Anyways, the show's pretty legit. Haven't gotten around to the manga yet. I doubt I will though, but i'd appreciate less fanservice and more zombies.

I watched the anime and despite the whole fan service stuff I kinda liked it, but I didn't like how the story progressed. It started out promising with the zombie attack at the school and the death of the main character's friend, but became more and more irrelevant with each episode.

The OVA though was very weak and too obscure in my opinion. 20 minutes of fan service and a drug trip don't make a good "bonus episode"...

He never said a new season was being, all that he said from that is that a new season COULD be made. And even if it is made, it's definetly not coming out for at least a year(if work on it had already begun it's likely the person being interviewed would have said so), certainly not in the coming weeks as you'd been duked into thinking.

I've kinda given up on this year anyway :L but I can see there being a new season maybe next June-ish

HOTD is one of my favorite manga. It's a crying shame about the indefinite hiatus. Is the anime worth it? I usually don't bother with anime based off of manga, because I never enjoy it as much, and on occasion the plot gets butchered (see: Full Metal Alchemist).

There isn't much along the same lines either, besides Cradle of Monsters. Which, is amazing, by the way.

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure there aren't any forthcoming seasons, because of the manga being on hiatus. I could be wrong, of course.

Making progress
HOTD is a great anime. The fan service never really bothered me. Though it was one of those shows that start off amazing, and then begin to decline towards the las episodes.
