I much prefer this new game to Slots.

It is much easier to win if you know what you are doing. But really, I don't think it matters very much. After all, I don't know anyone that spends more than a few hours in the game corner total. Even that is a little rare.

The voltorb flip are better, i hated the slots with a passion, and i hated the game corner in previuos games as it sucked so much.

Though this game is good, sometimes it can be fustrating, especially when you get demoted to Lv 1 from Lv 4 or something.

the slots were hard to win big on so i never really played but at least you could buy coins to get the prizes that you wanted...with this voltorb flip ive now tried a few times and i can only reach lv. 2 which does not even come close to getting me a tm so personally i really hate the change in the game corner.

Like TheFreshness, I never bothered playing with the slots. If I need something, I just bought the coins. I don't see why they had to take out the ability to buy coins. Meh.

I hate the voltorb flip. I no exactly what to do and have played 50 times. I haven't made it past level 1. I loved the slot machines, I think they were much better.

I actually like the voltorb flip, but hate it at the same time. Once you know the right strategy, you can get to level 3 at least, and get about 100 points per go (a much higher rate than the game slots in my experience), and the catch is you don't have to pay pokedollars to play. So once you get good, you can get those expensive prizes pretty fast at NO cost. However, if you're unlucky, you're pretty much screwed, because this game requires a certain degree of luck. Skill can only take you so far, but at least it takes you farther with this game than the slots or any other game corner game I've experienced. Level 6 is as far as I got.

For those who are having trouble with the game corner, hopefully part 29 of my video walkthrough helps you out on a couple of the strategies. I only cover level one though. The higher levels are going to require more thinking than I've displayed.

I don't see why they did that either. If there was one reason, maybe it would be to encourage people to actually play the games instead of buy their way to the prizes. However, if people want to burn a hole in their pocket to get the prizes for the sake of convenience (because the games are very time consuming), I don't see why they should be denied that privilege.

Does anyone know if you can exchange coins in the kanto game corner? Because that would make more sense.

I love Voltorb Flip. It's actually an engaging game. I'd go nuts trying to earn coins with a pure game of chance like slots, so I welcome the change. Being able to "buy" coins would have been nice, but the game is so much fun that I'm perfectly happy playing it to earn what I want.

Although I do not mind the Voltorb Flip game itself, the fact that you cannot buy coins defeats the whole purpose for me even visiting the Casino in HG so I have not really played it all that many times.

I'm pretty good at the Voltorb flip game but it's no fun at all after a while. I mean, i think the best I've ever done was get to level 9, but it wasn't really exciting at all, because by deduction I could tell where the right cards were.

The reason I wish they would have brought the slots back was because even if you were good if you got something like triple 7's or BARs it was a suprise and you got excited about it. Now with the voltorb game it's like "*-FLIP-* 2.. okay, still alive.. *-FLIP-* 3!! Yes, oh no.. theres one more 3, or is it two twos? Okay, I'll try this one... *-FLIP-* VOLTORB SON OF A $%@#(!!"

Honestly, this change is stupid. I don't like Sudoku, I can't stand Minesweeper - my mind is simply not made for puzzles. I lack the patience for such things. It is, frankly, boring. I don't play a game to be bored, I play it to be entertained.

Having to spend HOURS on end in order to get one friggin' TM is just ridiculous.

I hate, hate, hate Voltorb Flip. HATE IT.

I like Voltorb Flip, it's a bit of a logic puzzle that reminds me slightly of Sudoku and I find it easier to win coins from.

Gahh I dislike how unlucky I am... although I do make more money than slots. I don't see why it's a game corner since you are not losing money... and just on another note, how does the game corner make money? You can't buy any coins nor do you spend any. Ah well, back to this addicting game.

Oh yeah and I don't know if anyone has mentioned this easy way to do the voltorb flip game...

I'm pretty sure they got rid of the slots because they involved gambling. However, it taught a lesson and made it extremely hard to win and showed how hard it was to actually win the slots in real life (though they probably did not intend to do that, it was still comparable).

Now you win and not lose any money at all. What is that teaching children? Nothing bad can come out of gambling, only good?

I don't understand this stupid decision. What kind of casino only has one game anyway. Invent something else, you lazy b*******. You practically just re-created a game that, while I loved it, probably did not take that much creativity and time to develop compared to the other main adventure games in the Pokemon series. At least you could have made one more measly game. Whatever.

I love you Game Freak/Nintendo, but sometimes you don't make the brightest decisions.

I just wish they could just add more to the Game Corner... It's among my favorite hangout places in Pokemon. I can spend more than 5 hours playing there, so more games will be better

In my opinion, it's become more of a "Game Room" instead of a casino. I guess the government people didn't want kids exposed to casinos...

That game corner change was the most dumbest thing to do! I've been playing Pokemon since Red, Blue, and Yellow and I've never been attempted to gamble my life away after playing alittle at the slots in the games. plus you can't even BUY coins and it takes too long to even get a coin with this thing.

iAlthough I never played at it a lot, its not fair to those who did enjoy it. Having to take the time to plan out your next move to pick the right card is too much. It's not fun, but -_- horrible.
I really hope people start complaining pokemon about this so 5th gen. doesnt have this thing. Such nonsense. I'm still so mad...poor game corner.
