What is your strategy to catch pokemon?

My stategy is to weaken them to the low yellow or into the red. Then I give them a staus problem that doesnt hurt them. Then I lower there stats and chuck balls.

How do you use your balls?

If i see a very rare wild pokemon like chimeco or a shiny then ill use a luxury ball and othe rare balls but if its not rare then i just use balls you can buy at stores.

Into red health, then chuck ultra balls or a great ball if I'm feeling lucky. Great balls sometimes work too, but if they didn't they wouldn't exist.

I will start using Premier Balls, Luxury Balls, and other nice looking balls soon.

I like my pokemon being caught in Pokeballs only.I first get it to red or half green then throw a ball at it.

Usually just Wow whatever I'm trying to catch, stall for a few turns, then Ultra ball it. :D

I usually put wild pokemon to sleep and then throw a pokeball. But the thing I always do, is press "down+B" when the wild pokemon gets in the pokeball. It works for me.

I have a breloom for that. Spore it, False Swipe it then chuck a ball. I hardly ever have to throw a 2nd ball..

I throw Ultra Balls usually, unless it requires a Timer Ball (i.e. Skarmory/Torkoal/etc.). If it is a higher level one, I sometimes take it into yellow-never ed, b/c critical hits are terrors...

A good pokemon to battle with is a False Swiping Shedinja which I will have soon

I usually always keep a false-swiping altaria with me which also knows sing as well.

Here's my trick to capturing dittos: when a wild ditto appears, switch to a magikarp that only knows splash, let it transform, then switch to my false-swiper false swipe, then throw out a pokeball. Works like a charm.

I first put it to sleep and then use a somewhat effective attack on it. Then toss the ball and voila!

Through a pokeball and hope it hits. Except legedaries, where down there health and then try to use a status effect when possible.

I prefer the spore/false swipe Breloom. It is soooo easy to catch pokes that way (though, it takes a little while to breed it and train it---first, breed false swipe to it, then level up Shroomish to level 54 so it can learn Spore...sigh. It's well worth it, though). I trained to Shroomishes (one male and one female) to level 54 so I could just breed false swiping, sporing shroomishes. It's very convenient now I've done it.

When WiFi comes out, I'll trade Max Atk/speed shroomishes with false swipe and spore (and giga drain and whatever else).

Paralyze and then weaken them to red health. Sometimes use sleep, but to think that sleep won't last long, I use paralyze instead. That's the way I catch them, for me.

Unless it's the Safari Zone then I just paralyze, use False Swipe, and chuck balls at them. I have my own special team made specifically to catch Pokemon (my Shiny Hunters Team).

If it's Safarai Zone I just chuck balls till they are caught or run away.
