Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.
However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

It's possible that they could remove them, however I am doubtful, for starters, although that link was provided by mitchman_93, the guy in the link provided, how do we know that he isn't lying, or telling the truth for that matter?

I personally dont care, as if I want a TM from the slots, I just buy the coins. I hardly ever play the slots. But seriously... Next they are gonna complain people are gonna be wasting thier lives looking for "shiny animals".

yeah I don't think australia will be getting the slots either...
the game is rated G here (the lowest rating for everyone) and says nothing about "gambling" references". this is odd coz all previous pokemon games have been PG with gambling references.

Also, did they edit out the part in DPPt where the Galactic Grunt in Celestic Town threatens to blow up the town with a bomb? Because if they didnt... I mean come on. A gang member threatening terrorism is ok, but not gambling?

Interesting... I live in US so it won't affect me but apparently Incinerating a bird(Cyndaquil used flamethrower, Pidgey fainted) is better for kids to see than gambling. And I liked the slots. I can almost always get 300 coins(in Gold and Silver not in new ones). Violence is actually heavy in pokemon if you think about it(I am not anti-pokemon, I love the games). I don't think gambling is an issue. I think the EU needs to think before they act.

From what I was told, the slots were only censored in Europe.
I think it's funny that most European countries allow kids to drink alcohol but make a big fuss over gambling.

Not every regional version of HG/SS outside of Europe will have slots.
^ Austraila/New Zealand's version of HG/SS is the same deal as Europe in terms of the playability of the game corner slots: not playable...

Here's how you can determine whether slots will be playable in your country's hg/ss version: If you live in a PAL region, no playable slots. I'm not sure about SECAM, but I do know that in the NTSC region games, the slots are playable... Use this map, courtesy of Wikipedia username Akomor1, if you're not sure of where you are in terms of NTSC/PAL/SECAM:

There is a difference.
1. Dog fighting is against their will, and kept under horrid conditions, uh, not pokemon
2. Playing pokemon doesn't enspire people to do it in the real world, people won't play pokemon and go to their local retailer, buy some pokeballs and throw them at animals. Gambling however you can do that with. You can go to your local retailer buy some cards and start gambling, or if your over 18, go to your local Casino and gamble there exactly(the mechanics anyway) like in the games.
Oddly enough slots are the ONLY thing in the game i never play. I always do contests/pokethlon, battle ALL trainers, level up ALL trainers, but never play slots.
When it came to slots I just bought the tokens for prizes. I may live in canada, but if for any reason the European version came out sooner, i would purchase it as to me it's not a crucial part of the game to me and feel perfectly fine.
