Holy Crap!

Wonder of Thunder!
I don't know how to say this, but a cubone is a Marowak, or a Marowak is a cubone. I thought of this when I was reading info about cubone. It said "A baby cubone gets it's skull hat from it's dead mother." And the mom would most likely be a Marowak. Doesn't this kinda make sensce....

The Pokedex is always giving info about Pokemon that aren't true.

If Pokemon were real though, I would catch a Cubone, train it until it trusts me enough... and then pretend to give it a hug and pull off its helmet. >:) I really want to know what is under that helmet!

The poor lad, he'd feel quite deceived. Well, I've always wondered what its real head looked like. But the thing is, how can all cubones take the skull from their mother's head if they're bone from eggs? Unless some cubone in the past decided to start the pattern, and the skull accidentally melded with his head. And then it was up to evolution to take its natural toll.

But then pulling off its helmet might hurt. In fact, you might kill him/her.

Yeah, maybe the skull is already blended with the head.

On topic: Yeah, that's weird. Because bones are the most notably sign of a Cubone/Marowak

You could just ask nicely if you could have a peek under the helmet, because I'm dying to know too. :p

Kingdra

WHY?!?!
The pokedex does give alot of false, or crazy information... like it said kingdra causes whirlpools when it yawns. But it's a possibility that Marowak die when giving birth and the Cubone takes it's outer skull thingy.

Agreed/10.

Hell, the very concept of how Chamander and it's evolutions exists is a sketchy prospect; there's no probable explanation as to how they could survive moves like Surf or Whirlpool.

They are the only starter Pokemon that I can be convinced are an endangered species; makes it easier to think about why there's only one.

I had this one theory about how Cubone/Marowak are actually Kangaskhan whose mothers died and that the mothers always die when they give birth to males.

The pokedex for Glalie says that it freezes its foe and leasurely eats it.

Yeah, it also says that it got them from the banoes of ancient pokemon, so iT could be a Kabutops as well.

Okay, this is stupid. I don't know what to say but to think before you create a thread next time. -_-'

I think that Pokedex entry for Cubone could just be specifically talking about that baby Cubone that lives with Mr. Fuji. That Cubone's mother was the Marowak that Team Rocket killed, so it's highly possible that particular Cubone could be wearing the skull of its dead mother. Keep in mind that this Pokedex entry was actually written in the days of RBY before genders or breeding even existed, it was just transferred over to the 3rd Generation games.
