Hogwarts’ secret

One more secret remains at Hogwarts!
(Since no seemed intrested in ghostbusters, let's try this!)

It’s been nearly half a century since the epic final battle with Voldermort at Hogwarts in which many brave souls gave their lives to protect our magical world and much of the castle was destroyed. Many have suggested that the battle truly began the night young Harry first set foot in Hogwarts, a castle has has, since Harry’s first year, given up many of its secrets.

One of Harry’s friends, as you may well be aware, never left, despite having graduated. Professor Neville Longbottom, has for many years been the instructor of Herbology here at Hogwarts. Under his skilled direction, though most of his lectures go off on tangents from which they never return, many students have blossomed into enthusiastic magical botanists, while others have learned the value of using natural ingredients when making stink bombs. Though nothing particularly significant has occurred here since his seventh year at, aside from that incident with the jellyfish which most of the staff are still trying to forget, he still feels that Hogwarts Castle has many secrets left to discover. That is why, as of late, he had taken to stalking what remained of the school’s few original corridors during the nights and class breaks. He calls these outings his Historical Adventures and occasionally is accompanied by other staff members or older students who have gotten permission to stay out past curfew from their house heads.

Two weeks ago he left his office for one of his nightly adventures, he was alone this particular time and never returned. At first the staff wasn’t very concerned, Professor Longbottom had frequently disappeared before, usually only to return a couple of days later with some excuse about having forgotten he was supposed to be teaching. His memory seems to have gotten worse with age, so nobody had really questioned it before. Once he even claimed that he was looking for toad named Trevor, only to remember it’d died years ago. But when he didn’t turn up by the end of the week however, they started to worry. There was some indication that he might have returned to the room of requirement, or perhaps gone to visit a place outside the castle which held similar happy memories. Several students, staff, and even past members of Dumbledore’s Army have attempted to visit one of the room of requirement’s many forms, but none of those who actually succeeded in making the room appear found Neville. Nor did he show up on any enchanted map when checked. By the beginning of the second week the Headmistress was starting to get impatient, and so she attempted to contact Professor Longbottom by owl. By Thursday night the owl had not returned, and many assumed it had managed to locate Neville, but like him had not managed to locate a return route.

So that was it, something had to be done to find the missing Professor. So the Headmistress had two search teams of concerned Staff, Friends, and Students assembled in order to try and determine his whereabouts. The first team would attempt to search the castle top to bottom until Professor Longbottom could be found. The second team would attempt to follow other leads outside the castle just in case he’d really wandered off-grounds this time. (In case of extra players, additional teams may be formed and the search areas will be broken down.)

___

My Characters:

Name: Dike

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Species: House Elf

Occupation: Hogwarts kitchen staff

Appearance: Dike has a look typical of many house elves. He is short, but thin with long bony fingers and toes. His large bat-like ears, over-sized brown eyes, and long nose, which all barely seen to fit on his round head. His hair is just a few wisps of fluffy brown, almost the same shade as his eyes. Around his waist is the typical blue Hogwarts towel.

Personality: Dike is, like most House Elves, rather obedient. But this doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have any thoughts or opinions of his own. He does not have a lot of faith in others’ plans and so while he’ll do almost anything a Staff member or Student asks him to, he will verbally point out the inevitable failure of their endeavors. Also while his is rather skilled at it, Dike would much rather be doing anything but kitchen work. He also has an oddly adventuress streak for a house elf. So when the Headmistress came to the kitchens looking for a House Elf willing to join the search team, because they could fit into smaller spaces, he happily signed up.

History: Dike was born at Hogwarts and has spent his life serving those that work and attend classes there. That is after he was old enough to actually help rather than hinder his fellow house elves. At a fairly young age his aptitude for cooking was recognized. At first he didn’t mind, because the kitchen was warmer and less labor intensive than many of the jobs Hogwart’s House Elves do. But over the years cooking has become a tedious and boring task for Dike, and his distaste for it was growing every day. Cooking large quantities of food in a boiling hot kitchen, for young witches and wizards, who never visit, never say thanks, and never seem to stop eating! He wanted something more, better, although he really wasn’t sure what. He was still satisfied with serving witches, he just didn’t want to serve them food anymore. One afternoon while the kitchen staff was busy preparing that night’s feast, the headmistress came to them in apparent distress. One of the School’s Professor’s was missing, and she wanted a house elf to help search. Dike leap away from the vast vat of mash potatoes he preparing, finally an opening out of this trap, he bowed for her “Madame, I would be honored to assist you.” She accepted this and allowed him to join one of the search teams, under the condition that he would follow the direction of the other team members of course.

