Spooky
Putting this up now without an rp sample, going to edit that in in a little bit!
Edit: Done!

Part One: Human
Name: Natalie Flynn
Legendary: Entei
Gender: Female
Hometown: Solaceon Town

Appearance: Standing at 5'5" Natalie is pretty average in the height department, but she is noticeably more muscular than most girls her age. Natalie possesses an oval face flecked with freckles. Her ginger hair is fairly long, reaching the bottom of her shoulder blades, but she normally wears it up in a high ponytail. Her prominent eyes are a light brown.

A normal outfit of Natalie's consists of her signature vest jacket, a long sleeved gray shirt, and gray jeans. It is honestly quite rare to see her out and about without her jacket, which is red with tan fluff around the collar. Another signature accessory of hers is a pair of dark metal bands worn on either wrist, but these are not immediately noticeable because of her sleeves. She wears a pair of gray sneakers that resemble soccer shoes, but without the cleats. All of her items are kept in a dark drawstring bag.

Personality: Natalie is incredibly driven and will power through any task she sets her mind to, although her success at any one task depends on its location on a scale from physical to intellectual. Being completely honest, she was really never good at any traditional subject, be it math, science, history, or english. She doesn't resent this fact anymore, after a long time wrestling with it she's come to accept that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and passing on this message to others struggling is important to her. She'll always try to cheer someone up if they're feeling down about their abilities.

Although Natalie loves to give advice to others, she has a hard time talking about her own problems, even to close friends and family. Instead, she likes to find quiet, out of the way places to be alone and think things over herself, tolerating only the company of Caitlin. Often her place of respite was the ruins on the edge of Solaceon, and her repeated visits there eventually sparked and interest in the ruins in their own right. At least once a week she'd visit the ruins, working on a mental map of its layout. However, she's had no luck deciphering the strange carvings on the walls.

Being the youngest of three, Natalie is a fair bit more charismatic than her sisters, having to always compete with them for attention growing up. She's a trusting and loyal girl with a keen interest in fairness, but a slight bias for the underdog. Setting a good example for the younger generation in these troubled times is one of her goals, and she never turns away from someone seeking advice or consolation.

History: Natalie's parents both came from towns other than Solaceon, but admired the calm pace of the rural town, deciding to settle down together there. Their first child was born seven years before Natalie, and the second two years before Natalie. The oldest proved to be a gifted writer, pursuing a career in journalism. Natalie never had much of a relationship with her, especially after she moved to Jubilife for her job, but it's been about four months since anyone in the family has heard from her and they're all a bit worried. The second oldest was more inclined toward the sciences, specifically plant biology, likely caused by her parents reminiscing about the great agricultural center Solaceon was before Team Shadow took over. She is much closer to Natalie, and some of her interest in plants actually rubbed off on her younger sister. As a result, botany is really the only subject Natalie performs decently in.

The Flynn family was never known for producing talented trainers, but considering they now lived in a town with a Pokemon daycare, it was impossible to not get their children Pokemon of their own. On her tenth birthday the oldest sister received a Budew, and five years later both of the younger sisters received their Pokemon, unclaimed twin Growlithes from the daycare. At first this was a cause for controversy, Natalie's sister thought it was unfair that she had to wait to get her Pokemon but Natalie was able to get hers early. As time passed, though, their close bond grew out of the fact they raised the twin Pokemon together. Because of the lack of natural light, it was very lucky of them to get the fire type Pokemon, which allowed them to better raise plants with the light from their fires. It also made navigating the ruins easier for Natalie.

Although Natalie wasn't great in school, she proved to be gifted in many sports, her favorite turning out to be soccer. It was through her success in this hobby that she was able to overcome her insecurities about her talents. She and Caitlin love to run around Solaceon and its outskirts together when they're not exploring the ruins because of all its open space.

Other: Always carries around a handful of berries.

