hide and seek

A young May had ran around the outskirts of Littleroot Town through the various trees looking for something that seemed to not be there. She had been at it for about an hour searching. Only to find nothing. Frustrated, she returned to a large tree and sat under the tree.

She then proceeded to think, and think, and think. She then got up and ran off into the distance again. Only to return to the tree in frustration. It had seemed that she had given up. She was at this for too long.

"Where are you!?" She had yelled while picking up a rock and throwing it to the large tree. The rock had made it into the tree and then a large rustle began. Then out of nowhere, a boy fell from the tree.

"Owww, you got quite an arm there" The Young Brendan had said as he rubbed his side and leaned back onto the tree.

"You were in the tree the whole time?" May asked.

"Of course." Brendan said with a big grin on his face may the started to hit him.

"You big jerk! Do you know how long I have been searching for you!?"

"Hey, it's not my fault you didn't bother to look up trees." Brendan shot back.

May just puffed her cheeks up and just sat next to Brendan

Damn lags... this should've been posted an hour ago! >_<

How could I forget? It was epic like a sudden gust of wind. whooosh! xD You certainly took us all by surprise.

Well~ I've never actually seen any of your drawings, so I really can't say you stink at drawing. But yes, you do have writing, and writing is an art in itself! ;D

Really?! But you seem to know so much about it that I had the impression you were some sort of art student. D:

@HS festival: O-K so to recap...
Time: All weekend
Date: undecided. (Sometime in June? July? August? I guess it would depend on what sort of activities we'll be doing. If we were doing a contest of some sort, I'd imagine some entries would take a couple of weeks to prepare...right?)
Theme: Summer...? It's still open for discussion. Other suggestions were spring, school festival, the beach (but beach can be lumped with summer).

SOooo~ It's that time of the week!

I still feel giddy at receiving such praise. xD

Trust me, you wouldn't want to be subjected to such torture. >_< I utterly fail at drawing humans; they usually come out looking like a pile of rectangles with a circle on top and a childish smiley face drawn on. XD Thanks for the comment about my writing, though; I'm glad I can at least do that, and I'll make sure I make the best of it. ^^

Evidently, he is; just one that did not specialise in drawing people.

So far, so good! ^^ Now we just need to work on that date. Shouldn't be too tough, though, at least once we have some time to think about it.

Yay, more themes! And very interesting ones this time around; they all have this interesting "mysterious" air about them that I find to be a great inspiration. =D I especially like 24, seeing as I've always been a fan of paranormal stuff... once I have even a moment of spare time, I shall get right to it!

Ah, I see, I see. That explain a bit.

You're certainly on a roll with all these drabbles, aren't you? Nice job on this one; fits the theme and quite cute, to boot. It did seem to perpetuate the "torturing Brendan" theme again, but at least you balanced it out with May's frustration toward the situation. xD

Yay, drabble! After reading it, I'm feeling compelled to fan art it... xD ah, but I probably wouldn't do your story any justice. Dx

lol I don't think that kind of joy ever goes away. ^^

Hm, you mean like this?
You're welcome. You really have a talent for it, so I hope you'll always continue to write.

Oh good! Finally, a batch that speaks to us. lol xD No, but I'm really happy with the response so far.

Oh, nonsense; I would love to see fan art of the story from you! =D

No, it does not, and I'm quite happy for that. ^^

Wow, you actually put together a visual aid? o_o; Uh, yeah, like that basically, just not nearly as endearing to look at. xDD
Thanks again. I'm going to make sure to my absolute best at it!

Well, the others did, too, but perhaps I was too busy at the time? XD Oh, but, no problem, though; your themes are always good. ^^

Alright guys, I have finished the exam and I am prepared for a HSG Summer!
I just looked at that scribble, Marichi, I lol'd.

Anyways, I am going to start my little school skip drabble over, from an earlier point, but I need to know if anyone wants to be in the story, and doing what. Just PM me (no kanter I wont copy HSC promiz)

Ah, good! Glad to see another recently-gone member ready to come back! ^^
I actually found it pretty funny, too, even if it was born from my complaints about my own lack of drawing skill. xDD One has to be able to laugh at oneself, hm?

Oh, sounds good! Maybe it could get its own thread this time, too; might make it a bit more cohesive, since we wouldn't have to look through all the pages here to find chapters. If I feel the need to be in it, I'll certainly let you know! ^^

D'aw, how nice of you to say that. Well... we'll see. ^^;

Something like this was the original plan. xD But even a style like that has its charm~<3 lol Wouldn't it be awesome to get a card or some sort of stationary with print like that on it? Oh! Or even keychains and cell phone straps! xDD
Yeah! Go for it! >8D

@DS: Hey, welcome back! And thanks; glad my scribbles can gets some laughs. x3

Aside from the HS festival and this week's themes, do we have a HS topic to discuss?

You're welcome, as always. ^^ Just do what you can.

