Hoenn Frontier: The Beginning.

Some People Blamed Scott, Others didn't but both sides agreed that in the end things turned out well for those trainers who had survived, Whilst Scott himself was Granted the Strongest Group of Trainers in Hoenn possibly even stronger than the Elite Four.


The Battle Frontier, second only too the Elite Four in Prestige, now finally open to all trainers in both Kanto and Johto in the individual Battle Frontiers. Thirteen Facilities Dotted around Kanto and Johto each one unique and each one owned by a Unique Frontier Brain. Recently the owner Scott has been receiving complaints from The Pokémon League in Hoenn and they have endowed him with the funds to create a whole new Battle Frontier in their Marvelous Region. With that Scott has ordered a tournament to be drawn up, He is inviting the top 64 non, Elite, Champion, Gym Leader Trainers from around the four regions to come to his Tournament and Fight it out, with the Top Sixteen Trainers Facing the Initiation. But whilst this is going on A Mystery Man has heard word of this and sees this as the perfect opportunity to attack the Hoenn and wipe out the trainers but he will need help from some of the other teams.

Giovanni grimaced as he entered the room. His two Most Trusted Commanders followed behind him, Apollo and Athena flanked him at either side.

“I'm Glad you could join us finally Giovanni.” The man called, his voice was low and emotionless. He wore a long cloak that hid his eyes and face from view.

“Why have you called this meeting?” Cyrus questioned Boldly, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto were behind him glaring around the room.

“As Archie and Maxie have already heard Scott has declared a tournament, in which the top Sixty Four trainers who aren't Elites, Gym Leaders or Champions have been called to Hoenn, the top Sixteen will become Candidates for Frontier Brains before being cut down to Eight. I propose we pool our resources and use this chance to Attack Hoenn.” The man replied monotonously

“That's all fine and dandy but not only are the Top Sixty Four trainers in the world their but also Hoenn is the Home of The revered G-Men...Who I will admit aren't much of a threat anymore without any Gym Leaders or Frontier Brains but the Elites and Champions are all part of the Elite Four along with a few others.” Maxie called, letting his opinion be known. Both he and Archie stood together; A Momentary truce had been called.

“That is my point, if we all formed together and attacked we would be able to eliminate everything in Hoenn and then move onto the rest of the world.” The man replied once again.

“Team Galactic is with you.” Cyrus announced calmly.

“As is Team Rocket.” Giovanni added.

“We also are in.” Archie called after a pause.

“Excellent.” The man replied

A few weeks after the teams banded together the Invites were sent out to the Sixty Four trainers detailing them about the fact that they had four days to make it to the tournament.

I will judge how battles go between players, after each attack I will tell the user and opponent whether it hits or misses etc.

So you will do this: “Pikachu use Volt Tackle” Billy Yelled prompting Pikachu to cover himself in blinding yellow electricity and then charge towards the opponent.

There will be a maximum of 12-16 Rpgers with only eight going on to become Frontier Brains.

Name: Gaia Sakaru Wave.

-Appearance-

Eye color: A Emerald, Deepgreen color.
Hair: Long to her hips waving brown hair.
Clothing: Gaia wears a light-blue sweater and a pair of blue jeans. She also wears sandals on her feet, whilst her hair is straight on her back.
When on the beach, or in battles Gaia wears a green tank top, a pair of white shorts and again a pair of normal sandals. Her brown hair is then in a large ponytail on her back.
Accessories/Other: She has got light-red lipstick on her medium-thin lips, other then that: A necklace with an emerald in it, she usually walks with a surfboard around when in fights and in water. Usually though her Surfboard is clipped on her back, since it isn't that large. She also has got sun-glasses, and a pair of finger-less gloves.

Personality: Gaia is big-hearted and kind, and acts like a mother, she usually helps newer trainers with advice and tips about how to raise pokemon. She loves anything related to water and ofcourse the art of surfing, however; when she's on land she can klutz, which usually ends in somebody getting hurt. In fights she usually goes all-out on her opponents which is the reason she's called: The Emerald Wave.

Likes: Gaia especially likes Water and surfing, battling, reading, drawing.

Dislikes: Gaia hates eating meat.

