow made his way over to the explosive light. Proto did not care too investigate this sudden flash, but other people commonly thought differently to Proto. For example, many people don't seem to think of wind as calming, while Proto thinks it could calm even the storms and the fires of Hell itself.

Proto followed behind, letting his Altaria fly above, watching the wondrous camp life. Proto could hear a very faint clinking noise, and realized it was coming from Steven, and sounded like his pocket had two single coins. Proto shrugged it off, as he could hear people in the beach playing and cheering, before he suddenly smelt the scent of trees and flowers. Too him, fortree smelt so much nicer, with its many trainers and people owning creatures from Roselia to Vileplume. Sweet scent... Sweet scent.

“Disgusting…” Proto looked over at Steven for a split second, and noticed he seemed to be smelling the air as well. Reverting back to the fellow green-shirt wearers, Proto started to realize other similarities. Similar eye color, similar hair style and color, and even similar postures. Who were these people, and why were they so like him? As he scanned the area, Proto spotted a woman, a year or two older, wearing blue clothing and looking at him with a keen smile. She looked like she was expecting something. Proto started to walk over, but before he made a third step, Steven spoke, and sounded very serious.

“Take my advice.” Steven seem to be giving advice more than simply talking. “Don’t get to comfortable around here.”
Proto looked from the grey man to the green kids. He sighed, and really decided that if he was to make friends, he felt this guy would be a good start.

Following Steven to the spot of the explosion, Proto hung, back, and watched as Steven investigated the scene. After a while of silence, Proto broke it. "So? What was it, a Pokemon?" Proto didn't care too much, but why don't you try making a friend without talking. Its no where near as easy as one would think.

Chill
Noah Rubin - Whirl Islands ;471;

Noah brushed his stringy, salt crusted hair out of his eyes, and shook his head. He had been traveling over sea for days.

It's what I get for not having a Flying Pokemon with me, he mused. He reached into his pocket, and felt the familiar, warming chill of Glaceon's Pokeball, and clenched it between his fingers.

He looked around at his surroundings. It was a dismal day. The sky was a dark grey, looking as if it was seconds away from opening and letting a torrential downpour of rain fall on Noah. The sand was white and cold, nothing like the beach back home at Cianwood.

He turned to the water he had just come from and waved at the retreating form of a Mantine.

"Thanks for the lift!" Noah called out. Without the help of the Mantine, Noah never would have made it to the Whirl Islands, where the blue light in the sky just... stopped.

He frowned as he looked back up the sky. Yep, there was no way of getting around it. The light lead directly into the center of the archipelago.

He pulled the light blue, white, and navy Pokeball out of his pocket (why his mother gave him a Dive Ball to capture Eevee in way back when, he'll never understand), and silently released his partner from her confines.

An icy blue feline emerged from the flash of white light of the opening ball. She looked around her surroundings and turned to Noah.

<So, this is it,> she said. <We've traveled for days, and now we have to go into the caves?>

Noah smiled. "Yeah."

Glaceon rolled her eyes. <Well, let's go then. If I'm missing spending time with that cute Quilava from down the street, there damn well better be something amazing in there!>

Noah laughed, and Glaceon gave a soft smile. That's how they worked, they were opposites, but that's why their friendship and partnership worked.

As the duo made their way to the cave's entrance, Noah spoke. "Hey, Glaceon? Why do they call them the Whirl Islands?"

Glaceon stopped mid-step. <Because of all of the whirlpools, duh.>

They stopped short, turned around, and saw a monstrous whirlpool right where the Mantine had dropped them off.

"Holy ****."

<There is no cause for alarm.>

The soothing voice startled Noah. "Wh-who's there?"

A small fairy sloshed as it floated over to them. <My name is Manaphy, and I'm the Spirit of the Sea. I'm here to guide you to Mirage Island.>

Noah raised an eyebrow. "Mirage Island?"

Manaphy nodded. <Now, follow me.> The spirit floated over to the whirlpool, turned to Noah and Glaceon, smiled, closed its eyes, and dived.

Noah gsped. "That thing must be insane!"

Glaceon shook her head. <No. I've heard of this... creature. It's the spirit of the sea, and guardian of Legendaries... I vote we follow it.>

Noah's eyes widened. "What?"

<We've come this far, following a streak of blue light in the sky. Why not follow the blue guy? If we don't, this journey's been a waste.>

Noah thought. "Okay."

And with that, the two friends jumped into the whirlpool.

Iris Boudreaux- Camp Half-Blood (Sinnoh Cabin) ;480;

As soon as she entered, Iris immediately felt much more relaxed. There was something about this place that was so much like home- perhaps it was the smell, or the photos adorning the walls. The furniture was all very similar to famous brands from back home, and she could see some paintings of legendaries by some up-and-coming artist or other beside some small shrine-like structure.

There was a girl sat on the sofa, and as Iris walked in the girl tapped the seat beside her, gesturing for Iris to sit down. At first Iris was slightly nervous about the whole situation, but reminded herself of the smell of home and the aura of calm that radiated from the girl indicated that perhaps she would be safe enough to talk to.