Part Two: Pokemon
Name: Caitlin
Species: Growlithe
Gender: Female
Personality: Very loyal and obedient, seeks to please her owner. Isn't averse to battling, but likes to keep the peace outside of battles. Has never been separated from her sister before and will have a hard time adjusting to being away from her at first.
Other: Bite, Roar, Ember, Odor Sleuth

Part Three: RP Sample

In almost graceful sort of way, August managed to stuff a cold Pop Tart in his mouth and put on his jacket at the same time. He was going to be late for work. His first day, too; what an impression. He snatched his keys and briefcase from off the kitchen table, slipped out the front door, and into his car. If he hurried, maybe he could avoid being horrendously late. He turned the keys in the ignition and was off, at a speed that must have been well over the limit. He overlooked the occasional stop sign, but was forced to stop at a red light. He tapped his fingers on the wheel impatiently, and slid a hand into his pocket to retrieve his cell phone. No wonder he hadn't gotten some kind of message from his sister reminding him that he was late yet, his phone was off. He powered it on, and just as he had predicted, there was one message. The light changed to green, and with an admirable amount of skill, he managed to drive while reading the text, and then even replying to it.

To: Mandy
From: August
Subject: Re: Nvm

You know I like to be fashionably late (; Dont bother im almost there.

With a blatant disregard for proper punctuation, he hit the send button and returned the phone to his pocket. With his eyes finally back on the road, August could once again decide which signs were actually worth stopping at, and which he could get away with not. Within ten minutes, he was pulling into the NCIS parking lot. He had made pretty good time.

The elevator dinged, signaling that it had reached its destination, and opened its doors. August stepped out and immediately spotted his sister, along with three others who he didn't recognize, and figured were part of Gibb's team. "Hey, Mandy, what'd I miss so far?" he called to her as he made his way over to the small group. He offered the three agents each a smile and his hand to shake, "I'm August Carmicle, one of the new agents to be working here, nice too meet you." he said with enthusiasm. The floor they were on seemed to be rather empty, maybe he needn't have bee so worried about being a few minutes late. "I suppose I have a lot to learn, being the new guy, huh?" Besides himself and his sister, there was another girl who seemed as if she was new around NCIS, and he began to wonder how many people the Director had hired, because it seemed as if the new arrivals were quickly outnumbering the actual agents.

Part One: Human
Name: Renee Dudley
Legendary: Genesect
Gender: Female
Hometown: Oreburgh City

Appearance: (Think Gijinka... sort of..)
Renee's most shocking feature is her dark-red head of hair. She has the bangs over her eyes trimmed higher than her others, with her longest strands going down from just in front of her ears to her lower shoulder. Around back, she's grown out a military cut to a ragged layered cut reaching that same length, and on the sides she lets her hair that hasn't grown long enough to do anything with continue growing, though it looks a bit silly.

She stands at just 4'11" and 90 pounds, a tiny little thing with a pear-shaped frame and tiny arms. Her pale complexion is marked by freckles across her nose and over her shoulders, spilling out onto her arms. She wears corrective glasses over her red eyes, a white bandage around her neck, a purple sleeveless shirt, black pants (the type with those silly zip-off legs), and a light-purple sash around her waist and fingerless gloves.
renee.png

Personality:
Renee didn't ever have normal interaction with other humans. In fact, she spent more of her formative years amongst a clan of Scyther than with other humans. It's resulted in her being more than a little weird, especially when combined with her early Team Shadow indoctrination. Since she was influenced from such an early age, her programming is largely in-line with Team Shadow ideals.

Renee shares a special bond with Scyther. While she can't understand their speech any better than any human can understand other Pokemon, she has learned their body language, economy, and social structure. It's not unusual for her to use said body language even with humans, which often leads to misunderstandings (smiling, for instance, is a threatening action for most Pokemon, Scyther included. When Renee is showing her teeth, it doesn't mean that she's happy). She's appears more happy around Scyther than with other Pokemon or humans.

Since her body language is different, most people think Renee is cold and emotionless. She seems disinterested in whatever she is doing, though she'll get it done if it's within her skillset. She lashes out seemingly without warning, and it's often hard to guess what she'll do next. She'll take control if she suspects she's the strongest of a group, fighting for that position if necessary, but if she's beaten she will cede the position without apparent resentment.

That doesn't mean, however, that she's emotionless at all: far from it, in fact. If one knows how to interpret her, one will find that she's incredibly loyal and enjoys simply being in the presence of friends. She's highly protective of them and tends to stick with them, as she believes firmly in the power of numbers.

