How can I make the ULTIMATE Tyranitar?

Stuff.
Hey guys, I just got back into Pokemon recently after an 8 month leave of absence (don't ask why...), and I'm looking to make the best Tyranitar possible (don't ask why I chose Tyranitar). When I say best, I mean overall excellent. I'll do whatever it takes through breeding, ev training, purchasing vitamins, teaching it tms, etc. Just explain to me how to make the best Tyranitar ever and I'll do what I can. I'm not going to be battling other players for now, but I'm looking towards the future (Diamond and Pearl), and it might be nice to be able to battle others with ease, as well as absolutely destroy the elite four.

Thanks for the input of anyone willing to contribute and aid me in my strange conquest to create the ultimate Tyranitar.

Oh, I actually do have somewhat of an idea on what to do, but it's probably all wrong:

;248; Tyranitar, 252 Atk evs, 252 Def evs, 6 HP evs (not sure about these)
Adamant nature (this seems good...)
Equipped: Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Crunch
-???
-???

Thanks again for taking the time!

Well first off breeding is the best way to get a larvitar with high IVs and a good nature. Use the IV calc on the main site

Tyranitar
252 Atk evs, 252 Speed evs, 6 HP evs
Adamant nature
Equipped: Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance
-Rock Slide
-Brick Break

Best thing to do is get a good female Tyranitar with an adamant nature and let it hold an everstone and breed to learn Dragon Dance and keep trying till u get some with good IVs

Ok, those things sound pretty good. Why is brick break good though? Also, can't it be a female larvitar? Why does it need an everstone? One last question, What breed compatible pokemon know Dragon Dance?

ok i forgot to mention ,unless u have emerald the everstone female thing wont work

as for dragon dance, youll need a male altaria with DD and a femal charmander, breed till u get a mal charmander with DD,then breed it with a female Larvitar

Yes brick break is a good move, fighting, 100 accuracy, good power

Brick break is a filler move. You can also replace it for Taunt to prevent something like paralyzation, etc.

Doesn't matter about which stage of evolution.

If you have Emerald, making an adamant Larvitar/Pupitar/Tyranitar hold it would mean that the offspring will have the same nature.

Altaria is the only one that can breed and know Dragon dance naturally (I think), but it can't breed with Tyranitar. Try breeding a female Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard with Altaria, then make the offspring (with DD, of course) breed with Tyranitar.

brick break is bad on T-Tar, because as it is EQ and RS deal effective damage to everything other than claydol, flygon, and breloom.

everstone breeding works only on emerald, and only to pass on the female's nature.

there are two good tyranitar sets: DDTar and Tyraniboah

DDTar @ leftovers
adamant nature
EVs: 252 attack, enough EVs to get to 200 speed at level 100 (which is 168 if you have a 31 IV), the rest in HP/SDef
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Rest/Taunt/Thunder Wave

tyraniboah @ leftovers (mostly a Netbattle/competitive set, to counter skarmbliss)
quiet nature
EVs: 252 HP/200 SAtk/56 Atk (must have a 31 HP IV)
-Crunch
-Thunderbolt
-Substitute
-Focus Punch

I'd suggest that you use DDTar, as it's better for ingame. and i think it's even being used more on NB right now.

You also might want to replace Brick Break with Return. It's 100% accurate, and it's a lot stronger then Brick Break (When the user is at full happiness). With an adamant nature, Return is a killer.

and you can learn it from trading from Xd for some poke(Check site)to learn it with D-dance and Rock slide

Ok, here's what I would do.

Adamant Nature
EV train in Attack and Speed

Dragon Dance
Iron Tail
Earthquake
Brick Break

don't use iron tail. 75% accuracy isn't worth it, and steel mostly sucks as an attacking type. and with all three of those moves, you still do NVE damage to anything that's electric/fire/water and flying. rock slide/EQ only has a problem with claydol/flygon/breloom. and since rock slide gets STAB, it's much stronger.

just use DD/EQ/RS/Rest.

Ok, I looked some stuff up. I've got to raise a male gyrados, breed it with a female charmander, breed that with tyranitar. All's good. Ok, thanks, I'm ready.

here is my best tyranitar
tyranitar /adamant
earth quake
brick break
dragon claw
dragon dance
teach it dragon claw because dragon type moves are not super effective against tyranitar rock/dark

Vampiric Knight

No sense there at all.

And not any other type except dragons. Even if you would face a dragon, Rock slide'll take care of them (Salamence, Dragonite, and Quaza are the most commonly used nowadays)

don't give adamant T-Tar special attacks, it's a waste. GIVE IT A STAB MOVE (Rock Slide)!

you could use altaria instead of gyara. it learns it at level 40, instead of 50.

What 'bout My Star?
Breeding a Larvitar is a good way to do it or do what I did, use an Action Replay and catch a Lvl2 Tyrannitar, of corse i screwed up my ruby but, it works!
Tyranitar@Bright Powder
Naughty Nature
Crucnch
Rock Slide
Earth Quake
Outrage (EG)

Is crunch a stab move? Things are going pretty well so far. Thanks for the help guys. Right now I've got a lvl 50 gyrados male with dragon dance. I'm still trying to breed to get a female charmander. Then I'm going to breed gyrados with charmander, from that get a male charmander with ddance and breed that with larvitar until it has adamant nature and good ivs.

Ok, I'm thinking of doing rest, but I'm wondering if that's available through a tm, breeding, or move tutor...

Also, once I finally get a suitable tyranitar, how should I go about ev training? Do I need to use vitamins (carabos, protein, etc) as well, and if so, when?