Name: Rave-Anna Deadwood

Age: 27

Gender: Female

Species: Human witch

Occupation: Potions Professor

Appearance: Rave has long silky black hair which she generally keeps in a tight bun so that it doesn’t get in the way of potion brewing. Underneath this tight hairdo she has an oval shaped face with a small nose and sparkling green eyes. Her ears are also a tad on the small side. As for her body she is around average height and while not fat, she’s not particularly skinny. Rave’s favorite robes have elbow length sleeves and are a vivid shade of green; she accents these with a black sash and black high-heeled leather boots. In her robe’s pocket, next to her wand, she keeps a pair of dragon skin gloves for use in handling dangerous ingredients.

Personality: Rave’s personality is fairly upbeat. Her occupation forces her to keep a pretty up-tight looking image with the bun and all, but underneath this she’s really a fun person to be around. She likes to joke and make her students laugh, and even treat them to the occasional game or free-day. But she’d never allow her good sense of humor to interfere with student safety and can become strict when necessary. While somewhat spontaneous in nature, Rave always tries to be prepared for anything. For this reason she always has her dragon skin gloves and wand on her.

History: Rave’s father was a wizard and her mother was a muggle, unaware of her husband’s magic until after the baby’s birth. The fact is her father, having gotten into a bit trouble, was attempting to hide from the magical community and therefore wasn’t using any magic. About the time his daughter turned three, however, his wife starting acting strangely. Having confronted her on this, he discovered his daughter was showing magical powers and it was scaring his wife. So he sat her down and calmly explained things, she took it pretty well.
When Rave turned 11 she was sent off to Hogwarts where she made a ton of friends and developed a strong interest in potions. After school she went off to study potions abroad with a Chinese potion master. Afterwards she made her way back to England where she found a job as a cleaning potion salesperson. This job wasn’t particularly satisfying, and she soon left it for another equally boring job. Eventually she made her was back to Hogwarts as the new Potions Professor.

May I reserve a Hogwarts Team character, por favor? :)
(possibly a werewolf, also?)

The_Mighty_Medicham

It's electric!
Name: Ethan Richards

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Occupation or Year: 7th year

Appearance: Ethan is a tall boy, standing at an even six feet tall, with straw-colored hair that covers his ears. He has the body of an athlete and is popular in his house. He has light colored skin that tans very easily. He has deep, emerald eyes that seem to pierce through the soul. Ethan has a small nose that comes to the slightest point at the very end, like a ski slope. He has long, slender fingers that enable him to draw his wand at a lightning fast speed. When not in his Hogwarts robes, Ethan tends to wear khaki pants with white shoes along with whatever shirt he feels like wearing that day.

Personality: Above all things, Ethan puts the needs of others before his own. This attitude usually gets him in trouble with the teachers. Ethan thrives when he is surrounded with friends. He tries to be friendly with everybody, even if they make it obvious they don't want to be friends. Ethan thinks plans out carefully before taking any action. However, whenever it comes to a battle or duel, Ethan acts on instinct. This fact often causes Ethan to come out on top.

History: Ethan's mother left his father when she found out that he was a wizard when Ethan was 6. His father totally immersed Ethan in the magical world in order to get him prepared. However, his father got worried when Ethan showed no signs of magical power. The Hogwarts letter arrived for him at 11, though, eliminating all fears. The two of them went to Diagon Alley, where Ethan got his barn owl Rowan and his wand. The wand is Beech, 14 1/4 inches, with the essence of pixie hair.

