• Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if possible. Make sure you are secure.

How come I can't get my own avatar?

Regular users don't have the option to get a custom avatar, regardless of how long you've been around or how many posts you've got. You do get an extensive library of avatars Serebii offers, however.

So! To answer your question, why doesn't Serebii let you upload your own avatar? Because unfortunately, it uses up bandwidth, so it's a lot easier on the forums if folks only get to have avatars already uploaded to the server.