The girl launched into her spiel even as Iris settled down beside her, "Hello there, my name is Rhea and I am officially your counsellor during your time at Camp Half-Blood," Iris opened her mouth to say something but Rhea held her hand up to signify silence and continued, "Due to the nature of your experience, we completely understand if you feel the need to ask many questions. Be aware that your time at Camp, although rigorous and motivating, can also be dangerous and so we- I- hope you follow all safety protocols and listen to the training instructors at all times. You may feel free to leave at any time but as soon as you do so you leave the protection of this sacred place, thus rendering you vulnerable to the masses of monsters attracted to your life energy and special abilities."

Rhea took a deep breath at this point, and Iris took it as a cue to jump in, "Yes, thank you for all that, but- what's the point of this Camp in the first place?"

"Camp Half-Blood is a specialised facility designed to train young demigods to adapt themselves to their harsh inheritance and future life. We hope that through your training you will live a long and prosperous life and that your existence will not come to a short and grizzly end." Iris was sure that she should feel angry at this point but instead she felt rather like she was in a state of euphoria. She wanted to smile, and have dinner, and then go to sleep.

Rhea seemed to have been closing her eyes for a few moments, but opened them again as she continued, "Demigods are children of the Gods and Goddesses that make our land prosperous. Such Gods and Goddesses are Dialga, Moltres, Uxie, Reshiram and Zekrom. We honour all of them here. Children of Gods are born with special talents that must be honed in controlled conditions and properly grown and nurtured. Like a tree. Or shrub. "

"So whose child am I?"

"We have a procedure here. Although you can tell at a glance who your parent probably is, we have certain rules here that Sinnoh Cabin certainly prefers to uphold. When we have a proportion of new members here at Camp we have a nice little getting-to-know-you kind of night. Usually around then we get onto the topic of... parentage. It would be better if one of the senior members answered any of your questions, anyway. Today has been rather... exhaustive." Rhea grinned, "There's a bench outside if you want to sit down and watch the world go by. That's what most newbies- I mean, new prospective campers- do."

Iris skipped merrily out of the door with an almost comical grin on her face, most people giving her a wide berth as she waltzed over to the aforementioned bench and began braiding her hair absentmindedly. Rhea had been really nice, and although she had some doubts she really should be happy! Contented! Fulfilled! Joyful! Iris hummed a little tune to herself and then slowly calmed down as she realised what had happened.

Whatever. She couldn't be bothered to get into anything right now, and certainly not argue. Nobody was talking to her, which was wonderful (all of her 'clones' had dispersed to by the lake, and she wasn't going to feel like the odd one out by going and talking to them) and so instead she just watched and waited. Perhaps if she recognised a senior member she could talk to them?

Joel West - Camp Half Blood ;144;

"Urrghhh....where am I?" Joel groaned waking up from his little fall. He looked around "We'll boys, we aren't at Cerulean anymore" he muttered as he picked himself up and looked around. "This is not right" he thought to himself while surveying the area.

Joel looked around, it area was pretty. It was like a little garden with flowers and trees with sweet serene noise and smells that tempted around it. "Alright...alright?" he muttered as he saw what seemed to be another male coming towards him. He did look human so that was at least checked out as normal. "Ahh welcome, you must be a half-goddess" said the male to Joel who looked confused after that statement, "Last time I checked, I wasn't a goddess although they are babes, male...half god...me...you know what I mean" Joel answered back with some confusion in his voice.

The male replied back "Sorry about that, anyway welcome to Camp Half-Blood for people like you, people that are half gods" with Joel lifting an eyebrow up "There are hot babes right?". The male looked confused "But don't you care about why you are here and what we do here?" Joel smiled "Look dude, as long as there are hot chicks then I am set dude, I'll figure the rest later" as the male gestured for Joel to follow him.

"Here we train demi-gods like yourself into great lives for the future" the Male added as Joel ran up to him "Sounds reasonable but what do you mean by future?" he asked as the Male looked at him and smiled "Well you will find out young one". They both walked until they both reached the main part of the camp. A Tauros Man jumped up and welcomed Joel in a very loud voice "Welcome to Camp Half Blood" Joel looked uneasy and replied back "Errr thanks I guess" as both of them walked past the Tauros Man. "That was nice..." Joel remarked very slowly with the male that took him to the main part of the camp smiling politely to Joel. "So you are free to roam" the male said walking away from Joel. "Great" he thought while he started to walk around wondering if he both catch any girls that were his type or just randoms.

Joel smiled at randoms at least wanting a conversation but that wasn't the case either they were too shy or he was just too lazy to go to them and talk. "Haven't seen any babes yet" he thought as he stopped walking and just looked around. "It is a shame but maybe I'll get lucky" he thought as he remembered the last time he actually went to a camp which got him called a 'great shot' with arrows and with women. "There has to be someone to talk to...that is hot and female" he thought as he smiled to himself.