When he arrived at Hogwarts, he was immediately discouraged when he was placed in Hufflepuff. However, Ethan realized that this was truly the house that he belonged in at Hogwarts. He quickly set himself about as an expert in Wizard Dueling. Trying to expand his horizons, Ethan made it onto the Quidditch team as a Beater.

Ethan is an average student in the majority of his subjects. The only one he truly shined in was Charms, due in part to his dueling abilities. He is able to correctly perform a spell the first time that he tries it. Ethan's ability in dueling and Charms is one of the main reasons he was chosen to search for Professor Longbottom.

Team: Hogwarts search party.

PidgeotMaster

The Bird Master!
Name: James Avias

Age: 33

Gender: Male

Species: Human, unless animagi are sperate

Occupation or Year: Defense Against The Dark Arts Professor

Appearance:He's a short man, about 4 ft tall. He has dark brown hair that is cut very short. His small beady eyes surrounded by his huge glasses seem to give him a somewhat frightening look. His ability to become a falcon is known among students, and as such they don't say anything bad about him around birds. He has rings around his eyes where his glasses are in human form, and has dark gray feathers. He normally wheres gray robes, though on special occasions he wheres another color.

Personality: He's is normally a pleasant person to be with, though he can become enraged in an instant. He loves to debate things with other teachers and even students. He is normally somewhat strict in class, though when not teaching he commonly jokes around, or plays tricks, occasionally he even helps Peeves reek havoc. Though he sometimes acts like a know-it-all, he is usually modest. He is very curious, and on occasion this gets him in trouble. He loves to try new things and explore, so he accepted readily the offer of trying to find Neville.

History: He was born to to wizard parents, and lived a pretty normal life compared to many wizarding kids. He was excited as anyone when his letter came. But his real story began when he got to Hogwarts. As soon as the hat was placed on his head it srceamed out Ravenclaw. Much like many Ravenclaws, he was an exceptional student. He earned great grades in all classes, but earned particularly good grades in Defense against the dark arts and Care of magical Creatures. As soon as his schooling was over, he took a job opportunity and headed around the world, documenting magical beasts around the world. (He has species he studied living in large roomy cages in his class room.) After he got tired of this job, he wrote books on defensive spells, magiacal creatures, spells in general, and books about muggles. As he also got tired of that, he accpted a job at Hogwarts. He then began to walk around the school at night, sometimes accompanying Neville. As he went missing, He accepted the job of finding Neville.

Team preference: Hogwarts search party

(Feraligatr12): Not yet accepted, Your obviously very creative, but I don't think you character is going to work very well for a Harry Potter RPG... he just belongs in a totally diffrent world...

May I please reserve a spot? It's been so long since I last joined a Harry Potter RPG--I'm so excited! However, I might not finish my signup by the end of tonight, since I'm signing up as two characters. My character will be searching outside of Hogwarts (Hogsmeade, maybe, as that's where one of my characters works)--one is both an Auror and (whatever job Rosmerta had) at the Three Broomsticks (nice combination eh?); the other was Potions master at Hogwarts between the time Slughorn retired and Rave started. (If that's okay... if you read her History, you'll see why Potions had to have been her subject.)

