how do you save a print screen image into a .jpg?

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
There was a picture on a website that used flash, I hit the print screen key and brought the pic to Microsoft word. Now how do I change this to a .gif or .jpg so I can upload it to photobucket?

I know this is a sad question, but I'm desperate.

After you print screen it, you should paste it on Paint, then use the dotter square, [IMG139]http://img272.imageshack.us/img272/3662/item39gk.png[/IMG139] to highlight that image, then copy and paste it to another page. Then you could save it to a jpg.

Yeah, MS Word allows you only to save it as .doc. Use Paint or any other image program you might have.

But because of the nature of .jpg/.jpeg, you might want to save it to .png to get a better quality picture, because .jpg does some "blending" which you might not like.

You can just printscreen and paste it to paint directly.

That's right, JPEGs sometimes make pictures discolored, you might want to check out this article about image formats. For an example of .jpeg compression artifacts, or "blending", see the 3rd image down.
