do you have to beat the E4 round 2 before you can link to r/s/e?? i thought it was just after round 1, but i can't seem to work the link...

you need to bring the Ruby and the Saphire to the guy in one island and no you don't have to beat the second round

beat the elite 4 once... get the national dex (have to have 60 pokedex entries first) from prof oak... get the ruby and saphire from the other islands and return to 1 island and once the machine is fixed you can trade to r/s/e