Kiruria

La Melancolie Noir
Yes, they're both searching outside of Hogwarts. Hmm, it'll take a while to completely finish my signup, but I do have my first character pretty much done. I'll edit in my second character when her signup is done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Natalie "Nim" Mayberry
Age: 39
Gender: Female
Species: Human...
Occupation: Auror, and clerk at the Three Broomsticks on the side
Appearance: Nim gives off the aura of a stern old woman, yet with just the right amount of softness to make her seem not that way at all. She's about 5'4" tall, a pretty average height for her age. Her curly blond hair hardly ever shines and is relatively dull in colour, and reaches partway down her back. The front parts of it, except for two short strands in the very front, are pinned back with a black barette with four purple roses on it, and with three short and shiny black ribbons hanging from it. Her eyes are a dark grayish-purple in colour, and her skin is a very light beige colour.
Nim seems to always dress as if she's going to an elegant funeral party, and her overall aura just enhances that idea. She wears a lavender shirt with long billowing sleeves and a deep blue trim at the bottom, a nice compliment to the black skirt underneath, long and made of satin and lace. Underneath those are shiny purple boots that look as if they had belonged to a jester a thouand or so years ago. On top of all this, black robes, fastened in the front with a pin that looks much like a round, palm-sized mirror. This mirror is actually a fragment of the old Mirror of Erised, although it holds only a fragment of its original abilities. Instead of showing the user the main thing one desires in life, it shows the user what he/she desires at that exact moment--often times a petty, short-term desire (for example, if the user is hungry at the moment, the mirror would show the user's favourite food, or something he/she is craving).
Nim's wand is thirteen inches long, made of rowan, with a core of a dragon heartstring. She has painted black stripes on it using Batwick's Magic-Safe Wand Paint (OOC: Totally made-up item...) on its otherwise dark brown surface.
Personality: Nim's personality is quite different from what it was when she was younger. She used to be perky, mischievous, and rebellious, and even seemed to be a little talkative (or at least "giggly") as well. Well, over the years, that personality has faded away until now, when it's almost nonexistent. Now, Nim is quiet most of the time, and tries to communicate with facial expression (or should I say "optical expression", since she mostly shows emotion with her eyes) instead of words. After all, she sometimes has a hard time putting things into words, and prefers to form ideas as pictures or thoughts. Occasionally, especially in a spell, she might try to not only say the incantation mentally, but cast it using a picture in her mind. She's a firm believer in enhancing it with hand gestures as well. When she does wish to talk, she tends to speak in a sophisticated and even pedantic matter, although she does not take that classic "whiny and braggy" tone she used to employ when she was younger. She tends to be a rather polite person overall, and is not one to make rude marks like she occasionally used to. Nim's the kind of person who has no problem with being alone, and in many cases prefers it. But there are those random moments when she'll feel comfortable entering a conversation with someone... or in rare cases, starting one.
It is also known that Nim's worst little phobia is of pain, as it is purely physical and can't be avoided. She's known not to be afraid, though, of such things as the dark, spiders, you get the idea. One of her favourite pastimes includes wandering out to places, looking for interesting sights, and hopefully discovering secret facts or locations along the way. She especially likes to do this on cloudy or foggy days, or on nights when the moon is bright. Another thing she really loves is music. She enjoys singing or humming in the shower, at the dinner table, or most anywhere else... She's also quite an animal lover as well, although she doesn't have time to keep a pet. Cats are one of her favourite animals, closely tied with ravens, snakes, and spiders. (And, well, her mother can turn into a ferret, which looks similar to a badger. And a lion is a cat. Now all houses are covered. XD)
History: Kiki grew up in a valley-based town inhabited mostly by muggles, the exact town where her mother was born. No wait, scratch that--Kiki lived the first few years of life without any mention of having a mother. Her father was a muggle, an editor for a muggle newspaper, and he lived in his quaint little house on the hillside. Life was good--the hillside was part of a benevolent residential community, and a fun little outing or activity was both possible and common there. But then, there came one day when Nim was five years old, when some woman kidnapped her in the middle of the night and brought her to a church. Of course, this was neither an ordinary woman or an ordinary church. The church tried to pass itself off as a church (it looked like an ordinary church to most people), but to witches and wizards and so-called "faithfuls" (muggles interested in magic), it looked like a fancy Victorian house. And the woman was Lilice Mayberry, her mother.
