• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

How disappointed would you be if the Pokemon Anime ended?

Show is already dead...

It was cool untill after Battle Frontier. Now its like the rest of the shows, one giant friendship speech! I say reboot! New characters, new theme songs, same old pokémon (except for Unova and D&P, god that was painful to see. At least D&P had good pokémon.) Ash should become league champion, then slowly train the new guy (in the backround) then have an epic battle between 15 new guy and 50 year old Ash! Or he could die in a car crash. Either or.

To comment on previous post. I would be disipointed if they cancled production of DVDs and banned episodes online (like Megas XLR). But canceling new episodes is fine if they give it an ending (but please, no friendship speeches).

I wouldn't. I can't watch the anime now without cringing (other than the first season). The movies are fine though. It all started to get on my nerves once DP started.

I wouldn't be dissapointed, the anime has to end sometime and I can't keep burning DVDs forever as I'd no longer have room for them everntually. As long as it gets a really good send-off in the final episode with a good storyline, I'll be more than happy.

I would be EXTREMELY dissapointed, if it ended soon. I think that the anime still has something to offer, and I personally look forward to it every Saturday, as I have since I was like, 10. Though it has it's flaws, there's a reason that it's still so popular, imo. Now to say that I NEVER want it to end... Now that's just naive.

To be canceled, yes, I would be utterly disappointed. No closer equals no happy me.

Now if it were to end, yes, I would be upset but in a happier way. Ending Ash's story would also vary; if it's a well wrapped story, yes I'll be okay with it. I'll get over it, too. One of the first shows I grew up with, and it were to end in front of my eyes; that's a blessing to watch.

I'd be a little bit sad, though I wouldn't mind them replacing Ash. Honestly, I think he should have gotten replaced after DP because of how he seems to have been made a little kiddier in BW compared to DP & AG.

TM87? I got TM32 :]
If it just suddenly stopped airing, I'd be sad since it was part of my childhood.
If it got a awesome last episode, I'd be happy.

I would fall into total sadness, Pokemon is one of the best anime series ever.

If it were to end, they might have all the main cast reunite. That I'd love to see.

They could have done this back in the early days, but now, Its too late. Ash needs to stay in the Anime. After all, he is the one we've been watching since the OS. I wouldn't mind a new protagonist for the newer Generations, but wouldn't feel the same anymore. Its the writers who needs to improve Ash's character.

I would like to see that too. Plus, Dawn never met Misty, so that would be nice for all of Ash's friends to unite.
As for Iris and Cilan, not sure If they wanna go to the Kanto region~ xD

Yeah some people say that Pokemon needed to end years ago but looking at the reality of it actually ending is more sad than we think. It's been a very popular show fro mthe beginning for most people in their childhoods. I don't see how could we not be atleast alittle disappointed of it ending.
