Silver
Mauville City

Silver had had an easy journey. Unlike so many others that he had embarked upon, nothing of importance had happened. He chuckled to himself as he walked north along a thin trail of rock from the rocks just north of Mauville. He knew how precarious his position was, walking along a bumpy but flat beam of rock, only about six inches wide. However, he also knew this would be an exceedingly easy way to reach Regirock's cavern that would take an hour at most, compared to the several hours he had taken the first time.

He had underestimated, arriving at the edge near the cavern within fifteen minutes. He stepped forwards, and slid down the rocky edge, dislodging several rocks as he went. He flapped his cloak as he landed on the sand. He remembered when he had first made the cloak, designed as a simple travelling cloak that soon had arms made for it to be used as a type of gown.

He stepped forwards cautiously and looked around, in case some of Team Chaos were watching. Deciding the coast was clear, he walked to the rock jutting out of the ground, and tapped its flat face. It slid open with a rumble, and Silver strode inside.

The cavern was as usual, save for the absence of Regirock and a strange new stone inside the cave. It had blue writing on it, in the language of stone. Under the sea of Hoenn, under the reef of Lilycove; Over the layer of st. The rock had been split and the bottom half taken. He instantly realised one thing. The sea level had risen dramatically, and this was describing something that legendaries had searched for for eons.

The Hall of Memories.

Mensa and Cresselia
The Hall of Memories

They landed inside a massive, nearly spherical, save for the flat floor, room. Mensa was about to be angry at Cresselia, when he saw the walls The walls were drawn on; massive depictions of many things. He could see a great number of eggs, all of a different colour, in a ring around Arceus on the roof. The eggs all had a picture of a small baby underneath them, all with an abnormality or two. Underneath that were edifices that Mensa truly recognised. Him and his siblings, all 14 years old and human. The walls from that point onward was on top of a massive temple-like structure - Myth Pillar. The next picture, penultimate to the ground, were images of the Hidden Ones as evolved Pokemon.

The next ring was irregular. Only himself, Kane, Violet, Velen and Lucio had pictures on that ring. Of their beast formes. The rest of them were lit up by a circle of gold behind them, save for his. He knew this meant they were still beasts. He then looked at Cresselia.

"I am sure you see something different to me. I see myself and Darkrai on these walls. But I know you see the same as your siblings will." Cresselia said softly. "Go to your picture on the lowest ring. The door will open."

Mensa did as she instructed. As soon as he was within about five feet of his picture, an oval-shaped door slid down into the ground, and Cresselia disappeared. He breathed in, closed his eyes, and walked into the doorway.

There was no movement in the sky, or anywhere for a moment, save for hearing Velen's footsteps as he moved away. For a moment, Nova wished she was telepathic, so she could send a message to Reshiram, begging him to help her. But she wasn't, so she would have to think of another way to make sure Lucio was safe.

As her mind whirled, trying to come up with a good idea, the question was answered for her. The Bee that she was still clinging to glowed light green with bug energy, and the fainted bees around it swirled around her, before touching the Queen Bee and joining with it, disappearing completely. Nova stared at Lucio in shock, then frowned. Not all of the bees had joined with the Queen Bee. She remembered that during the battle between the two of them, some of the bees had dropped down, dead, when Lucio got hit. The ones that were still on the ground certainly seemed to be dead, some having been ripped in half, others torn and bloodied. It was slightly disturbing to know that those were pieces of her brother, laying on the ground there.

But, she reasoned, now that the bugs had merged, it would be far easier to carry Lucio. However, she didn't really want to put him in the firing line for Velen, when she had to comfront him. She took off her cloak, and quickly fashioned a sort of bag from the black material, and slipped Lucio into it, making sure he couldn't fall out easily. Then, she took off into the sky, soaring after Velen.

Her stomach seemed to have a million butterflies within it as she got closer to the gigantic, scorpion like Pokemon that was her brother. His movement seemed to be slightly hampered, so perhaps her Thunder Wave had taken effect. Nova noticed she was flying slightly slower than she would normally, and she forced herself to speed up. She didn't want want to have to battle Velen, knowing the damage she'd already caused him mentally. But, as she'd been the one who'd hurt him, it was only right that she fixed it.

"Velen!" She yelled out, before dropping down out of the sky to hover in front of him. "I'm the one you're truely mad at, right?! I'm the one who caused the explosion, to kill those Chaos Grunts. So, instead of taking out your anger on the people of Lilycove City, why don't to get revenge on the one you really want to harm?!" Nova took a defensive stance, fire dancing at her fingertips as she harded her heart to the damage she was about to inflict upon Velen.