The first thing Lilice did was tell Nim that she was a witch (after telling her she was her mother, of course). Wow--did this mean that Nim could cast spells and fly on a broom? Why, actually, yes it did. (Those muggles know more than they think!) And from then on, Lilice kidnapped Nim whenever she got the chance; Dad didn't like her at all, being one of those unfortunate "mud-wallowers" who hated magic. However, there were two reasons why Nim never learned how to use magic too well: first, the kidnappings were very infrequent; Lilice had to pick times when Dad would never notice them gone, and unfortunately she was no expert at memory modification. Second, in school Nim proved to be a very ostentatious little devil, so there was fear of being blackmailed (or should I say redmailed, in case the Ministry sent Howlers) for underage wizardry and improper use of magic at the same time. Nim kept threatening her schoolmates with "curses" and "turning them into toads", but she never had the skill to follow through on those threats.
Whenever Lilice kidnapped her, either they would spend some quiet time at the "Temple of Darkness", as the church was called, or fly a long but possible way to London for the purposes of visiting Diagon or even Knockturn Alley, or maybe the Leaky Cauldron while they were at it. These "precious gem nights", as Nim called them later on, were sprinkled with a bit of magical tutoring, just enough that she would gain a general understanding of it, not so much that she could get herself in trouble in school. Lilice taught her how to use such magical tools as a wand (but didn't teach her any spells nor give her her own wand yet), a broomstick (she even got to play a Quidditch game or two with other children), and a crystal ball. She warned about the threat of Voldemort and the Death Eaters, but also thought it silly to be afraid of using the so-called "Dark Lord"'s name ("it's the same as being afraid to call any old street gang by name"). She also taught her a bit about potion-making, that being her own field of expertise--although she always made sure Nim never brought any potions back home with her. But perhaps the most important thing she taught her was that witches and wizards were not superior to muggles, and certainly purebloods are not superior to half-bloods or muggle-born witches/wizards ("Mudblood? What an insult..."). Many muggles (faithfuls, actually) wandered around and learned a lot from the Temple of Darkness, and they certainly seemed as intelligent and practical as any magic-user. And Faithfuls and Squibs were in the same boat.
Unfortunately, things started to go downhill when Nim was eight years old. First of all, her father began to witness "witchlike behaviour" in her, and immediately turned the blame to her mother. He even took Nim to church in an attempt to "purify" her, without success of course. Then, a year later, Lilice made a discovery that Joseph Ebbins, the man who had raised Nim, was not her real father; instead, that was some naughty little wizard named Dick Mobywale (OOC: Get it? XD), who had raped Lilice and blamed it on some random muggle, while supposedly Imperiused by some unknown wizard. The exact details were complicated and may have not even been correct, but it led to an argument with Joseph, which centred aroud Lilice demanding that Nim live with her from then on. It was during the fierceness of this argument that Nim began to suspect that the whole thing was her fault, that if only she had just shut up about all that magic stuff in front of Joseph and her schoolmates, none of this would have happened. But she didn't shut up, so the argument continued, and got worse. Nim feared a fight and her mother being sent to Azkaban for improper use of magic, but eventually the cunning Lilice ended it by killing Joseph in a not-so-violent way--a complicated "death potion" she invented herself. This potion is one Nim sought to try and master on her own for the rest of her life...
From then on, Nim lived with her mother, just like she really should have since she was born. But you know what that means. When she was eleven years old, she started attending Hogwarts. What made it even more interesting was the fact that she was in the exact same year as Harry Potter was, although she was in the Slytherin house. Interesting things happened while she was a student there...
Year 1: Nim dared Draco Malfoy to gaze into the Mirror of Erised (she was too afraid to look herself); he whooped loudly at whatever he saw. She never paid much attention to the Sorcerer's Stone, dismissing immortality as overrated. Also, she tried out for the Slytherin Quidditch team, but didn't make it.
Year 2: When the Chamber of Secrets opened, Nim pleaded with Dumbledore to keep the school open. At first he didn't listen because she was a Slytherin, but when she showed him a letter from Lilice, he began to reconsider... Also, Nim became especially pedantic in Defense Against the Dark Arts that year, just to show what a phony Lockhart was. She ended up frustrating Hermione in the process.
