How do the 3D models from the Pokémon 3DS games compare to the models of the GCN games?

How do the 3D models from Pokémon gen VI & VII compare to the models of the Stadium and GCN games?

I have heard that the models from the 3DS games already had quite a high poly count and that when ran on a higher resolution they could look quite good, while I've also heard that the GCN games just used upscaled Stadium 2 models.

On the other hand, the GCN is slightly stronger than the 3DS (to my knowledge) and it's a home console that runs on a higher resolution, so perhaps the (rendered) polys could be higher but the textures worse or vice versa.

GCN models are worser, but with slightly better textures, basically. Even the 3rd generation models are worser than 3DS models. Same goes for 4th genration models in PBR.

3DS renders in 240p, but that doesn't effect the polygon count. So models look better when the game isn't rendered 240p.