Oh, I see what you were driving at now; something intentionally simplistic, like this, right? xD Yes, there is a certain charm to it. ^^ Oh, I'd love one of those! Any of them, really; the simplistic style seems to look its best on small bits of merchandise like those. I think I'd especially like the cell phone thingy. =D I've wanted one for the longest time, but my mom keeps trying to tell me that it's "girly" for me have one. ><;;
Yes, that I will! I'm already working on something for the last theme list; I've got the progression of events worked out, I just need to figure out how to express it in writing...

Um...I'll get back to you on that. ^^;;

Ok~ x3

Right! Hey, it's Ed! lol I never thought I'd see the day where hoennshipping would be so merchandisable. xD
It's quite rare to see anyone, boy or girl, with a cell phone strap thingy over here. If we were in Japan, maybe it wouldn't be so odd -even for boys. I'll admit I was a bit taken aback at first when I saw my cuz with his cell phone thingy; however, regardless of what anyone says, he still uses it. c:

Hey, if Brendan and May had matching pokenav strap thingies, I don't think anyone would make fun of Brendan. More like "aw, what a cute couple. They even have matching pokenav straps." :/ Hm, it's a bit similar to the matching earrings idea...

This may be late, but I figure I post the picture that inspired the uniforms I wrote in my small fic

Since something is better than nothing.

Granted it's meant to be franticshipping(and credit to Tsukinoaria for the pic)

not enough time for me to make up something for a scenario.

@CCTV: Just get the strap. :'D My friend has one and he hits my head when I say he's girly.
@Marichineesy: Matching straps? O: I always thought their bandanas kinda matched.. cos they both have a Pokeball pattern on them. ._. Might be just me.
:p I bet it'd be cuter if people realised they wrote their dreams on their shoes.

"Just you"? I actually find it kinda hard to believe that someone could not think they matched. o_o I definitely saw it. Their clothes as a whole match, too, though in that case, it's in more of a "complimenting colours" kind of way.

I wholeheartedly agree. ^^

Ah, I see. Good choice!

Yes, but many of the pictures you've posted so far also were, no doubt due to your stance on the hat-thing. :p They're all still very nice pictures, though.

No one blames you for that; we all seem to be low on ideas lately. ^^;;

Also right! Hm... I never thought that way, either. Are you reading this, show writers? Highly marketable couple; golden opportunity for merchandising! Get crackin'! xDD

It's quite common at my school, though as far as I can tell it's mostly girls (though no one called me out on it during the brief time I used one). Must be a regional thing... But, yes, were we in Japan, I imagine they'd be all over the place. I admire your cousin's choice; I'd use mine with pride, too. ^^

Yeah, I imagine that'd be the case, too; a couple with matching accouterments is more likely to draw positive attention than negative. Well, that, and guys in anime/manga tend to be able to get away with looking or acting in a semi-girly fashion pretty easily. XD
I nearly forgot the earrings idea; I remember liking it a lot because it seemed unique. c:

8O You have that many? One thing I like about the strap is that it's so much easier to find/grab my phone. xD Aw, but because of wear and tear, it a real drag when I lose it in transit. Dx

It's a fun idea. Whether or not it sells is another matter, but a fun idea nonetheless. =3=

I guess it is a regional thing. Oh, but bag charms seem are a little more common, so there's always that route. ^^; Yeah, who cares what anyone else says. Life is short, so you might as well enjoy it while you can. >8D

It's so true. They can get away with just about anything. lol I'm finding it harder and harder to tell genders in anime/manga with all the cross-dressing and whatnot. ^^;
^^

EDIT:

@HS festival: June, July, or August? Which month works for everyone? What are we doing for the festival? I can't remember what we did for the last ones...

Well, since I can't very well reach across the Pacific to do it, someone has to. xDD Kidding!
Right, right! A lot of elements of their designs match, really. ^^
She really loves that particular idea, huh? xD Who wouldn't, though?

I thought so, too!

Uh, actually, I have none; I was saying that I needed to choose one to buy. ^^;; But, yes, I can definitely appreciate both of those points.

Yes, very fun. =D Even if it never goes mainstream, I'll still stick with Hoennshipping.

Both sound nice, really. But, yes, I will definitely live the way I wish, paying no heed to any naysayers! As you said, life is simply too short. :D

Not just their mode of dress, but often their overall designs, too. Of course, there are some folks who are into that; they're welcome to it. XD

I thought we generally agreed on June, but I'm not sure...perhaps now that it's the weekend, we can convene with the others on the Festival's prospective date. I cant, either...^^;

Man, topical discussions are really wearing thin. I ought to get to work finishing that drabble for the theme list; at least it'd be something... (of course, there's still the whole "intermittent inspiration" problem I have going on... ><;; )

I love love love the shoe idea. 8D I've written my dreams on my shoes too! (all 4 pairs of them. <3)

I think June is a good time. :) Can we even wait until August or so? (But it'd be nice to have a festival on my birthday. XD)

._. We always have topic issues. Don't stress yourself over making it be ontopic~ (our curse as HSers: we're too friendly and get offtopic easily)

Now, now you guys. Play nice.
Really?! You did it! Wow~ I hope you'll reach your dreams real soon. :D

I can wait till August, but it sounds like June is in favor so far.

