How many games?

How many games do you think the fourth generation will consist of? How many games do you want? The first and second generations had three games a piece, the only exception for now is the third generation (five games).
I think that three games is the minimum - two "rival" games followed by a third, more refined, with more extras. If this is the last Pokemon series as some suspect, I would like four games. Three of which as described above, and a final Pokemon game with many features so the series would finish impressively. If this isn't the last generation I'd say we will have three games.

The "channel" like game is not part of the Pokemon 3rd-generation.

Well at least 4. The Wii game, and 3 handheld games.

I think either 3 or five because besides D/P there gonna be a third game like Emerald & maybe two games like LG/FR but in a different gen...who knows.

But green wasn't release in the US.....

3: D, P and the 3rd one. The only reson they made FR and LG was because it was the only way to get some Johto and Kanto Pokemon because we couldn't trade with older games.

Exactly! Just so you know, I was just trying to point out that there was four games, not be rude or start a war between me and Hothead.

Edit: Btw, I think that there will be 3 fourth gen games, unless they do a FrLg-type thing again.

And Green does count, regardless of being Japan only. Following your logic, a good chunk of games never existed then.

3 would be fine as D/P/? would be able to trade with R/S/E/FR/LG which would make any extra games unnecessary.
