How much time should I spend training my pokemon?

Okay, I have 2 badges in my Emerald version, and I am currently training at route 110. I am trying to get all my pokemon to level 20. I have already been playing for 55:54. I have about 36 pokemon and 38 pokedex registrations. So how long do you think I should actually train my pokemon for? In my game before (I started over) I spent over 80 hours training and then just started over because I wanted a shiny starter and never got it...so I started over for nothing. But still.

ok, don't try get a shiny. That is so difficult 1/8192.
Better go to another place to train, go to win mauville badge. 55 hours is really alot. If you want all six on lv20, that is no good tactic. You need only 3 Pokemons to beat e4(no six-that is so difficult)
Sceptile/Swampert/Blaziken,Swellow/Beautiffuly,Dustox or Shedinja and Camerupt/Machoke

Shiny Pokemon Chaser Ky

Um, a shiny is worth it. So I would keep trying. Just soft reset in front of the professors satchel.

How is it worth it? Who really cares if you have a miscolored pokemon? It's no different from normal ones aside from the colors.

Just go to route 117, east of mauville, and beat the trainers/ wild Illumise.

Oh, I tried, but I already saved after I got my Torchic. After I realized that I would never get a shiny, I just decided to start my game. And I have roughly 36 pokemon...not 6. ^^ 38 pokedex registrations. Meaning some evolved. (duh) Route 117 I usually find only Zigzagoon so...and I already beat all those trainers so my Ralts could level up easier...darn Ralts...

Edit: Actually, I have two Ralts...one has Synchronize and the other has Trace. I have two Zigzagoon, one with Cut, and two Lotad/Lombre, because the first one I caught had a Sassy nature...x.x, and I have two Plusle (YAY! They are so rare in Emerald and I find them a lot actually), and 3 Nincada. (I put my male and female one in the day care and didn't realize it until I found a stupid egg....now I have 3 to train and they are so hard to train...

Keep training them all equally but keep your starter at 3 levels higer just incase you run into a spot of trouble.

Only train 2 or 3 Pokemon MAX for now. I had my Torchic untill the 4th badge. (It evolved before the 2nd badge)

Sorry this is a bit off topic, but after reading this I kinda thought about maybe restarting again. I started a few days ago with Mudkip. I'm at the E4 now and thought I'd rather have a torchic instead. Is it worth restarting or should I continue and be happy with Mudkip?

Use your Poke'Nav to train.

BTW: Hydronus

You could get a Torchic out of a trade and train it.

Thanks for the advice, but I don't really know anyone to trade with :(

I thought this thread died...lol

I'm at Fallorbor Town now...actually, I went back to Mauville to train/get more Volbeat! Most of my pokemon are level 20 now...I have a few level 21+. I'm trying to get them to level 24. Volbeat are so cute, and I get them from eggs! I got a trick from someone and at first it wasn't woeking but then I got a Volbeat! (Leave an Illumise and another male compatible pokemon in the Day Care, get an egg, hatch it, and have a 50/50 chance of either Volbeat/Illumise!)

volbeat is actually a good pokemon if you train it right, and give it a good moveset.

I know...but I mainly like it because it's cute. But when it hatched, it's exp needed to gain a level is 169, the HARDEST pokemon to train...easiest would be 44. Well, I think that's right, anyway...

I may restart in a few minutes. I don't really have a good team compatible with Swampert. But I have thought about a really good team to put with Torchic. I have three Pokemon at the moment: Swampert, Swellow, and Electrode.