But her expressions of this emotion are very muted: though at one point she may have used the language of Scyther to express it, in the real world many such actions are frowned-upon, and so, after much chastisement, she now normally keeps her emotions to herself. While she still might high five, snuggle, or play-fight easier than some, these displays are sudden and immediately followed by a scared return to rigid normalcy.

History:
When Team Shadow invaded and overthrew Team Plasma, Scientist Dudley took his family and retreated to Oreburgh City. Soon after, his wife gave birth to Renee. Life was pleasant for a while, even under the Team's shadow, but Scientist Dudley couldn't avoid notice forever. When Renee was four years old, Team Shadow invaded her home and exterminated her family. When they attempted to destroy the child, though, their Scythers protected her, and eventually they instead took her to headquarters, where this interaction was studied and she was cultured as a Shadow operative.

By the age of 15, having shown aptitude with canons and the involved mathematics, she was placed in active duty, and eventually became a high-ranking soldier in an artillery unit. For a while, she managed this position well-enough, but the stress, combined with her volatile age and seperation from her "family", led to near tragedy. On her 16th birthday, she took a knife, climbed up to her watchpost, and slit her own throat. She was found, miraculously still alive, when the next shift came, and, after psychological evaluation, was deemed unfit for a combat role. She was transferred to a patrol position in Resort Area, where she is still working in present day. To ensure her mental recovery, she's been granted ownership of one of her clan's Scyther.

Other:
Scyther and Scizor are apparently the only Pokemon especially protective of her.
Renee means "Reborn", which I thought particularly-well-suited for a fossil Pokemon.
Renee compulsively collects hard drives and floppy disks... no one has been able to figure out why.

Part Two: Pokemon
Name: Crush
Species: Scyther
Gender: Male
Personality:
Crush is defensive of Renee, more than any normal Pokemon/Trainer relationship would make a Scyther. She often keeps him out of his Pokeball, and the two of them spend much time simply sitting with each other or having mock battles.
Other:
Moveset: Pursuit, False Swipe, Wing Attack, Fury Cutter

Part Three:
Lady Doswell's mount was, in fact, not a horse at all. Horses didn't smile that way, or have hands like those, or dress in snappish tones of grey, or drive expensive cars, or blow stuff up. Her stead did all of these. Not presently, for most of them, but knowing Amadeus Tudios' reputation, one could guess that those he wasn't doing at this exact moment, he had been doing in the recent past. Because, well, blowing things up was his main hobby, and he, contrary to the way it seemed, hadn't walked all the way to the tea party with a lady perched atop his shoulders.

"And here we are, ma'am, at the very doorstep of luxury. I shall assume that you wish to come down, and assist you in that momentarily." Deus gave the male host his loopsided grin, and a platter of cookies. "I come bearing beautiful women and baked deliciousness. And, if that's not enough, I've got something else in the car, but I had to leave that at the end of the driveway when I saw this poor lady in desperate need of hilarious transport." Once the cookies were firmly within McClaud's hands, he helped his rider down gracefully. He nodded to each other ladies, resting his eyes appreciatively on the two mustaches in attendance. But then he was off again, back down the driveway. Maybe there were other ladies awaiting ferry.

Or maybe he just had to get a "surprise" from his car.

I have a random question: if there is no sunlight, then how do plants exist? It would be very expensive to grow plants from energy produced from coal, oil, or natural gas unless Team Shadow invested in environmentally conscious energy sources to provide the required electricity. Or is every consumable synthesized in a lab?

Part One: Character
Name: Silence Dogood
Legendary: Giratina
Gender: Male who looks, dresses and acts female.
Hometown: Sunyshore City

Appearance: Silence Dogood is a petite lad(y) of scrawny build, reaching up to 1.4 metres tall. He generally wears a black gothic lolita-styled dress along with several areas on the dress being gold-hued, including the waist area and some ribbons. He has a rather huge, black ribbon surrounding his waist that can be seen to end with two blood red tips at the end.

