I keep seeing people say that Hikozaru has Fire on it's rear. From what can be seen, that very well could just be his hand encased in fire. Is this possible that he'll learn Fire Punch by leveling up then?
It's also possible that his hand/butt is permanently encased in fire, rather than him just using an attack, like Charmander's fire on his tail, or Cyndaquil's fire on his back.
My Questions to the forum goers.
1. Do you think the flame is on his hand, or his butt?
2. Do you think that Hikozaru will learn Fire Punch and/or Flame Fang by leveling up?
3. Do you think that the flame shown on Hikozaru is part of him using an attack like Fire Punch, a permanent flame such as Charmander's tail, or a fire that can be manipulated at will like Cyndaquil's back?
4. Do you think the flame will be part of his image on his sprite?
5. Do you think the flame will be consistent and appear on later forms of his evolution aswell? (Ex. Do you think his final form will show fire on his hand or other parts of his body such as his head or neck?)
I personally think the flame is on his hand and not his butt, which is source for a lot of ridicule on this starter on these boards. I also think it's very likely that Hikozaru will learn Fire Punch by leveling up, and somewhat divided on whether or not he may be able to learn Flame Fang. Although I think its possible for him to learn it, if his second form features a baboon with sharp fangs, I'm not sure if GF would also include Flame Fang whether it be for exclusiveness of the attack, or if Fire Punch already does what Flame Fang can do. I also believe the Sugimori art of Hikozaru with the flame is Hikozaru's ability to manipulate fire at his hands like Cyndaquil can with his back. I do think the fire will appear in Hikozaru's sprite, as in the small picture, he's seen in the same pose as the Sugimori art, and I also think it's highly probable for a fire to appear in each of his evolutions. The Charmander line had a fire on the tail, the Cyndaquil line had a fire on the back/neck, and the Torchic line had a fire only on Blaziken's arms. 7/9 of the fire starter lines included a fire in their appearance, so I think it's very possible that Hikozaru will feature a flame somewhere on his body throughtout his forms.