Hall of Memories - Vision Room

As Mensa emerged into the new room, he saw many disc-shaped bit of glass on shelves all around the bright white room. He walked to the left, to a shelf of pure gold, unlike all of the other shelves, of a deep sea blue.

As he came near to the shelves, he saw Cresselia, looking at a disc.
"What are those discs?" Mensa asked.
"Vision plates. Each one belongs to a different person. You can see what they see through their eyes in the present, or you can command them to show past events." Cresselia replied. "Many of us take ours away, to stop others from seeing what we have seen. This shelf here is the Shelf of Legends. Only we Legendaries have discs here. See those completely gold discs at the top there?" she pointed to the top of the shelf. "Those are Arceus' discs. They're inaccessible to all. Even himself. Have a look at you and your siblings' discs. See what they're doing."

Mensa walked over to a shelf labelled 'Hidden Ones'. He looked down and saw his plate, showing himself looking at his plate. He chuckled a bit before looking at everyone else's. He saw Nova holding a bee, Velen flying, still in beast form, Bo was in a massive, frozen base, Silver was leaving a cave, and Lucio's showed darkness. Mensa then became scared for his brother. He took his own plate, and it sank into his arm, past his psychic hand. He looked at Cresselia, who was floating towards a doorway at the end of the room. Mensa ran over to her, and the entered the next room together.

Silver
Regirock's Cavern

Silver was having a dilemma. He knew where the Hall of Memories was, somewhere near the sea bed, but he didn't know how to get there. He ran from the cave, and looked around through the sandstorm. By the entrance, a rock, inscribed like the one inside the cave, sat being battered by the sandstorm. Silver took it up, and read it. -one on the floor, through the tunnel near the seafloor of Mauville. It read. Then it hit Silver.

He ran to the cliff-face, and climbed to the top. He had seen it before, a small hole circled with rocks near here. He ran to his left, and slid down to the thin bit on land down there. He turned to face the wall, and there it was. A tunnel, with rocks around its entrance. With a hasty glance around, Silver jumped into the tunnel.

Venomoth was wrecked. As she watched Lucio fall protecting his sister, her eyes began to swim with tears, and as he fell, she slowed down until she was at normal speed and power once more. After all, the effects of a Quiver Dance only lasted until one's opponent fainted or fled, and Lucillo had done neither until now!

As Nova sped up to combat the menace, Dr. Gray nodded at Venomoth, and she dashed up to the fire girl. As they were both Pokemon, they could communicate (as should be clearly obvious to all).

"Get out of the way, child of flames," said Venomoth, her voice no longer frivolous, but instead hardened. "Your protection is of the utmost priority to both the natural world and Dr. Gray. Thus, we cannot allow you to be hurt as Lucillo has. Stay nearby, but stay out." Not caring if her words had been heeded or indeed heard, she turned towards the laboratory and whistled piercingly.

Several Pokemon rushed out of the gaping hole in the ceiling, coming to Venomoth's aid as she confronted Brutalion. Pupitar, Magneton, and (in a flash of light) Zweilous gathered around her, and a shadow swooping above him told Dr. Gray that Noctowl was prepared.

"Give it the Metal Sound strategy!" he yelled, focusing on the battle at hand. "This is going to be your greatest battle yet!"

~><~><~

Beldum whispered through the forest, unsure of how he had arrived. It seemed as though only a moment before, he had been fighting the- oh, there they were. He had somehow wandered off from the city where the titans were clashing. But it was so peaceful here, Beldum had no wish to go back to the chaos of Dr. Gray's employ, and thus preferred to stay in the piece and quiet of the shady grove. A low, metallic scraping caught his attention and he wheeled, turning to observe the new arrival.

Another Beldum had entered the clearing, shyly moving closer to Beldum in a tentative embrace. Beldum's mechanical heart began to beat faster as she (for the other Beldum was, in fact, one that preferred to be called a female) made contact, and then they were dancing in a ritual process that neither of them knew they knew, coming closer and closer together until their eyes met and turned outwards...

~><~><~

Violet was mad. Her sense of direction had been skewed by the sounds of battle emanating from every which way, echoing around the countryside. She could hear Brutalion and the Hidden One formerly known as Lucio fighting from everywhere thanks to her heightened senses and the confusing layout of the city (lots of echoey buildings and excess sounds)! So it was really no surprise when she found herself lost, deep in the forest. Looking dimly through the bright sunshine of the daytime, she finally saw the city and what looked to her like a painfully bright flare flying up to confront the titan Brutalion. With a low growl escaping her enormous maw, she hovered a bit before whooshing eerily towards the purple scorpion guy. As she grew closer, her rage built, and she let out a ferocious, fear-inducing Roar as she entered the fray.