Year 3: This year, Nim paid special attention during both Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts, although she pulled the same act with Lupin as she did with Lockhart. But that was for a different reason... Also, she stopped being friends with Draco when he became so nasty to Buckbeak. And lastly, she knew (from Lilice) that Sirius was innocent, but she kept quiet about it...
Year 4: Nim's worst and best year at the same time. Worst, because the whole school seemed to be focused on the Triwizard (or should I say Quadriwizard) Tournament, and the presence of the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students annoyed her. Best, because Professor Moody occasionally emitted the words "Defense Against" in his classes. That lesson about the Unforgivable Curses was memorable.
Year 5: A very boring year for Nim, because of the pressure to pass her O.W.L's. She was for the most part foreign to anything going on with Voldemort or the Order of the Phoenix at this point. And instead of joining the D.A, she was privately (and secretly) taught by Lilice in (Defense Against) the Dark Arts, in a separate section of the Room of Requirement.
Year 6: Nim felt especially warm and happy in her Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, although Slughorn seemed to ignore her while praising Harry's fake talent. Also that year, Nim dropped out of Divination, hating the way Firenze taught it, and Care of Magical Creatures, hating the way Grubbly-Plank taught it. She was teased for being a "Trelawney and Hagrid lover".
Year 7: Although better off because she was a Slytherin, Nim couldn't help but feel sympathy for those poor muggle-borns who were kicked out, and anger towards the majority of professors, who, like the typical Death Eater, thought muggles and "Mudbloods" to be inferior. Nim was oddly hostile and quiet as a student, but things brightened up when she was recognised as a skilled Auror upon graduation, for fighting off the Death Eaters who invaded Hogwarts. Also, she was part of a group headed by Neville Longbottom to put a stop to the Death Eaters.
After leaving Hogwarts, Nim helped re-found the Order of the Phoenix alongside Harry Potter and the Malfoys, just in case any future threats to the wizarding world appeared. However, she stayed distant from Harry, guilty for not helping him out in earlier years. What's more, since there were hardly any threats to the wizarding world after Voldemort died, she didn't have much to do as an Auror. During a typical day, she either visited her mother, who by that time had become a teacher at Hogwarts (she was sometimes her assistant or substitute, in case Lilice had emotional breakdowns), or helped take care of Teddy Lupin, on her mother's suggestions. When money was short, she took on a side job at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade...
However, within less than a year, Nim moved to the Temple of Darkness, enlightened by the muggle concepts Lilice had introduced to her as a little girl. She headed this secret society in due time, emphasizing its secret identity and its positive treatment of Faithfuls. She even started to plan such things as passing pro-muggle laws through the Ministry of Magic, hopefully making A) it legal for any Muggle to become a Faithful through initiation in the Temple of Darkness, and B) Faithfuls equal to Squibs under the Ministry (and give them equal rights). Maybe, if things were in her favour, she would become the Minister herself...
(Kiruria) Natalie "Nim" Mayberry: Okay, this sign-up is really great, but I'm concerned about Nim's history. First off you made her a murder before she turned 11, and yet she's an auror... Not that, that couldn't work... but the rest of the history changes the orginal Harry Potter story, and we can't have that... so try to tone it down a bit.
Back in MY day...
Name: Edward Williams
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Occupation or Year: Transfiguration Professor
Appearance: Edward stands just a tad under 6 feet tall, and is also underweight for his age ony weighing 115 pounds. He has dirty blonde hair which is usually kept at a medium length, about halfway down his neck, and he has bangs. Edward also has dark blue eyes which are said to be his best feature. He wears khaki pants and a white collared shirt with a cerulean blue tie. Edward wears horn-rimmed glasses to to his poor sight.
Personality: Edward is very level-headed most of the time, often offering advice to his students outside of the classroom. However, when placed in a tight spot, he can be a bit rash. He can also be very sarcastic from time to time. Edward has an extreme hatred of physical activity, which is why he decided to take a job as far from flying on a broomstick as possible. Edward constantly worries about being late, so he asks others for the time, since he was too lazy to go and buy a watch himself. Lazieness is one of Edwards quirks, but he thinks of laziness as "having the will to do something, but being too caught up in yourself to do anything about it".
