And just for your your information every time you get the shell bell the next time the tide is low you have to talk to th old man so you will find shoal salt (not sure if this is its name )again.

Nightdawn, I think you're confused about the clock. When you set the clock at the beginning of the game, you are LITERALLY setting the clock. Every time you check a clock in the game, it will tell you the same time (roughly) as your own watch would say if you look at it. There is no such thing as a "separate" game time. If you go to sleep in the game (like to heal pokes) it won't change what time it is in the game. Only actually earth time passing will change the time in the game. I hope that's clear.
