Hic Sunt Dracones

Hello, I'm Eliteknight. It has been a long time since i have posted a RMT so since Gen 5 is drawing to a close i thought i would post a RMT of one of my favourite team to use in this current metagame. This is a rain team, and based off the title a mono-dragon team. This team focuses on setting up hazards and then attempting to steamroll over the opposition ustilizing scarfed keldeo and Kyurem-B. This team as said prior is mono dragon i would prefer to keep it that way. But if i have to i will adjust it away from the mono dragon style.

Politoed (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast

Toed, The bringer of the rain. Toed mainly serves as a weather changer as he was designed to and as a tank when the opponent will obvioulsy be switching. Hidden Power grass, Prevents gastro from walling me to hell and back. Hydro Pump, the primary stab which can inflict massive damage vs many mons in OU. Ice beam to deal with grass types and dragons. Focus blast is to slam ferrothorn and other steels for a ton of damage well that is if it ever hits

252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Hidden Power Grass vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Jellicent: 186-220 (46.15 - 54.59%) -- 98.83% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 16 HP / 252 SAtk / 240 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind
- Hidden Power [Ghost]
- Secret Sword

Keldeo, one of my main sweepers. This thing is a force to be wreakoned with. Hydro pump, stab and rain boosted is threatening for most pokemon just to switch into. Icy wind slows dragons but lacks the power of Hp Ice to finish the job at times. HP Ghost is used to prevent me from being walled by Jellicent. Secret sword, is the secondary stab which can easily eliminate rocks, steels, blissey.

252 SpA Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Kyurem-B: 276-326 (70.58 - 83.37%) -- 68.75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Keldeo Hidden Power Ghost vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Jellicent: 146-172 (36.22 - 42.67%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Kyurem-B @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fusion Bolt
- Outrage
- Ice beam
- Dragon claw

Kyurem, is a powerhouse able to crush many mons easily and effectivly with his brute force. Fusion bolt, wreaks most waters and mons that dont resist it. Outrage is for stab to crush through resistance of any non-steel type. Ice beam to eliminate grass types. Dragon claw as an alternative for outrage so i dont have to be locked into it allowing my opponent to set up hazards or stat boosts.

252 Atk Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Celebi: 240-283 (59.4 - 70.04%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after stealth rock
252 Atk Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Jellicent: 240-284 (59.55 - 70.47%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock252 Atk Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Blissey: 475-559 (72.85 - 85.73%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Forretress (M) @ Custap Berry
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spe)
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]/Explosion

Forretress is usually my lead. If the opposing team has no spinner i will send it out everytime, using their lack of a spinner to my advantage i set up 2 layers of spikes or if im lucky 3, Hp fire and Explosion i change depending on how i feel, usually i dont use either as i just lay down the spikes and then try to leave forre alive to keep him for spinning. Rapid spin is because opposing teams will try to use rocks to weaken my team. Volt switch to safely switch out while providing switch advantage.

Dragonite (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Roost
- Substitute

Set credits to Sucka_Punch, This dragonite is for the suprise factor. Hurricane, Is to remove fighting and grass types while abusing rain and stab. Thunder is to remove water types trying to abuse the rain aswell as having a decent chance of para. Roost is to help D-nite stay healthy. Substitue, removes the worry about status and allows d-nite to stay in vs mons that could deal a ton of damage against it. The combination of hurricane and thunder allow dragonite to semi abuse parafusion. Although outside of rain it is utterly useless.

252 SpA Dragonite Thunder vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Jellicent: 208-246 (51.61 - 61.04%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Dragonite Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 236+ SpD Celebi: 240-284 (59.4 - 70.29%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Dragonite Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 0- SpD Landorus-T: 220-259 (57.74 - 67.97%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Dragonite Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 208 SpD Ferrothorn: 121-144 (34.37 - 40.9%) -- 99.61% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Dragonite Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Forretress: 160-190 (45.19 - 53.67%) -- 96.09% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Garchomp (M) @ Yache Berry
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 hp
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

Another possible lead on this team, Chomp is used to set up rocks then steamroll as much as he can. Rocks is self explainetory. Outrage is to deal a chunk of damage to whatever switches in. Earthquake is to ruin steels end of story. Swords dance is to allow chomp to become more of a sweeper.

+2 252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 48+ Def Ferrothorn: 226-267 (64.2 - 75.85%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

I'd suggest running focus miss or Psychic on Politoed instead of Perish Song. Most set up sweepers will outspeed and ohko poli. The only way Perish song on a choice set is useful is if you run scarf, which would ruin poli's hole-punching capabilities.

Also, SR or Toxic Spikes on Forretress over Explosion or HP fire would be good, to get up extra hazards or to free up space for another attack on chomp.

If you run SR on forry, I would suggest Aqua Tail on Garchomp because of psuedo-stab that it gets from rain and it's abillity to hit bulky grounds or balloon steels hard, especilaly hippo or Gliscor, before they can Ice Fang.

One final edit is that you might want to / in Surf somewhere on that dragonite. It would help greatly vs CB terrak assuming full HP (which seems likely to take a poke down whenever it comes it at this point) it would also help vs the likes of Gliscor, Hippowdon, and Lando-T.

1) Yes i agree i rarly use perish song anyways so i should change that.
2) I see what your getting at ill try this out because i feel Chomp is a strong asset that i dont use enough
3) Sub-Roost has saved me severa times but i will also try this as it allows d-nite to not be utterly useless in the rain

Hey I'm done with the calcs and as I said I'm posting the pokemon that I think could hurt you the most.

Latios.Whether it runs Specs,Scarf or Life Orb it can OHKO/2HKO your entire team.

252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Forretress: 222-263 (62.71 - 74.29%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 298-351 (92.26 - 108.66%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Politoed: 298-351 (77.6 - 91.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Latios Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Politoed: 166-196 (43.22 - 51.04%) -- 98.05% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Politoed: 229-270 (59.63 - 70.31%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Latios Surf vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Forretress in rain: 234-276 (66.1 - 77.96%)
252 SpA Latios Psyshock vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Keldeo: 288-338 (88.88 - 104.32%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Well.....You could use Specially Defensive Jirachi to stop Latios but that wouldn't fit the team too well I think.CB Scizor to Pursuit or hurt Latios badly with Bullet Punch could work but that would require you getting rid of a crucial pokemon for the team.
In short all I'm really saying is you should watch out for latios as it can do massive damage to you(unless the guy using it let's it die because he couldn't a Scarfed Keldeo coming or something like that )

Sparkbeat

FLASH! AAAHHHAAA!
Just a nitpick, but Surf does not OHKO CB Terrakion without rain up, so if anything I'd try Superpower if that's really such a thread. Otherwise I'd just use E-speed if anything. By the way solid team EK, but rain/drag teams are really not my forte so I don't have much to say besides Latios does look like a threat, and you could maybe try a Scizor over Forre, since the team will still function well with Rocks as the only hazard.

When i face latios and it isnt scarfed Kyurem will easily OHKO with Outrage. Should it be scarfed and forced into draco its spa drop would allow me to defeat it using one of my other sweepers. However this is a valid concern so ill be keeping this in mind.

Hmm ill test this as scizor would add even more offensive pressure to this team and yea SR is the main hazard anyways ill test this idea then ill update.

Also Focus Miss has been added of Perish song on toed
