How Many New Pokemon?

when g/s/c came out there was only 100 new pokemon. then when r/s/e came out there was 150 new pokemon. how many new pokemon do u think will come out for the 4th gen. i hope 300 new pokemon come out, but that's just a dream. there's probally only gonna be about 200 new pokemon. wat do u think? sorry if this has been discussed before.

135 Pokémon were added in the 3rd Generation. :)

I'd say 115 is a very accurate floor to round it to 501 Pokémon. But I'm expecting more, to be honest. :eek:

Same. It could be "the second Johto" (as evidently seen with babies and evolution(s)) and so might be more of an expansion of past Pokemon lines along with some new Pokemon. There may also have to be only a smallish number to ensure the series can drag out as long as possible - giving them more time to either A: Create more ideas or B: to decrease the rate of idea useage.

I seriously doubt it will be more than 130 TBH. Maybe that's for the best, I don't yet know. Oh, and there was a topic on this some time ago, most likely a few pages back...

I'm expecting 134/5 new pokes (501st on the national dex being Manafi). I also expect the non-national dex (ie the pokedex you start off with) to include 100 pokemon from previous generations

I expect 200 pokemon,but down to earth I only guess another like 115 to make 501 or whatever someone else said.

I heard somewhere that the game is going to have more new pkmn like any game before it. Duh, that'll get very many...

I think it's safe to say we can expect around the hundred mark. It must be hard to make new ones so 300 is way off base. 115 seems like a good guess.

Well to be Honest I think the reason why its taking them soo long to release the games was that they were making alot more pokemon than usal Im expecting 200 new it may seem very far fetched but its reasonable becuase since so many animals were Probably making alot more this time to buy time to make moe ideas for pokemon for the next Generation

I have an idea. What if we average the number of Pokemon released for each generation.
386/3=around 128
So my guess is between 125 and 130.

Actually, it was just 135 new Pokemon for the third generation.

The second generation only got 100 because of the limitations of the hexidecimal system.

I'd say the fourth generation will get somewhere between 115 and 140 new Pokemon. That will make over 500 new Pokemon.
