how can doduo fly

i teach fly to my doduo and it learn it ............how can it fly?

Perhaps it jumps to incredible heights in a way that imitates flight? Based on how fast and flexibley it runs, it should have the nessecary musclepower to pull off that kind of leap.

It's been bugging me too..but now I'm starting to think doduo and dodrio are bustards, a sort of large bird that can fly short distances. How one can fly from ever grande to rustboro is beyond me though...

It doesn't explain those large bodies of water, but it's been shown in the anime (Ash's battle with Falkner) that Doduo and Dodrio can jump to such heights and for such great distances that it's almost as good as flying.

I guess that since its a Flying type, it has to learn Fly, no matter if it appears incapatable to do so.

But I suppose long distance jumping is the more logical answer.

Zubat. Golbat. Natu. They can't learn it so why does Doduo/Dodrio have to? Bounce seems more suitable.

Ever watched Captain Caveman? Ever seen how he pulls random objects and animals out of his mangy, overgrown fur at any given time? Well, obviously, it's the same story with Doduo. I mean, just look at that fuzzball of a body. You can't tell me Doduo doesn't have a jet engine or a set of propeller blades stored underneath all that downy fluff.

I doubt Bounce would really suit, needs to be more of a jumping action. Bounce does that, but after a spring into the air. Now that I've spoken about this, it does seem appropriate for it to learn Bounce.

A doduo is able to fly without wings due to its aerodynamically designed body that lets it sorta speed through the air after a good run. Kinda like an airplane taking off except Doduo doesn't need wings.

Or it could just flap its heads together as though they were wings.

Sky Jump, huh? More Pokemon should learn Fly then, Blaziken and Rapidash spring to mind.

Anywaaayy, if Tails the Sonic character can fly by spinning his tails around, Doduo might be able to do it with its heads. :B