There, there... do you need an ice pack?

lol I swear there's a name for this matching clothes business...
but all this matching things are making me think of that kaiwase shell game...

June...
If said month is chosen, what are the days, or is it the full month? And what is the HS Festival
I believe we've decided it will be held on a weekend... in June... The exact date is still undecided.

I know a couple of us still have exams to deal with in June, but if we had it say last weekend of June (the 27th & 28th) would that be conflicting with anyone's schedule or studies?

What is the HS Festival? Hm, we'll one time we had a fan art contest. Another time it was a one-shot fan fic contest. But I think in all the past festivals we had some sort of work that included hoennshipping and the hoennshippers. ^^; My memory is kind of fuzzy, but I think that's how it went...

^^

That I will! I see if I can't get ahold of that nice Turtwig one...

Correct! Our support knows no bounds...er, even in the absence of topics! xDD (Don't worry, though; I'll address that further down)

Oh! I would love that! I'm not too sure what the other one is, though. ^^;;

Sounds like we're close to an agreement, then...

We do; we just enjoy messing around. xD
I'm starting to think I should write my dreams on my shoes, too...but where to start?

Sounds like it! Although, August is fine with me, too, if it comes to that.

I'll gladly lend her one! :3

What would that be? I'm intrigued now...
Er...what? ^^;

Weekend in June...[writes it down] Got it!

Mine actually don't start until then. T-T But the last week is way past it, so that's good!

I think it worked that way, too. ^^ Ah, crap... if it comes to a fanfic contest, I should probably write one way in advance, so my annoyingly lazy muse doesn't make me late. XD

I think they actually have the same colour scheme, but reversed.
Good on you! They're sure to come true now! =D

Like I said, I'm quite alright with either. (Although, if we wait till August, it could be on my birthday. xD)

Quite true. ^^;; It's not just our friendliness and shared ADD tendencies; our non-canon nature also limits and discussable material...not that we mind. It's still fun anyway!

Not everyone; and if they do, they'll have me to answer to! >=O

Concern #1 is definitely whether something sells; as a Transformers fan, I can attest to that. XD The matching colour schemes probably would, which is good for us!

I would say "yes". ^^

Okay, then! All this talk of merchandise has inspired me to dredge up an old topic from the time before time (aka, the old thread). [ahem]
What kind of Hoennshipping/generally B & M-related merchandise would you like to have (assuming it existed)?

Personally, I'd like action figures, specifically of the detailed, ultra-articulated type, like Figmas or Revoltechs. They'd have all kinds of accessories and alternate hands that you could attach to their wrists (eg, one holding a Pokeball, a fist, holding a PokeBlock case, etc...), including, if it's possible to engineer such a thing, a shared pair of hands that are clasped together that you could attach to both their wrists. You know, so that they're holding hands. Is that not an awesome (if unlikely) idea? :D

UFO dolls tend to be... fat and ugly? I guess it's just to make it easier, or maybe more challenging, to grab in those UFO catcher/crane game (I have no idea what's the common name for that particular arcade game. T-T)

I still haven't figured out the name...
Oh, it's shell matching game played at some weddings in Japan. Each clam shell has a poem or picture painted on the two inner halves. Then one half is kept in one barrel while the other half is kept in another barrel. When it comes to playing the game, the hundreds of shells are taken out and laid face down. It's up to the couple to find the matching shells. I guess it's like saying finding your soul mate is one in a million kind of thing.

lol Fortunately, the theme "summer" has been released. So there's time to think about it.

Depending on how well this one goes, maybe we could have another festival in August. :/

I like the action figure idea too. It's certainly an item I'd collect.

Hm, how about an cuckoo clock alarm clock? It'll be the first thing to see each morning. xD

Looks like I'm on the right track. ^^

Oh, I see...but you mean, like, ugly-cute, right? Because I can't see the appeal in something that's just outright ugly. xD I'm actually not sure what it's called; I've been calling it "Skill-Crane", based on an episode of SpongeBob that called it that.

Take your time...
Wow...once again, your intricate knowledge of Japanese cultural stuff knows no bounds. xDD The game itself actually sounds pretty fun, if a bit complex. And, the whole "one in a million" thing is quite romantic, even if it is pulled off in a rather roundabout fashion.

Good, good! I'll get right on that one once my current project is dealt with.

Hmm...two festivals certainly sounds fun...

You do? Oh, cool! I was afraid it'd sound like too much of a "guy-thing". ^^;;

Alarm clock, eh? I think I'd fancy that. c: I wonder what sound it would make, though...?
