Hmongboy337's New Generation of Pokemon

Northern Lights

These drawing aren't that bad, but they are all VERY static - by this i mean, they seem incredible 2D and their poses don't look as if you've really thought about them too much, they're quite stiff looking and blocky in some cases, most of them are in profile view.

Profile views really doesn't give that much charcater to a drawing, only adding to their 2D look, i suggest you try experimenting with 3/4 view, this is imbetween profile and face on.

Another thing, i find with most pencil sketches i encounter, is that when you colour them in, you don't fill them in enough, leaving white speckles of the paper underneath, make the colours fuller and brighter so they don't look so dull or "unfinished" in appearance. Also, when you do colour them in emphasise the shading, this will help build them up into more 3D drawings, but make sure you get the light source constant.

Other than that, that's my critique done with i think, just some stuff for you to think about and improve.

Ah scanners, the blighters, do you have any editing programs? if you do you could just increase the colour intensity slightly on the scans.

It would be interesting to see a previous drawing and then a re-newed one, for comparison purposes. =]

*lurks for update*

Cool! They evolve later than most Bug types, though.