History: Edward was born in Bristol on February 17, in a small cottage along the short coastline on the estuary of the River Severn. At the young age of 4, Edward's parents began to notice strange occurances around the house, such as vases flying through the air and crashing into things. Since his father Michael was a squib, and his mother Alicia a witch, they concluded that Edward had magical powers and would eventually be leaving for school at Hogwarts, where his mother attended 15 years ago. In the mean while, Alicia had Edward read several books on different speels, charms, and plants to be a little more knowledgeable than other students when he started school. When he was 11, he was taken to a wand shop in Diagon Alley, since Ollivanders had long since been closed. His wand was made of elm wood with a core of unicorn hair. He also got a Maine Coone Cat which he named Ariella.
He started his journey to Hogwarts with an embarassing moment trying to stumble onto Platform 9 and 3/4. Not knowing that in the muggle world no such thing existed, he asked a conductor on one of the other platforms who replied with nothing but a hearty chuckle. Edward eventually found a kindly witch ushering her children onto the platform who also helped him to reach his ultimate destination: the Hogwarts Express. For a brief moment, he aquainted himself with her daughter and son, both 1st years, Lauren and Eric respectively. On the ride to the school, he sat with Lauren and Eric, and eventually aquainted himself with the candy-cart lady, whom he forfeited 15 galleons to after glancing at the selection and generously helping himself.
He, along with Eric and Lauren were eventually sorted into Ravenclaw.
First Year: Edward was sorted into Ravenclaw with Eric and Lauren. Also, Edward befriended a house elf by the name of Sophia. He also found an extreme interest in Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, and mostly, Transfiguration. Pretty much, nothing really happened.
Second Year: Edward joined the Quidditch Team but was removed to extreme injuries. Edward was deemed the most accident-prone person in the castle next to Professor Longbottom. Most of this second year was spent in the hospital wing, but Edward managed to finish his assigned work, brought to him by Eric and Lauren on their nightly visits, early.
Third Year: Edward began to grow romantically interested in Lauren on a trip to Hogsmead around Christmas time. Lauren was oblivious to him however, and had her own feelings for Austin Green, a Hufflepuff on the Quidditch team.
Fourth Year: Nothing particularly exciting except the return of the Dueling Club after a very long hiatus. Edward, Lauren, and Eric had a few nasty encounters with some Slytherins, but leard many new and useful spells in the process.
Fifth Year: Of course, it was time for OWLS. Edward, being one of the smartest 5th years, passed. Lauren and Eric also passed, but not without some tutoring from Edward. This is when the romance between Lauren and Edward became mutual. Lauren tried to go out with Austin, but to her dismay found out that he already had a girlfriend. Lauren sulked for a while, but after Edward lifted her spirits, she found a place in her heart for him.
Sixth Year: A fire tore through the Shreiking Shack, expected to be arson caused by a group of problematic Slytherins. Edward, having found the Shreiking Shack to be like another home since it was opened to the public, set out to find the culprits and put a few good spells to work, which he did. After using a Glacius spell to freeze the group on a trip to Hogsmead, he levitated them back to the school where not only the Slytherins, but Edward received detention. Edward was assigned to re-organizing the Potions store-room due to it's state of disarray thanks to the lax Professor Willow.
Seventh Year: Professor Longbottom and Edward tended to mandrakes after a Basalisk was rumored to be lurking under another Wizardring school in the country. Lauren and Edward became separated briefly after she was taken to St. Mungos for a run-in with an Ogre that stumbled out of the mountains and into the dungeons. Professor Willow retired after 20 years at the school, and was replaced by Professor Loeffler, a very up-tight but generous person.
Now it's twenty years after Edward left and he, as well as Lauren and Eric, are still the best of friends. Lauren and Edward are now married and have 2 children, a boy named Oliver Paul who is 15 and a 5th year, and a daughter named Ophelia Anne who is 10 and attending Hogwarts next year.
Edward, Lauren, and Eric are also members of the Order of the Phoenix after it re-formed in the midst of a seige involving Werewolfs, Ogres, The Malfoy's, and descendants of previous Death Eaters. Although the Order does not have much to do, with evil finding it harder to thrive, the order often has nice potluck dinner parties where members have friendly dueling competitions.
Hope this was an okay signup.
And if I'm accepted, could I edit later with a sign-up for another character?
(Kiruria) Natalie "Nim" Mayberry: I also just noticed your character was is too young… to have gone to school with Neville and Harry, she’d be around 60...
(legendarypokemonjunkie17) Edward Williams: Please lengthen your personality. Your history was a nice length, but could be more original… like why didn’t your witch-mom take you to the train? You may edit for a second character, but that character will have to be approved separately from Ed, so you will need to inform me of the edit.
