Hello all, I'm having trouble catching ;228; Houndour in the Safari Zone in Emerald. It is rare and when I do find it, it runs away after throwing two Safari Balls at it. I need help catching it, because I want to use it in my new Sapphire Team, which if I catch it, I will use in my Sapphire. So any tips on how to catch him, since he is so hard to find and catch. I appreciate any help.

although houndours arent as hard to snag..
butyeh. id just keep throwing balls until it finally gets caught.

Throw some pokeblocks. They make it less likely to run.

Thanks for the advice all. I have trouble with ;113; Chansey too and also ;128; Tauros on my FR. I'll try later once I've done my homework.

Sorry to double post, but just an update, I caught ;228; Houndour. After five Safari Balls without pressing any buttons to try and make the ball catch it, I caught it. Thank you all and Mods can close this topic.
