Horrible Luck in Pokemon

Raptor737

Mage of Void
I feel like raging when some random pokemon throw Doom seeds at my pokemon or partners. I've worked hard for those levels and they just destroy that with a stupid seed >_<
That happened too many times :(
Don't you gain back those levels insanely fast though? Sorry if it's wrong, I just started replaying my Explorers of Time and Red Rescue.

Anyway, losing a shiny Dratini in the Safari Zone in FireRed. My excitement plummeted.
Having a shiny Graveler selfdestruct in an emulator and losing a shiny Tailow in the beginning of another because I just started it, had no Pokeballs, and was training my starter.

What do I do now?
In Emerald: Groudon always and I do mean always, hitting me with fissure as if it had 100% accuracy

Training a Solosis on route 4 that knows Recover, Psyshock, Psychic, and Light Screen. Then running into 19 Sandile's in a row that all know Sand Tomb and are impossible to escape from. FML

The game is designed to work against you. Just yesterday I was trying to hatch an adamant shroomish for my sapphire team and got like ten modest ones and twice as many lax ones, eventually I got what I was looking for but it took ****ing hours! Yet when I tried to hatch a brave aron I got it in the first three eggs I hatched. Basically everything you do in the game is based around luck. Also in regards to accuracy for certain moves, I don't think that this really applies to npc. Since like you said they never seem to miss.

Yes this is how I feel. Once when I was doing a playthrough I wanted my team to have good natures and it took like an hour to get a good nature (and gender) So because of that I have decided IDC about natures as long as their not horrible.

I don't know, I haven't checked how much EXP I needed for next level. But you're right, it's easy to get the EXP back by doing a harder dungeon.

Aaaaand wow, I just arrived in a room with an outlaw and then got a Monster House to boot. The outlaw music was playing until I beat him, then the Monster House music started... at least I'm always prepared (and not when out of orbs) for one <_>

A Failed Experiment
A few days ago during my HG run, I was battling Whitney. Out of 10 Stomps from her Miltank, 3 were crits and 4 caused flinching. The other few times, my Pokemon were immobilized by love. :/

I just had some pretty horrible luck in Platinum. I was fighting the ice-type gym, with 3 Pokemon left against Froslass. It uses double team. Empoleon proceeds to miss with flash cannon 5 times and aqua jet twice, Gabite misses with Dragon Claw, and Rapidash misses with Flame Wheel and Fire Blast multiple times. I lose the match -.-

I also have terrible luck with confusion, once my Pokemon gets confused it usually ends up hurting itself until it faints.

Losing a 6v6 wifi OU match on PO level 100 each..

Reason? I was paralyzed, flinched, and immobilized by love the entire duration -.-

Metronome :
Getting explosion three times in a row -.-
Getting Lunar Dance, Memento, and Healing Wish three times in a row.

Oh no, Explorers of Time just trolled me hard :( So I was on a mission and my partner fell in the Pitfall trap. All my pokemon are level 99 and in a few runs they'll all be lvl 100. So when that happened, I thought, okay well I can still continue with Manectric. On the next floor, Manectric fell thru a Pitfall trap and I was like 'oh snap' and when my escort fell on the next step as well, I was seriously annoyed. I was a few floors away from the destination :(

Back before I began EVing any of my Pokemon, whenever I encountered a Watchog in Battle Subway, it would most nearly always mean certain doom for my team. Hypnosis --> continue to obliterate my team.

Running into a shiny Pokemon that can use Self Destruct/Explosion OR a shiny in the Safari Zone would be the worst luck ever.

Tracking and capturing Entei.

Spent about 5 hours, a total of 10-15 encounters, with a Golbat that knew both Mean Look and Taunt, and a Sneasel that knew False Swipe. 1 HP left and Entei still would not be caught for another hour or so. The thing was stubborn.

Having 10 Pokemon encounters in a 10x10 high grass patch. -.- Purely painful.

Yesterday when battling Grimsley in White, his Purloin used attract on my Togekiss and he was 'immobilized by love' nine times in a row. I had to waste two Full Restores before I could use Aura Sphere.
