How much of a blend of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Pokemon would you like to see in D/P?

In Gold/Silver, there was a good number of 1st gen Pokemon. In Ruby/Sapphire, there was hardly any 1st or 2nd gen Pokemon, except when you were surfing/fishing (then you got a better blend of 1st gen and one 2nd gen) and the Safari Zone (which was made of half 1st gen, half 2nd gen).

So how much of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Pokemon would you like to see in D/P?

I would like to see a small percentage of Kanto Pokemon (10%), a larger number of Johto Pokemon (20%-25%), and a small number of Hoenn Pokemon (10%).

I want to see more Hoenns and LESS Jhotos because there are already so many ways to obtain johtos from other versions, so u could just trade.

Your logic is strange, Kabutops_Rulz. We could just trade Kanto and Hoenn Pokemon to D/P, as well, so saying 'because we could just trade the Johto's' doesn't make too much sense. We can get the Kanto and Hoenn Pokemon so easily, in a way that they won't all be ridiculously low leveled compared to our party. Sure, some of them take a while to get to, but after a while, leveling them up doesn't seem that bad. To me, it's strange to have the Johto Pokemon at such a low level where they appear outside of Colosseum. Having lots of them dispersed throughout the D/P region would be nice. A healthy mix of all three would be ideal, but I'd rather see more Johto Pokemon then anything. It's more fun building a team as you go through the game then doing so afterwards.

Agreed.
I'm with Koumori. I'd like to see a good deal of johto pokes in DP since there aren't that many to begin with in comparison to the other gens> 151, and 135. A balance of pokes would be nice, but the 4th gens would have to be the majority obviously, and 1st gens should be the minority.

;227; In the beginning of the game you have only D/P Pokemon so that it feels new and exciting. (That was the only big mistake in G/S, it was like "Oh no, not Rattata again, I want a NEW Pokemon to be irritating) Then as you go along you encounter some old ones, especially Johto and Kanto since D/P is speculated to be north of these regions.

It should be:

10% first generation
20% second
10% Third
60% fourth
More like

5% 1st Gen
10% 2nd Gen (cause there weren't really very many in R/S/E/FR/LG)
5% 3rd Gen
80% 4th Gen

In with the new and out with the old.

P.S. I know about the extras in Emerald Safari Zone, I was referring to the wild. Safari Zone would have most of the other
older Gen Pokes.

Well, it's a given that sneasel is going to be there. Snorlax and mr. mime should be wild, too. Pikachu just has to be there, and so does machop and tentacool.

I'd lean more towards maybe..
10% Kanto
25% Johto
5% Hoenn
60% D/P

Don't forget about Sudowoodo, either. Magikarp will probably be there, as well as Horsea. Psyduck seems likely, as well.

Why sudowoodo? Although I suppose it needs to native to SOMEWHERE, and D/P region is as good a place as any. And magikarp. I mean, they're everywhere...

LoL b/c of Bonsly. In RSE, Wynaut and Azurill were introduced, and both of their evos, marril and wobbuffet were available in hoenn in the wild, so you should see Sudowoodo available in the DP region in the wild as well; via event most likely.

These percentages are for the total number of Pokemon being included in the game:

Kanto: about 10% (including Slowpoke for non-LG possessers, Jynx because I said so, and Ditto for obvious reasons)
Johto: 20%
Hoenn: 10%
New Region Name: 60%

However, I believe that percentages are rather useless in this environment since there are a variable number of D/P Pokemon available, so time for raw numbers (these were composed by totaling specific Pokemon from the region and do not necessarily reflect my percentages):

Kanto: 19 (18 in Regional Dex since I want Ditto to be available in the Emerald sense)
Johto: 29
Hoenn: 6
New Region Name: 134 (this value was calculated from the percentages/aformentioned numbers)

...NINE-THOUSAND!!!!
Well, we know Snorlax, Sudowoodo, Mr. Mime, & Sneasel will be available.

If there's gonna be any Hoenn pokemon in the new region, they better have Trapinch.

sorry for not explaining myself. I probly sound like a nOOb. Nintendo made it so u can get Johto pokemon from different places, and doesnt like Johto for some reason, so it is likely there wont be much Johto Pokemon in D/P beause theyve already used a couple of regions as "fillers" for Johto pokemon and they dont need to use much more, maybe a couple for you Johto enthusiasts out there but it looks like thats about it. Kapeesh?

Just because other regions have a certain pokemon doesn't mean that D/P can't. Besides, an equal amount of Kanto, Johto and Hoenn pokemon would be best.

It would, but thatd be unlikely to happen, because it never has happnened before

I don't know what you have against Johto pokemon, but there is likely to be at least two. (Sneasel and Sudowoodo) But hopefully there'll be many more.

Here's the deal. From my sources, I'm hearing you start out with a batch of brand new Pokemon. But once you've beaten the game once, then you're able to bring in Pokemon from the previous games. It's kind of like how they did it in FireRed/LeafGreen.
