HG/SS Slots/Game Corner in ALL English games changed

Well, it was waaaaay too time-consuming to actually be able to get a TM from a slot machine (starting from scratch). But, they will definitely be missed anyway. Wasn't there a casino in Goldenrod though? The whole theme of Goldenrod was "city" so it would be just stupid to take that out. I hope it will still be there, just not functional.

OHAYWAIT, did they say anything about doing this to the North American release? *cough* import *cough*

No, it's restricted to Europe. Imports will be free from the censorship.

Oh well, I import from America anyway... But this is really stupid. Just bump up the games a bit. Just because the game say that everyone under 7 can't play doesn't mean they won't play. Goodness.

I find this to be hilarious, especially when you consider that British advertising seems to be made up of wall to wall online Bingo adverts. Seriously though whats the point? How many people do you know who attribute their gambling problems to Pokemon rather than the slot machines in the pub, arcade, loo e.t.c.

Don't worry, he rarely is funny. He just likes to nitpick everything I say or do.

F*** you.

I just noticed that PBR is 7+ for violence, so it's not like they haven't used the 7+ rating before.

I would imagine that that was because PBR is 3D, so the violence is much more obvious than in the handheld games; physical moves are actually seen to connect and many of the Pokémon have visible looks of pain on their faces when they're attacked.

At least Pokémon shows the potential consequences of gambling, unlike those damn annoying adverts. There's always at least one person in the games who seems incredibly depressed after having lost out on the slots.

But.

wth??? whats european legislature anyway? (im not what u wud call politically savvy) and wth wud it have to do with a damn video game? *facepalm* society is too crutched on blaming outside influences and forget that its a persons DECISIONS that help or hinder their life, not influences...

Legislature is the laws decreed for the land. European legislature means that it's their laws and guidelines.

It has to do with video games because it's a national guideline, and not adhering to it can result in anything from warnings to fines to banning. This decision was probably made to avoid a fine for 'marketing gambling to an underaged audience'. It's not to say that it's sensible, but it's the law, and they have to abide by it.

Bleck.

I don't know why this upsets me so much, I mean, I don't even live in Europe, and I don't play the slots.

I was upset in Firered and Leafgreen when they changed 'Gambler' to 'Gamer.' But this, I think, is another one of their little hissy fits, just like how watching the animae would make us all go up really high towers and shoot nuns.

You freakin' idiot. Britain, as with all the United Kingdom is a member of the European Union, and is a country in the continent known as Europe.

Funny, I never thought people actually played the slots to get actual coins for prizes.

I always buy coins out of pocket to purchase whatever pokemon/TM/Doll I am interested in the game corner.

huh.
