hidden power

i have read about hidden power in the attackdex, but i have no idea how you make the move differemt types, with many people saying 'hidden power (grass, dark, etc)

please explain hidden power to me

Hidden Power's type and power is based on the pokemons IV's. An explanation for IV's can be found here: http://serebii.net/games/ivs.shtml. Hidden Power can be any type except Normal and its power can range from 30 to 70. Note that once you get a pokemon, you can't change it's IVs.