History: Gaia grew up as a apprentice of Brawly, which she learned the art of surfing from at a young age together with the 2 pokemon she got from him; A clefairy and a Poliwag. Not much else is known, except that Brawly always took care of her and the problems she has caused, eventually when Brawly thought it was enough and left, she could take over his gym. But after a few months she grew tired and left the gym, where she left her top apprentice to keep things running, and she decided to travel the world (of pokemon xD). On her journies she captured a few new pokemon which she uses in battle.

Starter: Clefairy>Clefable.
Clefable is somewhat larger then the usual clefable, because of this Clefable can surf on a normal surf plank which it does too. Much like Gaia, Clefable is big-hearthed, and can easily follow the line of battle. Gaia got this pokemon from Brawly, her teacher.
Ability: Magic Guard

Attacks: Gravity, Meteor Smash, Psychic, Softboiled, Signal Beam, Return, Double team, shockwave.

Poliwag>Poliwhirl>Poliwrath.
Poliwrath is a sturdy pokemon who tends to take hits before dealing damage back, because of this it has got high defences and stanima. Gaia got this pokemon from her teacher: Brawly.
Ability: Water Absorb.

Attacks: Dig, Protect, Dynamic punch, Mind reader, Haze, Icepunch, Waterfall, Substitue.

Staraptor.
Gaia traded a swellow to a trainer for this Staraptor since the trainer thought Swellow was cooler.
Ability: Intimidate.

Attacks: Double-Team, Whirlwind, Aerial Ace, CloseCombat, Brave Bird, Agility, Pursuit, Return.

Drapion.
Gaia got this pokemon in Mount Pyre, since it was causing trouble there to the elders. It became a massive powerhouse and a stapple to her team.
Ability: Battle Armor

Attacks: Crunch, Poison Jab, Pin-missle, Dig, Double team, Flash, Faint Attack, Whirlwind.

Miltank.
Gaia got this pokemon from a farmer because this Miltank couldn't deliver milk for him.
Ability: Thick Fat

Attacks: Rollout, Surf, Zen-headbutt, Substitue, Focus Punch, Return, Ironhead, Thunder Wave.

Nidoran-F>Nidorina>Nidoqueen.
This pokemon was as a nidoran-F from the day-care lady, but it ran away and Gaia found it. It refused to go back and stayed with her.
Ability: Poison-Point

Attacks: Earthpower, Flamethrower, Icebeam, Earthquake, Shock-wave, Surf, Double team, Poison Jab.

At gym (can be used, but usually not on team. And are trained by the new gym-leader)

Machop>Machoke>Machamp.
This pokemon was already in the gym when Gaia arrived as a Machop, Machop grew to respect Gaia and is willing to always help her out when needed.
Ability: No guard.

Attacks: DynamicPunch, Protect, Stone-edge, Fire-punch, Bulletpunch, Fling, Earthquake, Focus-punch.

Haunter>Gengar.
This pokemon was caught in Mount Pyre, and transfered to the Fighting Gym to train fighting pokemon to fare against ghost types. This pokemon is very good in using the area around itself.
Ability: Levitate.

Attacks: Haze, Will-O-wisp, Trick Room, Dark Pulse, Double Team, Shadow ball, Drain Punch, Psychic.

Scyther
This pokemon is a hard pokemon who tends to not care for it's opponents, but always does what his "master" (Trainer) says.
Ability: Technican

Attacks: Quick attack, False swipe, Agillity, Wingattack, Doubleteam, Nightslash, X-scissor, Rocksmash

Electabuzz
This pokemon changes mood every day, so it's fairly unpredictable.
Ability: Static

Attacks: Karatechop, swift, shockwave, Thunderpunch, Protect, Irontail, Psychic, Signalbeam

Quagsire
Quagsire tends to be fairly slow in everything, but can take much hits. The only exception when it's fast is when it fights.
Ability: Water Absorb

Farfetch'd
Tends to be jolly yet proud. He tends to use tricks to win.
Ability: Inner Focus

Eye color: Black eyes that are observant yet show no caring for anyone except, his family, friends, Pokémon and Sean.

