How can your computer run dubs and not fansubs? Media files are common on a PC...except for MKVs that is, plus you know DivX and H264 codecs would be recommended. Other than that, it's a technically BAFFLING explanation on how that's even possible.
Wow, add that to my list of "Dumb excuses by the technologically ignorant."

Well, my 98 I use to have couldn't handle the fansubs AT ALL, it could only handle extremely low quality ones.

Anyway what annoyed me more was the pain in the rear Naruto nerds who do nothing but complain that it was the end of the world because Naruto was dubbed. It hadn't even come out yet and it was already labeled a bad dub. Sad world we live in. -_-

Finally, someone said what I was going to say!
It seems like people are always bashing on anime when its going to be translated...like its going to be automatically bad, such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, etc., then they watch it and actually enjoy it. So, they go back and say, 'I was going to love it all along.'
I really hate hypocrites.Anyway, I think someone is always entitled to their opinion, no matter how biased it may be. And like Tetsusaigas Windscar said, as long as you enjoy it, who gives a crap about what other people think?

aah don't even say such scary words, Naruto under the hands of 4kids! just the thought of that scares me. knowing that they would give some lame joke for name changes (i bet you that they would do something lame like call Gara Sandy!) as well as edit stuff possibly even more so then One Piecs got! so lets not even try to think about such a scary thought! unless of cource it's for joke purposes like to come up with what sort of stupidity they would come up with, thats ok then! oh and Kojiro, as far as the problem with your old CPU goes, might i suggest going to LINK REMOVED! that souuld cover for the One Piece fansubs!

I just don't like Rukia's voice. I love Studiopolis (or California dubs in general...because I'm a smug arsehole!) and I love Michelle Ruff as an actress but she ain't Rukia...and yes I know that's not a proper contraction, blame it on the Bleach dub.
I thought the VA working at Dreamcatchers did a better job and sounded more "younger" by comparison.
I should just keep watching like Naruto just to see how the voices are...
I remember having a short dispute with my roommate over this kind of thing once. See, he's a subbie. A big one. A big new popular anime comes out in Japan, and he's all over it. And apparently, he believes that 4Kids is the only dubbing company in existence--or at least, that's the first company that springs to his mind when he talks about dubs. My bet's on the latter, and he probably does it 'cause he doesn't really know who dubs shows like Naruto or Bleach. So both times we got to talking about the Naruto dub, I had to remind him that ViZ dubs it and that they're infinitely better than 4Kids.
I dunno, but I think that certain dubs by 4Kids (Yu-Gi-Oh! and One Piece in particular, I imagine) kinda corrupted him as far as many dubs are concerned--probably more so than his utmost faithfulness to the original versions. Even though he says he watched through the first major arc of Naruto, he still seemed to have the idea that most dubs for daytime TV are, well, cut to pieces like YGO and OP were, and that Naruto was really just one big exception, or something along those lines. He said he still preferred the subbed version, because while the dub voices were good enough to capture the personalities of their characters, he still thought the originals were better--probably because of his attachment to the original in the first place. Me? The only voice for which I prefer the original so far is Naruto's. For everyone else, I either like 'em about the same or prefer the dub voices.

Gaia Online is basically a paradise for dub-bashers of all sorts. You can't walk for ten paces in any direction without bumping into some retard spewing blasphemy against Steve Blum, Johnny Yong Bosch, or anyone else involved with Bleach or Naruto; oddly enough, Vic Mignogna, Greg Ayres, and their Texan ilk are practically worshipped around those parts (no FMA bashing there, obviously).
At least the moderates and radicals are for the most part united in their loathing of One Piece.

It's really annoying, especially when you have to deal with Otakus and Wapanophile freaks, they didn't even give VAs a chance who work hard to attain the true theme of several anime. It's irritating, I agree. Bias toward the original version just because it's made by the Japanese. Bah. How disgusting of their ignorance. Yu-Gi-Oh by 4Kids was okay... Before they decided to continue milk off of it with their own continuation, Capsule Monsters. I think it was better for them to just dub something not make something. -_-;;;
