Hipocrites

Jessie and James are so stupid in my opinion. Whenever it the threat of their pokemon being stolen or captured arises, they become totally emotional, but barely give a second thought to stealing someone else's pokemon. It's like they think their pokemon are the only ones that matter, because they're not as evil as they use to be.

Does anyone else often feel angry when J&J plan to steal someone else's pokemon sometimes?

No they are great but they are villians so it's impossible for them to succeed.

I only feel mad when they interupt a certain scene that I'm enjoying. As long as they don't kill an emotional moment I won't really pay much attention to them.

Jessie and James try to steal pokemon in every single episode, not just sometimes. Or are you asking do we get angry sometimes? Yeah, when they interupt the a certain scene I do get pretty angry.

How are they essential to the show? They could be replaced with any kind of antagonist.

without them the world of pokemon would be all pure and unbalanced, they are deeper than Satochi-tachi because they have suffered real pain and suffering and he has not. They love there pokemon, like ash loves his, but they are just tryong to do there job

Then let's bring in a real villian that makes Ash suffer. Ash doesn't suffer because these fools can't threaten a mosquito.

Dude, their villains. Hypocrisy is in their job descriptions.
No, no. I mean, they seem to treat their pokemon like they're the only pokemon in the world with actual feelings, then see other people's as quick was to make money or give to Giovanni as "presents".

What about the fact Ash and the others get mad when TR try to catch wild Pokemon when they do the same thing? That's hypocritical as well.

Anyways, stealing others' Pokemon is TR's job so they do it. Having their Pokemon stolen isn't their job so they can get annoyed when it happens.

Team Rocket does it in an unfair way and doesn't use a poke ball. That being said, I don't understand why Team Rocket is always getting beat up by a group of kids. We've already seen that they(the twerps) don't stand a chance against them physically, so Team Rocket should forget about the pokemon and do an all-out assualt. That wouldn't be good for the young children watching though....

What? As if they could even hit Ash physically. They'd still, ultimately, get electrifried by Pikachu then smashed away with the amazing 'exploding' Iron Tail attack. And anyway, why is everyone so desperate for emotional scenes? Emo is bad. >:

The majority of villains are hypocrites. And although JJ& M can get stale, they're funny at times. And they're not leaving.

Do you realise what the hell you're saying? Team Rocket, in 90% of all episodes, is the ENTIRE antagonistic plot line of the episode. And, they always do they same damned thing all the time. I don't know why you even watch Pokemon if you can't deal with them being the enemies. Pokemon is a kids' show, you have to realise the characters are poorly developed and have to follow specific, static personality traits. I don't deny they're not annoying, but they're only annoying because they do the same thing over and over again. You can't complain about lack of ethics or morals in this show, because like I said, it's poorly developed and a load of crap anyways. To complain about it is like suggesting a kids' show to have romance in it.

Villains or not, they're gonna give a damn if their own Pokemon are taken away or leave. They see their Pokemon as their partners in crime and their way of helping them pull off the crimes.

If they were really hypocrites, they would say that it's wrong to take others' Pokemon when they're in the midst of attempting to steal others' Pokemon. Instead, they're way of doing it is "only we're allowed to do and we're not letting you do it to us."

THAT'S what I was saying. They treat their own pokemon as equals (more or less) and all other pokemon as things.

Not all the time. Ask Sonansu how it's been treated. :p

Okay, this show is 75% lifeless fillers (excluding BF arc), and we only get a microscopic amount of character development. That's why emotion is so important. It gives the characters personalities and flaws. Besides Pokemon battles, that's also an important aspect of entertainment.