For it was truly the fight of the gods now.

Hall of Memories - Senses Room

As they entered, they were dazed by the room beyond. Instead of cave-like and old, this room was highly colourful, and had faint sounds emanating from nearly everywhere. There were shelves again, just like the last room, but were more colourful, and there were more of them. On these shelves were many multicoloured things: Headphones, Incenses, Tablets and little tubes of food.

"Each shelf belongs to someone" Said Cresselia. "The items are the other of the five main senses, vision excluded. Come." She began to walk to a Purple one, marked with a full moon.

This new shelf was enormous, larger than most of the others. Cresselia picked up a tube and looked at Mensa.
"These are tastes. It replenishes itself of the pastilles so that tastes can be re-tasted." she said. She picked up a set of headphones. "These are sound recorders. Simply put them on and all of the sounds of the person's life can be played. However, it only plays sounds. Never speech."

Cresselia put the headphones down and picked up an Incense candle, and it burned. A nice scent, like grass, wafted around the shelf.
"Smell. Merely touching them sends out scents." Cresselia said. "As you guessed, the tablets are for touching. They're well textured, but some of mine are a bit unpleasant. You may be extremely gifted with Psychic powers, but there's a chance that a tablet could contain something of Darkrai. It's not safe."

Cresselia floated to the door, and looked back at Mensa, who was still standing there, looking at the shelf next to Cresselia's. It was massive, nearly as big as Cresselia's, but completely empty and black.

"Come on, Mensa." She hissed. "We need to make progress. That's his shelf. He could attack from it any second. We need to go."

Needing no further warning to be moved on, Mensa hurried to Cresselia and went through yet another doorway.

Getting out of this stupid prison

The six remaining individuals glanced at each other.

"So..." began Adam, "Are we going?"

"Yeah, we ought to get out." Agreed CyberAdam, looking to his counterpart. "Chaos is going to be coming."

Both Adams then glanced at the two humans, Tate and Liza. "You guys are psychic, right?" asked the Hidden Ones in unison.

"Yeah," began Tate, "we can do some little things..."

"Like reading each other's minds..." continued Liza

"But not much." Finished Tate.

Suffice to say, the Adams were convinced.

Then Registeel began to speek in a deep, rumbling voice. "Hrm hum. Nothing for leaving, nothing to do... unless ... no..."

All four children had nothing to say as the Legendary went into some inner monologue. Being stuck in a cave did things to you... wait, a cave...
Adam spoke up "We could go to the Ancient Tomb."

Registeel was broken from his musings, fixing his emotionless gaze on his younger kin. "But how do we get there, hrum? None of us could swim across the sea.

"Can't we help?" Asked the twin's father who, like Registeel, had kept to his own thoughts.

"Yes... no... maybe..." murmured Adam, not exactly sure what to do. His mechanical counterpart had left the conversation entirely, gazing out the hole his crash had created to the cloudy sky outside. Whatever Reshiram had done surely failed to last long.

"Can you teleport?" asked Registeel to Tate and Liza. The twins instinctively reached to their pockets for Pokeballs now confiscated.

"Sorry, our Pokemon..." began Tate

"Were taken" added Liza

"And we can't do it on our own"

"So now we're hosed."

Adam frowned. This was going nowhere fast, and more Chaos grunts could come any minute. The group would have to hide on the island.

Bo, Child of Frost
Lilycove

The savage roar echoing through the base chilled even the bones of the young ice god. Violet had somehow suddenly decided to wake up and join the fight outside. Bo had no such inclination to battle his own kin. Let the fools deal with their own issues; they could go see him when they finished.

Bo coldly turned and headed for the exit. As he walked along the glacier-encrusted corridors, he noticed the quick sideways glances of a handful of ice-types. He could sense their feelings, a mix of fear, awe, guilt...

CRUNCH. Bo looked down at the thing at his feet and jumped back. A frozen corpse of a clone lay there, its frosty coffin cracking.

At that moment there came a gasp and crackling from the presumed corpse as it attempted to roll over, looking the being who brought it so close to death.

"Pain...cold..." gasped the wretch.

Bo glared at the thing at his feet for a moment before proceeding past it indifferently. The bastard could die in the cold.

The harshness of the thought immediately surprised Bo, forcing him to look back for a split second. But no, the man earned his fate.

------

Going onward, Bo exited the compound, glancing across the city half in ruins. The fighting was on the other side of the base, but Bo was going the other way, towards the bay. He just wanted a moment to think to himself away from the others. He then glanced at the sea as it came into view... did it seem a bit deeper than usual? He had never been to Lilycove before, but he could definitely tell that some things were not positioned right in relation to the beach, at least what beach there was.