Hair: Ven has spiky black hair that covers his ears completely whilst falling over his face normally casting shadows across his eyes.

Clothing: Ven wears a baggy black hoddy above a black long sleeved t-shirt. The hoody has a white zip the stands out considerably there is also a faint silver black trip around the sleeves and torso areas. On his bottom half he wears baggy black jeans held up by a black belt which also holds his Pokéballs. On his feet he wears black and white trainers that are half covered by this trousers.

Accessories: Ven has a pair of black fingerless gloves which he wears for battle and when its cold.

-Additional Info-

Personality: Ven is quiet, generally doing his best to conceal his emotions and stay conversation less, he normally answers questions with one word answers. In battle he is the same, watching the opponent waiting for the opportunity to strike and when he strikes he is merciless. He doesn't really care about love or anything and would rather stay alone. People say he is depressed but he strongly maintains that he is not despite the obvious signs. He rarely smiles and his face will remain blank through most things trying to stay unfazed by a lot of things. When meeting new people he will maintain everything barely talking but he be cold to them especially if Sean shows them to him, he is overprotective and loves her like a little sister, nothing more.

Likes: Dark Type Pokémon, Being Alone, Thinking, Writing, Reading, Listening to Music, Battling.

Dislikes: Fighting Type Pokémon, Crowded Places, People who Talk to Much, Contests.

History: Ven never knew his parents and his first waking memory is of being beaten up for being quiet and barely talking. After that his history is a depressing one. He was an out cast and didn't fit in anywhere, in school he kept his head down and learned in silence never talking to anyone, barely even acknowledging them. After he first obtained Larvitar he began his Pokémon journey first through Johto where aged 13 he made it into the top 32 before being knocked out. This was when he first met up with Sean who due some circumstances he ended up travelling with. They went back through Hoenn next and he made it into the top 16 before being wiped out of the tournament, next was Kanto where it was a Similar story with him being knocked out in the top 8 and eventually Another League in Sinnoh where he finished in the top four before being knocked out this was three months ago and lately he and Sean have just been traveling around wining tag team tournaments and training, both becoming stronger and now all thats left is for them to find a league. Ven Refuses to fight the Elite Four unless both he and Sean can do it. His goal is to beat the Elite Four and Becoming the First Elite to battle a double battle with with Ven as his partner.

-Pokemon-

Starter Pokémon: Larvitar-Pupitar-Tyranitar: Larvitar was Ven's Pokémon who he befriended and later caught on his tenth birthday. It started when when the Elder of Silver Town lent him his Bellsprout as he did for all 10 years olds and told him to go and catch a Pokémon. Ven spent hours searching but couldn't find, just as he was about to give up her heard crying and discovered Larvitar being attacked by some Sneasel he knew he couldn't just leave the poor Pokémon so he ordered Bellsprout to use Stun Spore and ran off with Larvitar who had cried as soon as they got to safety. Ven comforted him and eventually asked him if he would like to travel with him and the young Pokemon agreed and the next they day they started on their long journey to Violet City. At first Larvitar was shy but eventually Ven helped him grow and learn to love battles. Larvitar evolved into Pupitar around the time that Ven challenged Jasmine and later evolved a final time towards the end of his travels through the Hoenn Region. As a Tyranitar he is proud of his strength and loves showing off his powers. Normally saved till last in full battles. Ven's Strongest Pokémon and has taken on the trait of being over protective of Sean.


Moves: Earthquake, Dark Pulse Stone Edge, Hyper Beam, Dragon Claw, Thunderbolt, Fire Punch and .

Murkrow-Honchkrow: Ven found Murkrow in Illex Forest when he woke up in the middle of
the night and caught Murkrow stealing his food. Ven, Larvitar and Sneasel all gave chase and eventually caught up with him and cornered him Ven then use Larvitar to battle Murkrow and won after a tight battle after this Ven decided to capture it and train him. He is the joker of Ven's team and always plays joke on his master and friends. Evolved after Ven was defeated by Chuck and they found a Dusk Stone, has traveled everywhere with Ven and is his third or second strongest Pokémon. Gets along with Joker the two are inseparable when they are out of their Pokéball's.

Moves: Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Taunt, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Air Cutter, Heat Wave, Ominous Wind and Calm Mind.

