how do i defeat misty?

You don't. Why dont you just catch a Bellsproutor oddish or something? Haven't you trained any other pokemon?

See if you can find a grass or electic type. That should help you lots. Just realing on Charmeleon won't get you anywhere.

Pikachu will Really help if you make it learn Thunderbolt but Thundershock helps too.
Bellsprout/Oddish will help too.
Sleep powder so you can stall time.

How I won: It was hard. Butterfree stalled with sleep powder,whilst using confusion. Starmie was a Pain so I made it sleep and weakened it with my Pika and finished it off with my Butterfree!

Beware: Misty uses Super Potions,so always keep your gaurd up cos sometimes if Staryu/mie is just about to faint she'll heal them.Water pulse is powerful and can confuse!

bring lots of potions/super potions and Good luck!

Ok I know how to handle this... go ahead and train your Charmelion to lv 34 or 35 and then it will learn Flamethrower, oh and give away Ember for Flamethrower too. Once it learns that you can kick the crud out of Misty and her annoying Starmie.

Catch a Pikachu at the Viridian Forest and level up about Lv 25 learns Thunderbolt or catch Bellsprout/Oddish and learns a TM called Bullet Seed, it should able to defeat Misty's Water Pokemons.

Just do what I did: Throw your Pokémon at Starmie until at least one wins...

Seriously, I raised my Pikachu to level 25 so it learned ThunderBolt. I used my other Pokés to defeat Staryu and weaken Starmie, until my Pikachu was able to weaken it. Unfortuantely, Pikachu fainted, and my Charmelon defeated Starmie for me.

Weird, huh?

But honestly, get some more Pokémon.

A bit of common sense people, if mega mew is asking how to beat Misty, chances are s/he is at Misty and cannot go back for a Pikachu. Since beating Misty isn't an instant necessity the moment you reach Cerulean, fight Gary, catch a Bellsprout/Oddish, wrap around through Bill's House, go to Vermilion City, catch more pokemon around there, train them all up of the boat, THEN go back and fight Misty.

And you may want to turn your Caps Lock off.

you might wanna teach a gloom the move mega drain(since giga drain is available only after erica).you can also try dark moves like bite since her staryu and starmie are half water and half phsycic

Strangest thing is, my Charmeleon was the exact same lv. and he beat Starmie. I only used a Pikachu lv. 20 who defeated Staryu, and then hurt/PAR starmie. Then it fainted and I sent out Charmeleon (all I had was Charmeleon and Pikachu) and he defeated her with metal claw. But I suggest getting oddish/bellsprout, pikachu, and a dark pokemon from another version or at least a pokemon that knows bite.

You should have caught a Pikachu in Viridian Forest. I made sure I caught one before I left Pewter City. It makes Misty's battle very easy. I beat her very quickly.