Brutalion

Marching to the city of Lilycove, Brutalions thought that no one at this point to stop him. He was no free to take his revenge on the world, he wanted to stop the violence and let humans live in peace. Unfortunately, this was Velen's philosophy and in the darkness that was Brutalion, he could do nothing to stop its rampage.

Suddenly, the scorpion could hear an spark of electricity head straight for him. The attack hit but with a weaker force than he had expected. Still, it seemed harder to move, as if with every step, he was lifting a 500 pound weight. Slowly, the monster turned to find a similar figure flying towards him. His eyes widened as he saw who it was.

She shouted at him with a name that seemed unfamiliar to the monster but all so familiar to the person inside the monster. Both of these entities inside this abnormal body however had the same goal, the same objective, to destroy the one who traumetized him, who killed all of those innocent people.

Brutalion looked at Nova with a ficious look, blood boiling, eyes bright red, limbs trembling, he wanted nothing more than to kill her on the spot. Something stopped him, a familiar touch on one of his left legs, a soft touch that had always given him comfort. A Venemoth appeared with a couple of other pokemon but Brutalion wasn't paying attention, a part of Velen had come back from the darkness. No matter how much Brutalion tried, he could not kill any of them right then and there. Instead, Velen's curiousity as to who that touch could be took him over.

As the Pokemon were preparing for an attack, Brutalion could sense a powerful presence swiftly arriving at the battle. The scorpion squinted his eyes at the figure that was quickly arriving from the base. He then saw the figure attack and the monster's eyes widened as he slowly tried to protect himself. It was to no avail though as he flew back, doing a backflip and then landing on his back.

He struggled to push his tail on the ground to flip himself over and when he finally did he saw something out of the corner of his eye. A small green pokemon, passed out and with bruises over it's body. Brutalions entire body froze, not from the Thunder Wave but from the realization of who it was. The scorpions blood red eyes of rage turned into Velen's curious and sad snake eyes. A tear escaped from the cornea and the monster forced it's eyes closed. It then opened it's eyes and Brutalion's eyes were back, even more rage than before. The amount of anger in his body was boiling the very poison within him as it seeped out through his pores.

With a loud and vicious roar, the poison united in his body and then gushed out, forming a giant tidal wave.

"SLUDGE WAVE!"

The heaping amount of poison aimed directly at his opponents at a maximum altitude of 30 feet. Unbeknownst to him though, the Sludge wave took all of his strength, leaving him on the brink of passing out.

Nova, Child of Heat

Her Thunder Wave connected with Velen on his side, and suddenly he seemed to be slower than before. Nova would have smiled with satifaction, had this not have been her brother she was fighting here. The sound of wings made Nova turn her head, as faint as the sound was, and she spotted a Venomoth, flying towards her.

"Get out of the way, child of flames," She said, her voice hard. "Your protection is of the utmost priority to both the natural world and Dr. Gray. Thus, we cannot allow you to be hurt as Lucillo has. Stay nearby, but stay out."

Dr Gray must have been the scientist from before. How did he know what I am? We - me and my siblings - only revealed ourselves to the world recently. She realised, before she frowned, and spoke. "Sorry sister, but the mental state Velen is in right now is my fault, so I feel honor bound to try and fix his situation."

She yelped as she heard Velen scream out something that sounded like 'Sludge Wave', before hurling a wave of toxic, burning waste towards the group of them. Instinctivly, she grabbed the Venomoth quickly, and dived to where Dr Grey and most of his Pokemon were, using Psychic to bring the Noctowl over as quickly as she could.

"Protect!" She cried, and a orange force field appeared at the tips of her outstretched fingers, trying to shield them all from the harm of the wave, just at the last second. The protective shield had sprung into life though after it - the Sludge Wave - had hit her hand, and she flinched, biting her lip in pain. But she didn't waver. Reshiram's lessons hurt more.

When the wave of acid had passed, Nova hurled a ball of pure light into the sky, making it hotter, sunnier and making her more powerful. She flew up, wings blazing, before creating a large fiery star with her magic. It hovered in the air before her, before she dismissed it with a flick of her hand, sending it hurling towards Velen.

I'd better find a way to let Velen regain his senses quickly after he faints, or he's going to murder me when he recovers.

Hall of Memories - Memory Room

As the Psychic duo emerged into the next room, Mensa began to slow down. Cresselia kept floating, until she disappeared between two of the sky-blue shelves. Multicoloured and labelled orbs were all floating on these shelves, one to each row. Mensa looked around in awe of the room, whose walls showed many images of the land. Mensa was watching the sea crash against Mossdeep on the wall to his left, when he was turned to a set of 17 golden shelves, all with an orb at shoulder height, an orb behind a coloured door, and a completely white orb spinning at the top of the shelf.