Houndoom: Ven was outside Ecrutek where he was attacked by some Houndour whom he defeated, later on they came back in greater numbers and led by a Houndoom who challenged Ven to a one on one battle. The black haired trainer used Larvitar to battle the Fire/Dark Type Pokémon who put up a good fight and despite intimidating Larvitar still lost and was captured by Ven who had the Houndour pack break up and then continued on his way. At first Houndoom refused to obey Ven but after he watched Ven defeat Jasmine and his Rival Rick he began to obey him. Is the lazy member of Ven's team and enjoys lying in the shade and sleeping. Probably one of Ven's strongest six Pokémon.

Moves: Thunder Fang, Flamethrower, Crunch, Nasty Plot, Solar Beam, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse,and Heat Wave.

Corphish-Crawdaunt: Crawdaunt, then a Corphish was the first Pokémon Ven saw when he arrived in Hoenn after the Silver Conferance, he had just been released by his former trainer who had said something about being too weak, Ven went up to the Corphish and challenged him to a battle. So they battled with Ven using Pupitar and eventually Ven captured the Pokémon and set about training him. He evolved in time to help Ven sweep through Flannery and from then on his personality changed he is now the loner of the group and only cares about battling and becoming strong.

Moves: Surf, Swords Dance, Ice Beam, Brick Break, Dark Pulse, Super Power, X-Scissor and Hyper Beam.

Nuzleaf-Shiftry: Ven met Nuzleaf when he was walking through Petalburg Forest and stumbled upon a Shroomish and Nuzleaf battling. Shroomish was evidently in pain but Nuzleaf kept attacking with False Swipe a Sadistic smile on his face. Not being able to watch this Ven ordered Houndoom to blast him with Flamethrower to stop the attack. Despite being Sadistic Ven saw it was strong and brought it upon himself to train it. The first thing it did when let out of his ball was evolve using the Leaf Stone Ven had in his bag, he became more sadistic and disobedient. After months of training Ven managed to get him to obey him but was unable to clear away his sadistic side. Sadistic and doesn't get on with anyone. One of the strongest six.

Moves: Leaf Storm, Nasty Plot, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Silver Wind, Dark Pulse, Razor Wind, Air Cutter and Ominous Wind.

Spritomb: Ven found and caught Spiritomb very early on is campaign through Sinnoh when he was walking past the Lost Tower and Spiritomb began playing tricks on him throughout the whole time Ven was in the vicinity. Just as he was about to leave Spiritomb revealed himself and he and Ven battled with Ven using Honchkrow. The young trainer managed to win and caught himself Spiritomb.

Moves: Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Destiny Bond, Pain Split, Hypnosis and Dream.

Reserves: Weavile, Mightyena, Skuntank, Drapion. Sabelye, Egg(Eevee) and Absol.

Personality: Ever since early childhood, Malik has been known to put a smile on everyone’s face. He’s loyal, smart, trustworthy, sweet, and a joy to be around. He has some anger issues (I’ve had em all my life), but that is so undermined by his good traits. History: Born and Raised in Saffron City until his 14th birthday, where he decided that it was time to disband from the Trainers’ School in Celadon City (made-up), and join his friends in the Pokemon League. History: Malik got Tyrouge as a gift from The Fighting Dojo in Saffron City, after they heard of his departure into the world of Pokemon. After ensuring that Tyrouge became keen in not only Martial Arts but also in Kick Boxing, he decided to let it finally evolve into Hitmonchan. Malik has had Hitmonchan all his life and never let’s him out of his sight. After helping him achieve the Contest Ribbon from Slateport City, Malik finally decided on the nickname "Tomochan" for his beloved companion.

History: Magnemite was caught in Johto during and exploration of Route 222 in the Sinnoh Region. Tomochan (Tyrouge at the time), just having recently learned Fire Punch, easily weakened Magnemite and Malik caught it with an Great Ball. He then challenged the next Gym Leader, Maylene, and never switched Pokemon once, causing Magnemite to evolve in Magneton at Lv 30. Later, he trained hard with his Magneton and it Evolved in Magnazone at Lv 45. Malik always complements his Pokemon on all their hard work and determination, and Magnazone (even while still a Magnemite) would always just have a blushed look on their face, and turn away. He gave Magnazone his Nickname after he managed to pull all the power out of the Power Plants generator in Kanto. It sometimes bothers Malik that all Magnazone are Genderless, but he’s sure Lectrozone is a "HE".

