how do you think they will make this game look?

Jade Star Trainer
will it be the same as leaf green or will they try to go with something different?

what i mean is do you think it will be over head view but with better graphics...and other stuff like that..

They will follow the same formula but with vamped-up graphics, most likely. I don't see any other system working to be quite honest with you; the formula that they have prescribed since R/B/Y works with flying colors and I doubt that they would risk trying any other system.

I'll have to agree with Eszett. There is no way they'll bring a new kind of battle system, or anything different. The graphics are fine the way they are, in my opinion, but they could add some 3-D things, if they'd like.

Hopefully, the way that Eszett said. I can't really see them using another way.

I have a feeling the battle graphics will blow us away. I'm surprised none of us have really started to consider that aspect of it. And even if you took that for granted, I just yeah, have a feeling this game will have some really great graphics for the battle effects.

I really can't predict with any confidence anything else.

I think that Ranger may give us hints at what to expect in D/P. Its still an over head look but there is a lot more freedom and information it can give us.

Hopefully the same nearly, but perhaps taller characters who don't walk block by block but freely.

Ranger has some nice graphic. It would not surprise me if the graphics in D/P were those or a close representation of those.

I expect for DP to have similar graphics to RSE but of course I expect for it to be enhanced b/c the game is jumping from GBA to DS. I see the game looking very realistic

I believed the graphics for Diamond and Pearl will be the same or closley similar to Pokemon Ranger. The graphics looked good in Pokemon Ranger also. For battling graphics, I think it might be a little different also. In Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow and Pokemon Gold, Silver, Crystal, the background on the battle scenes is just white. When Pokemon Ruby,Sapphire, Emerald, and Pokemon Leafgreen and Firered came it, the background on the battle scenes is not white anymore but is going with where you are battling (underwater, grass, cave, gym, etc.) I believed there will be more backgrounds like snow and a jungle (if there will be snow and jungle in the games). Also, I belived the way the attacks were visualized in the games will be a little different also, but not sure how yet.

I predict that the graphics will be similar to those found in Ranger. It seems like the next logical step, because it's moving the style forward a bit without deviating too drastically from what we've come to know and love: spritey goodness.

well I REALY hope that the games well have 3D grafics + I want them to put things different from before

What we have seen so far in Ranger seems cool, I wouldn't mind seeing that for DP. For battles, I really want enhanced graphics, ie background grass, water, jungle, snow etc. Also, I think the attacks should be slightly 3D if that happens.

If were talking about battles, I'm really hoping that they re-do the animations for the attacks. Flamethrower for ex--in some poke's it just waves around and looks like its coming out of theyr stomach or something. Hopefully they can fix that and make it appear to be exploding out from the mouth, or wherever that poke uses the move from....

I want to see 3D overworlds with the camera pointing at the same angle as Animal Crossing: WW fashion (without the whole "curvature of the earth" thing, of course). All objects on the map (People, items, signs, etc.) should be sprite based. I also want to see lighting effects as well, like if you're in a jungle, some beams of light could break through the trees.

For battle scenes, sprites on a detailed BG (no circles of land like the advance games), with all attacks being 3D. The trainer should also be a 2D sprite with a more fluid throwing animation.

Well ive seen some good ideas, especially the lighting idea. i think we could use some depth in the games. with a 3-D look but the same old Pokemon Games style. 2-D sprite system battle with better attack animations sounds good as well.

i dont really have any predictions of what the graphics may be like, other than the fact that they really could enhance the 2-D quite a bit, just for an example, look at Castlevania on the GBA, and then play Castlevania for the DS. they didnt change the gameplay formula at all, it was still a 2-D game, but the graphics looked spectacular, especially with the inclusion of a few 3-D effects. I think pokemon would definitely benefit from this kind of a facelift.