Mensa looked at the nearest shelf, with fiery red orbs on the shelf. He knew this was Nova's orb, so he picked it up. Instantly, he was in Nova's place, but simply watching from her perspective. He saw her avoiding a massive wave of sludge, sent from a now beastly Velen. Mensa instinctively dropped the orb, which flew up to shoulder height, moved back into the shelf and set itself down softly. Just as it set down, Cresselia emerged from between a pair of shelves.

"I trust you know what these are, Mensa?" Cresselia asked.
"They're Memory Orbs, aren't they?" Mensa replied.
"Yes, they are."
"What about those transparent boxes? What are the orbs in them?"
"They are, legend has it, the orbs of finding. They will show you two things you need to master being a god, and whatever you need to see the light."
"And those white ones?"
"They are Arceus' orbs. You need to have proved yourself to access them. All of us who are given access here have one. That's why we try to return here. To see if we have proven ourselves worthy. Legend tells that they show all of Arceus', and the person's whose shelf the orb is on, memories, bereft of bias."

Mensa walked to his shelf (with the ethereal purple orb) and spoke again.
"Can we try and access the boxed ones?" he asked.
"Best if you take the time to look at other shelves first. They can show you all of eternity. And they will take you all of eternity to see. I suggest you seek a Guardian." Cresselia replied.
"A Guardian?"
"They are the oldest, wisest and most powerful Pokemon of their kind of all time. The seventeen of them each choose who to show. You, even though your power is not that refined, could defeat them, however. Call yours. Simply ask."
"Ask?"
"Yes. Just call for your Guardian."

Mensa walked to the centre of the isle, and called for a Guardian. Nothing happened. Mensa called again, then saw a figure in the distance, moving incredibly fast. Mensa squinted, and saw the Pokemon. The Guardian stopped just in front of Mensa, and spoke.

"Welcome to the Memory Room." spoke the Lucario. "Have you any queries?"

Llllllet's get ready to rrrumble!

The Hell Hound glared at the scorpio before her. Something compelled her to battle him. She opened her black wings to take flight, but their movements were hindered by the remnants of her blackpack. She turned her head and tore the scraps of fabric off of her back with her teeth. In an explosion of maps, books and a few potions, a Spooky plate was flung into her face. In a blink of an eye, the plate dissappeared into her skin. She shrugged it off though, for now she could enter the skies.

She lost sight of her scorpio prey due to the bag hindering her. It took her a while to find its trail, even from the skies. But as she found the scent of poison... She found the scent of cinders as well. Irrelevant, she sneered. The scorpio was what she was after.

The Hell Hound folded her wings against her body and swooped to almost an inch off the ground in a ferocious charge. She saw her prey an instantaniously shot a Shadow Ball into his back. She then tackled the creature to the ground and wrapped her tail around its neck. As much as she wanted to devour it, she new better than to eat a poisonous creature. Still, she snarled incoherently into his face, ignoring the heatradiating creature in the area.

Tunnel under the sea. Somewhere.

Silver was still in the tunnel, in a worse mood than when he began. He had used Rock Polish several hundred times to no avail; the tunnel twisted and turned when he needed it not to and vice versa. By the time he had reached the halfway point (he was rather tired and about to go to sleep at the time), he had been travelling for 3 days. Annoyed was an understatement.

Mensa
Hall of Memories - Memory room

"Yes, I do." began Mensa. "How can we access those boxes?" he said, gesturing to the one he assumed was his.

Lucario walked towards the box, and inspected it. "Mensa, yes?" he spoke.

"Yes, I am." Mensa replied.

"The key is you. You all have some sort of variable element, or at least some type of object on you that you can change. Use the Psychic cloud around your ex-hands. If you cannot see, enter the Psychic Realm. Shape the cloud into the first type of key you can remember, and slot it into the door. Then the orb shall be yours." Lucario advised.

Mensa looked at the purple orb of Psychic energy around his hand, and willed it into the shape of his old door key. Within seconds, it was an exact copy, although it was insubstantial and purple. He put the key into the mini door, and turned it clockwise. The door clicked, and the orb of his hand returned into the Psychic orb it was.

"Go, open it." said Cresselia. "Hold the orb and watch carefully for your location. The gem and plate you need to master your bestial form. The key to mastery is unattainable as of now. Hurry!"

Mensa opened the door, and picked up the orb. He instantly left where he was, and saw darkness.