His skin is pure white. He has a blue left eye and his left eye is sealed by a medical eyepatch. He wears black gloves. His hair, styled in a hime-cut, is white as snow, at times endowed with a gold-hued headband. He often carries a black umbrella with ends resembling Giratina's wings.
Personality: Silence Dogood, as his name suggests, is a silent one. He is so silent, almost no one knows his true gender, and those who do often forget until something hits them in the head! He may rarely speak, and rarely show emotions through his face, but that does not mean he lacks a personality. Silence tends to shy away from others, due to his shy and timid nature. Silence, despite coming from a rich family, is knowledgable of many things, rich or poor, big or small, major or minor. As much as he doesn't like approaching others except genderless Pokemon, he won't normally accept an approach from another person. It is said that many can attempt to befriend him, but many fail as he constantly shies away.
History: Silence Dogood was born to a wealthy family, the Dogoods, who specialised in training genderless Pokemon. Silence's father was a Steel-Type Gym Leader who used to work in a faraway region before returning only recently, and Silence's mother died when he was only 13. There is still his sister.

Since young, Silence has read up many things in the mansion's library. Ranging from Trainer basics to Pokemon mythology. This allowed him to be highly knowledgable in many areas. He rarely went out since he was anti-social, thus had few to no friends.

When his mother died, his sister suffered the most, emotionally. He knew that no one could replace their mother. Despite this, he decided to crossdress, grow his hair out and take on a motherly role towards his sister, caring for her. It wasn't much of a social problem since he had neither friends to leave him nor foes to pick on him.

One day, while he was playing with his sister, a Rotom appeared in the house. Without hestitation, Silence grabbed a glass jar to contain the Rotom, before letting it out later and befriending it. This was how Silence met Rotom.
Other: His/her Pokeballs have black in place of red, and the buttons are red. He likes ice cream.

Part Two: Pokemon

Name: N/A
Species: Rotom
Gender: N/A
Personality: Rotom is one who is constantly beaming with positive emotions. Rotom loves a harmless prank every once in a while, and will stop and nothing to fool about. When he is nowhere to be found, he is probably enjoying the electric circuits of the electricity-filled Sunyshore City. The only person who can stop him from pulling pranks is Silence, and apart from that, no other person has been known to control Rotom.
Other: Rotom only listens to Silence, and will only listen to others when Silence befriends them. Moveset: Shadow Ball, Discharge, Will-O-Wisp. When altering forms, Rotom can learn a new move in respect.

Taken from S P I R I T

"Alright, calm down, I can do this alone... I can do this alone..." Colby panicked, before taking a deep breath. The gothloli-clad child-like android walked down the woods. The creatures that were said to be hiding here were known as giants.
Colby knew about giants, specifically the Jotunn from Norse Mythology. They originate from Jotunnheimr, and were rather huge. He was unsure whether these were Jotunn or another variety of giants.
Just then, a giant threw a huge trunk at Lucas, the leader of his new team. While Lucas told the team to stand back, Colby dashed forward as cyan metal appeared to pop out of nowhere and latch onto his arm. It then formed an orange-and-purple extension with a circular buzzsaw at the end.
When Lucas was almost exhausted, Colby then sliced the giant trunk into numerous pieces, before he consumed whatever he could. He then did a little twirl as he retracted his violent weapon, while any remaining chunks of the trunk rained behind him.
Colby Stilton has faced the legendary Yamata-no-Orochi before, a creature that too, had incredible size. However, he was with his sister, and that beast walked on fours.
Well, he was with a whole team, so he would be fine.

"Need a little help, sir?" Colby winked in an effeminate fashion, since everyone is supposed to believe he is a girl.

Here goes... Colby thought as a purple, gear-like spell circle appeared on his back and he generated plane-like wings on his back, both cyan, and he generated a purple-orange blaster-like appendage that wrapped around and replaced his left arm, using a similiar-looking spell circle. He was ready to strike. With utmost accuracy, he was ready to launch a volley of splinters at the giants.
"Permission to attack, sir?" Colby spoke in a feminine, adorable voice before winking to Lucas. Believe it or not, this was how Colby spoke and acted most of the time, especially when in combat.

Maybe people lived off of canned goods for a while? If one is going to plunge the world into darkness, then they should have plans. I think that they created food in the lab or are using Pokemon to produce light (through electricity or flames).

Okay. That works. We are officially using wayjun's idea.

another possibility could be that they used Pokemon and their Sunny Day moves.

That would fall under "using Pokemon". Sunny Day would probably bring out the sun, which would defeat the whole purpose of plunging the planet into darkness. It would probably also count as "natural sunlight", since it uses the sun (I'm guessing).
