HG/SS Slots/Game Corner in ALL English games changed

Clamps

Warning: Jokes!
Well, it's official, you guys aren't missing anything good. The slots are rigged to hell and back in HGSS, the prizes are exactly the same as in DPt, and they took out the kick-*** card game from GSC.

I was never aware that people used the slots to earn coins. I found them to be boring and unfair, it was much easier to buy coins. I mean, who cares if those are missing? Not me.

But, that's just my opinion, I don't even live in Europe. =P

Leave luck to Heaven
big mistake

The slots were so iconic to the games and I think it will be a shame to see them go - despite their infuriating meanings and painfully high coin prices...
It's rediculous to think that anyone is actually going to go out and buy Hg/Ss & then get hooked on gambling.
If Gamefreak are going to replace the slots, they better find a more enjoyable way to buy over-priced TM's and poorly treated, caged Porygon & Abra.

2nd gen all the way!
NOOO i loved the slots this sucks!

I guess its not too big a deal. While yes, losing a feature from the original games is sad, I always found that the slots were totally rigged. The only way to get a TM or pokemon was to buy coins for at least 100 times their amount, which always burned a hole in my pocket.

Well, at least we always have the Battle Frontier =)

I hope every prize in those casinos gets sold somewhere in-game, but it's not a big lose i suppose, like The Indomitable says, the only way to get them was to buy coins, it was time consuming to play until you get all these coins!

It was nostalgia of the first gen (RBY) the only reason i loved these casinos, but i don't use them anymore since then (when it was new and well, curiosity).

Edit: Personally, banning games and entertainment even in some small details is something i wouldn't expect from developed nations, i still don't understand some bans not only about the slots, but gaming overall (looking at you Aus).

This is probably just an another Euro myth, like the hard-hats and bent bananas. The casino won't be cut out.

Yeah yeah yeah, I've always found those slots stupid and boring, the chance of getting coins is 1/100 or something like that, and when you've almost lost your coins, you win, just to get back 50 coins, wich you will spend in those slot machines again anyway, lolz

Yes, it will be, it's already been cut out of Platinum.

Really? Oh well, I don't really care anyway. The casino was a pain in the ***, there was almost no way to get those shiny TMs, you had to use all your money on coins.

The reason ("protecting children from gambling") however is really stupid.

Yeah, I expected they'd do this, after Platinum. So, what? Gambling is wrong, but Fire-breathing is a-ok?

I'm not bothered about this. I've always just bought the coins off the counter anyway. I'd like to see a good viable alternative for getting the TMs in future main games though, i.e. buying them from the department store, or putting them in the Battle Frontier.

Why Game Freak? WHY?

Its not a big deal for me.The total time I played slot in all 4 gens is even less than 20-30 times.Like everyone,I buy what I need by buying tons of coins and then exchanging it.
Only thing I want to see is being able to select how many coins one exactly need.Buying only 50 or 500 coins at a time is way too boring and time consuming.

Australia got the slots in Platinum, so we should get them in HG/SS. It's rated PG (equivalent to E10+) over here, for some reason.
I hope so, they better make another way to get tms and what not. but i might get an american copy of it (my bro's good at getting games early), cant wait till mid next year >.< I never really used the slots though, im just too unlucky.

plasmacid

Look out a n00b!
Of all my time playing Pokemon I have NEVER used any of the slot machines etc.
I just buy the coins, I don't gamble with em'.

I Guess They found promoting gambling to kids was unethical.
What's so wrong with gambling anyway?
I think people are just being overcritical on gambling.
I'm Guessing someone complained and they had to go overboard on the matter.
It Doesn't matter anyway, you can never get anything from them dang things anyway.
All you end up doing is spending 300 coins just to earn them coins back in return.

I don't care to be honest. It's not a big deal, nor does it affect me.

What? It says I already rated this thread. I did no such thing. D:<