History: Abra struck Malik as a very mysterious Pokemon when he caught it. Abra are notorious for using Teleport whenever in the face of danger, but not this particular Pokemon. He called out his Tyrouge and even made a fake command to use Fire Punch on it, but Abra didn’t even so much as twitch. Malik unlatched a Pokeball and gave it a small toss towards her, and Abra didn’t even fight back in the least bit. Abra’s been faithful to Malik ever since then and evolved after only a few days. However, Malik didn’t feel like Abra was strong enough to evolve and trained it further, until Lv 24. Finally, Malik found a new item given to him as a prize in a contest called, TradeVlution 1000. He was told it makes Pokemon that would have to normally be traded to evolve, evolve then and there if used at a decent enough Lv. Finally, now having an Alakazam , Malik gave it the nickname Mazakala which, if you haven’t already noticed, is just "Alakazam" spelled backwards.
Ability: Spoon Drop- Drops one spoon from his hand and focuses all Psychic power into the other. All Psychic moves power increases by 25%

History: Malik "caught" Rose completely by accident while on his way to Mauville City. He began resting with Hitmonchan and Kadabra in the grass, and the curious Pokemon walked over and picked up the Pokeball, curious of what it was, and scared itself unconscious when the ball zapped it up. Malik realized he had it when he challenged Wattson, and he used it to defeat his Manetric. Malik saw potential in Rose and nicknamed her right then and there, letting her join his team.
Ability: Poison Point- The opponent has a 30% chance of being induced with poison when using and attack, that requires physical contact, against this Pokemon.

History: Chimchar was the first Pokemon Malik caught on his journey in Sinnoh. Chimchar was an extremely careful Pokemon, and always found the easiest way to get out of things…Chimchar evolved into Monferno during a battle with Gardenia and her Roserade. Roserade was just about to finish Chimchar with Leaf Storm, but Chimchar evolved and learned Flame Wheel, enabling him the victory. Later, Monferno evolved into Infernape after winning against Candice in SnowPoint City. It was then that Monferno’s nickname, Mono, became Infernape’s new nickname, Inferno.
Ability: Blaze- When HP is low, Fire Power is increased 1.5 times.

History: Gardenia had enough! Leafeon’s ill-tempered ways annoyed Gardenia, and after being beaten in her Gym, Gardenia decided that he would be better off with Malik. He promised he would take good care of him, and then Leafeon tackled Malik putting him in the hospital. This caused Leafeon to get off on bad terms with the other Pokemon, but Malik begged his Pokemon to forgive him, for it was in his nature. For saving him from being mobbed by his Pokemon, Leafeon eased up on the anger and let Malik name him Leavee.
Ability: Leaf Guard- All Status problems are healed during strong sunlight.
Moves: Razor Leaf, Leaf Storm, Magical Leaf, Giga Drain, Quick Attack, Leaf Blade, Last Resort, Grasswhistle

Clothing: Marissa current attire includes purple Chiffon cocktail gown with Doriani Lilac evening closed toe shoes. She wears a n expensive watch on her left wrist and a black bracelet on her right wrist. She carries a black tote which contains her wallet, pokeballs and other necessary products for her.

Accessories/Other: Marissa physical attributes include that she is quite tall for a girl with a model-esq figure with a medium sized bust as she is quite skinny but not too skinny, her legs are silky smooth and are quite long due to her physique. She has sunglasses and a sunhat for some occasions.

Personality: Marissa is your quintessential high class girl. She is very ditsy and not too bright which is due to her upbringing where she didn't need to excel in education. She relies on her father and mother a lot and to get her way but has learned slowly how to be independent. She is quite a 'damsel in distress' and also danger-phone but she still keeps herself and other people around her happy. History: Marissa is the only child of a businessman and an Actress. Marissa was quite a spoiled brat but loved pokemon at a young age as well as fashion. She decided after watching TV in her room when she was 6 to become a top trainer but until ten she couldn't even start. When she was 10 she was given her first pokemon but just after that she fell down a pit which made her known to be danger prone. She worked hard to become a good trainer in her native Sinnoh with reasonable success where she reached the top 16. At Hoenn she had a breakthough season where she came 4th in the League but that was after she had hit a form slump in Kanto where she failed to make any impact as well as Johto. She is said to be one of the most exciting talent on the contest circuit but a big choker when it came to the latter parts of Tournaments. After her form slump during Kanto and Johto, Marissa was offered a chance to become a model to which she agreed very quickly. After her modeling contracted ended with renewed faith and focus from her other passion, she had reached as stated before, in the Top 4 and then she was offered another modeling contract but this was long term but part time to which she quickly agreed. She keeps in touch with her parents as she has a close relationship with them.

Starter Pokémon: Milotic: Water Pulse, Aqua Tail, Safeguard, Recover, Ice Beam, Dragon Pulse.
Milotic was given by her parents to Marissa for her 10th birthday and quickly befriend her as they had spent over 10 years together both with their slumps and highs. Milotic is said to have the personailty of Marissa's mother with her expressions and emotions which is why Marissa's Pokemon are at least more likely to be more mature then her except for a few exceptions. Milotic is basically Marissa and her Pokemon motherly figure when her actually mother isn't around.

Pokemon 2: Onix - Steelix: Dragonbreath, Slam, Sandstorm, Iron Tail, Stone Edge, Earthquake.
The toughest and strongest Pokemon on Marissa's team. Caught when it was a Onix because Marissa thought it was cute as it tried to get berries from a tree, so she befriended it to which it was the 2nd Pokemon in her team. It had evolved during a trade battle against Candice in Sinnoh to a Steelix which she traded to Candice just to evolve before they battled which had became like a tough guy but was still loyal but liked to keep to itself.

Pokemon 3: Ralts - Kirlia - Gardevoir: Wish, Rain Dance, Thunderbolt, Double Team , Shadow Ball, Psychic
Ralts was given as a birthday present from Marissa's parents when she was around her mid-teens. It was very fragile at that time, so Marissa had to be cautious with it but It evolved during a non-event in Johto and became Kirlia which is the Pokemon that is most like Marissa out of all her Pokemon as it has some traits that Marissa does as well. It is a surprisingly tough Pokemon as it evolved into a Gardevoir when she battled Clair for the last badge.

Pokemon 4: Bellsprout - Weepinbell - Victreebel: Leaf Storm, SolarBeam, Sunny Day, Sludge Bomb, Toxic, Endure.
Bellsprout was caught in Marissa's expedition in Kanto but it was too hard for her to handle a Pokemon that was very energetic to her dismay. It was caught while Marissa was training with Charmeleon in her side to battle it. It evolved to a Weepinbell during a battle with Chuck but it didn't succeed in winning. It evolved to a Victreebel when Marissa used a Leaf stone near the Weather Station in Hoenn after finding it nearby. It is the jolly, happy pokemon in her side which helps to cheer her up and the other Pokemon, much like a joker.

Pokemon 5: Pidgeotto - Pidgeot: Roost, Agility, Wing Attack, Steel Wing, Fly, Tailwind.
Pidgeotto was caught it Ilex forest In Johto after failing from a tree, Marissa used this as an excuse to battle it using Onix to which Onix won. Marissa caught it and it turned out to be the most social Pokemon in Marissa's team and likes to play around with Victreebel. It evolved in Hoenn to Pidgeot after beating Roxanne but it still carried the same characteristics as it did when it was an Pidgeotto except it is a little more mature.

Pokemon 6: Pontya - Rapidash: Bounce, Agility, Fire Blast, Megahorn, Sunny Day, Solarbeam, Poison Jab
It is the quietest of all her Pokemon. Caught in Hoenn after Marissa found it cute and was easily caught with the help of Weepinbell. It was very shy and quiet but loved to battle along with its teammates and Marissa as it tried to gain confidence which it did as it evolved during a training session to a Rapidash and again carried the shy characteristics except it was more confident as Marissa still found it cute.
